Disgusting! Obama White House Continues to Mislead on Cost of O-Care & Media Continues to Give Them a Pass

In March 2010 leading democrats and their lackeys in the state-run media were “just giddy” to report that they crunched some numbers and found the nationalized health care bill they were pushing would reduce the deficit by $138 billion.
It was a lie. Democrats knew it was a lie
But, after several backroom deals they rammed the bill through Congress anyway.

Then in May of 2010 the CBO corrected the numbers and said Obamacare will cost taxpayers at least $115 billion more than promised. Democrats pulled a fast one on the American public.
Republican Senators pointed out the deceit in a 2010 video:

Democrats promised that Obamacare would cost $940 billion when they rammed it through Congress. The actual cost has gone up with each revision.

The latest CBO estimate says ObamaTax will cost $2.6 trillion nearly three times as much as Democrats predicted.

Despite these facts the Obama White House continues to mislead Americans on the cost of Obamacare… And the media allows them to get about with it.
The Examiner reported:

House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, notwithstanding, the White House would rather go over the fiscal cliff than touch any part of Obamacare, President Obama’s spokesman indicated today.

“The Affordable Care Act reduces the deficit considerably,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters today. “I would simply point out to you that the Supreme Court has spoken, the American people have spoken, congressional leaders of both parties have spoken, and we’re going to continue with implementation.”

Boehner said that the fiscal cliff negotiations need to include Obamacare. “The president’s health care law adds a massive, expensive, unworkable government program at a time when our national debt already exceeds the size of our country’s entire economy,” he wrote in an op-ed for the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Supremes allow new challenge to Obamacare

[The U.S. Supreme Court today ordered a federal appeals court to
review Liberty University’s claim that Congress violated the Christian
school’s religious freedoms by forcing it to provide federally mandated
insurance and requiring payment for abortion-related services.

“I am very pleased with the high court’s ruling,” said Mat Staver, founder
and chairman of Liberty Counsel, which is fighting the case on behalf of
    Liberty University.]

fairy, i mean, very nice Republicans, no offense to homosexuals..

[Republican Senator Saxby Chambliss has stated that he has no intention of abiding by his pledge and is willing to acquiesce to capping deductions. He stated, “I care more about my country than I do about a 20-year-old pledge. If we do it [Norquist’s] way then we’ll continue in debt, and I just have a disagreement with him about that.”

Congressman Peter King followed suit by saying, “I agree entirely with Saxby Chambliss. A pledge you signed 20 years ago, 18 years ago, is for that Congress. The world has changed and the economic situation is different.”

That sounds like shaky justification by cowardly Republican leaders that don’t see the long term picture. Penalizing those that have the nerve to be successful only serves as an incentive to limit success. As the middle class relies on the success of job producers, it is short-sided to view this strictly as a fight to preserve income at the top levels.

Even Senator Lindsay Graham got in on the fun by claiming, “I agree with Grover, we shouldn’t raise rates, but I think Grover is wrong when it comes to we can’t cap deductions and buy down debt. What do you do with the money? I want to buy down debt and cut rates to create jobs, but I will violate the pledge, long story short, for the good of the country, only if Democrats will do entitlement reform.”]

pardon the tedium: THE USUAL SUSPECTS ARE IN BED TOGETHER..

The latest CBO estimate says ObamaTax will cost $2.6 billion

Bullcrap! That is what Senate Republicans say. They just want you to think that it comes from the CBO. Read the fine print. Here is what the CBO says.

Letter to the Honorable John Boehner providing an estimate for H.R. 6079, the Repeal of Obamacare Act

What Is the Impact of Repealing the ACA on the Federal Budget?
Assuming that H.R. 6079 is enacted near the beginning of fiscal year 2013, CBO and JCT estimate that, on balance, the direct spending and revenue effects of enacting that legislation would cause a net increase in federal budget deficits of $109 billion over the 2013–2022 period. Specifically, we estimate that H.R. 6079 would reduce direct spending by $890 billion and reduce revenues by $1 trillion between 2013 and 2022, thus adding $109 billion to federal budget deficits over that period.

We must remain committed to getting Obamacare repealed and we must make sure it isn’t replaced by single payer. We know the cost of Medicare increased tenfold from its original annual budget to today. Obamacare will be much more expensive and even less effective. When the young people find out it is not free but that their premiums will rise to cover all of the additional Obamacare coverages and the old people find out that, while their benefits were not reduced by the $716 billion cuts to Medicare to pay for Obamacare, doctors and hospitals will ration their services to Medicare patients because their business bottom line will require them to do so. Hopefully, the chains of Obamacare will open all Americans’ eyes.

    CBO Analysis

[“Congressional Democrats delayed these provisions in order to show
only six years of spending under the plan in the original 10-year budget
window (from FY2010-19) used by CBO at the time the law was enacted,
    ” said the press release.

Thus, an full estimate of the law’s cost must cover 2014-2023, the first
decade the Affordable Care Act will be in full swing. The Senate Budget
Committee found that total spending over that period will amount to at
    least $2.6 trillion.

After the Supreme Court upheld the law as constitutional, the CBO
promised to score the law again and release that score the week
    of July 23.

“CBO is still assessing the effects of the Supreme Court’s decision
related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on the agency’s projections
of federal spending and revenue under current law,” CBO Director
Doug Elmendorf wrote in a Monday blog post.]

CBO Releases Two Analyses Related to the Affordable Care Act

Updated Budget Projections: Fiscal Years 2012 to 2022

    [Changes in CBO’s Baseline Projections
    Since January 2012

The recent revisions to CBO’s baseline projections include estimates of
the effects of legislation enacted in the past two months as well as so
    – called technical changes – revisions that occur for reasons other than
new laws or updated economic information. (As it typically does for its
March baseline projections, CBO has used the same set of economic
assumptions developed for the January baseline.) CBO now estimates
that, without further changes to tax and spending laws, the deficit for
2012 will be $93 billion larger than the $1.1 trillion figure projected in
January; however, CBO’s new baseline projections show a cumulative
deficit for the following 10 years that is $186 billion smaller than the
$3.1 trillion total projected in January. As a result, CBO now projects
deficits totaling about $2.9 trillion over the 2013–2022 period under
the assumptions of the baseline. In contrast, under the alternative
    fiscal scenario described above,]

Hey Shadow, you might want to go back to huffpo as it is very unlikely anyone reading this blog is going to believe your propaganda.

That was a real cute bait and switch lie you tried to claim regarding that cbo estimate. It was NOT from anything Boehner requested. In fact, it was yet another obfuscation by Democrats where they created their own version of facts and asked the cbo to score their fantasy.

The real problem is that Democrat SPENDING on MANY programs is UNSUSTAINABLE. The idiotic Democrats are fantasizing how increasing revenues by 80 or 160 billion dollars a year is going to fix a 1,200 billion dollar a year problem.

The Democrats have no plan to stop this UNSUSTAINABLE spending. Only a complete fool can possibly think this is going to end well. And of course, the people that will be trampled the worst are the very bottom feeders that just voted for Obama.

Few Americans are ever likely to see George
    W. Bush’s greatest environmental legacy ….

Report Shows Air Quality Improved During Bush Administration

[President George W. Bush drew the ire of environmental groups throughout his eight years in the White House, perhaps the loudest in 2003 when he announced that he would end a Clean Air Act program that required older power plants, refineries and industrial sites to install pollution control devices when they expanded their operations.

But in looking over the data on air quality from the Bush years, Hayward notes that levels of most air pollutants decreased at a faster rate than they did during the Clinton administration.

“Mostly of it’s technological change. Quite a bit of it’s been forced by regulation, but a lot of it has been the marketplace,” Hayward said. “The EPA has models that project an 80 percent decline in auto emissions. Nothing Bush could have done was going to change that.”]

    re: Kyoto

    [Putting on a climate-friendly face

When Al Gore and Bill Clinton came to Kyoto to take part in the negotiations, they had already given up hope of achieving an agreement that would be acceptable to the Senate, according to the researchers. Gore, who led the negotiations for the Americans, knew that he would not be able to get the minimum 67 of the 100 senators needed to support ratification.

“Instead Gore and Clinton set out to negotiate an agreement that would give the administration a climate-friendly face. They succeeded, but the agreement was so unappealing to the US legislators that the president and vice president did not even send it to the Senate for deliberation when they came home. That was how certain they were it would not be accepted,” Dr Hovi explains.

According to some US delegates to Kyoto, the US negotiators believed it was possible to get the Senate’s support for an agreement that committed the US to a zero per cent increase in emissions from 1990 to 2012. But when Al Gore arrived at the table, he said the US had to give more, and consequently the delegation ended up committing the Americans to a seven per cent reduction in emissions. Gore knew that US legislators would not accept this since the Senate had just unanimously approved a resolution that went in the opposite direction.

Now, in Washington, we have corrupt and craven politicians who stress the sovereignty of government, collectivism, reliance on handouts and the need for an unconstrained government.

But we Constitutional Conservatives are the extreme ones, right?

I HOPE AND PRAY FOR THE DAY WE ALL ARE LIKE THIS. IF I LIVE THAT LONG.
