I am going to pick out a nice bottle of wine this afternoon. The tsunami is coming, team. Have faith.

  • Sparky

Let’s hope Morris is right because if Obama is re-elected, he will have 4 years to wreak more havoc and be totally unchecked by Senate, Congress or the Constitution.

Obama will rule as a dictator through the use of executive order.

  • n_bourbaki

This is actually Dick Morris in damage control, walking back his landslide prediction and even leaving daylight (“10% chance”) for an Obama victory. The final shoe dropping was the Gallup likely poll swinging back to Obama today. Prepare for a bad night tomorrow.

I’m fairly optimistic. My Tea Party sources say that Conservatives are fired up (no shock there), and they have been hitting the ground hard, especially in swing states like OH. And it’s easy to see that Obama support is much less excited now than 2008. Even just a 5% reduction of Owe support makes a huge difference. Romney in a squeaker.

  • retired militaryq

    Romney 320-218 Obama
    Romney 54 – 46 Obama
Republicans 51 senate seats and gain 2 house seats.

Chris Matthews will have a heart attack before the night is over.

  • DMG

There’s a 100% chance the Morris is full of crap. Now mind you, Romeny may indeed win, but win or lose, Morris is still full of crap.

  • Hoser

Does anyone else get that Megyn Kelly is thinking “I bet that lil fella is focusing on my toes”.

I agree with Morris by the way, I’m feeling landslide tomorrow.

  • The Central Scrutinizer

Morris has my hopes hope so high that if Obama actually wins I might have to go to Morris’ house and beat him with a sack of nickles.

Gallup did not swing in Obama favor today. Romney is still up among likely voter in both Gallup and Rasmussen.

    Hey, #5, n-bourbaki:

You are at the wrong site; you’re looking for the big Orange hate group, Kos.

Begone and take your fear-mongering with you.

Romney will not lose if the election is fair. We have to be on our toes for the Progressive thieves hijacking the election through fraud. It is the one thing at which Obama, Axelrod and Jarrett thrive.

    Romney-Ryan 2012!

  • FurryGuy

I do believe that Mr. Morris is taking into account the overwhelming amount of voter fraud/vote stealing that Barry and the Dems will perpetrate, openly or in the guise of “preserving democracy.”

  • DMG

    #10 CS

Could I talk you into doing it, either way. Oh, and if it makes you feel any better, Morris also predicted that McCain would win in a landslide, and that Republicans would take the Senate in 2010.

  • Sandy

DMG you may not like Dick Morris but he told us the truth about the dishonesty of the rest of the pollsters. By comparing turnout in 2012 to a record Dem turnout in 08 and ignoring the fact the Romney has a double digit lead in Independents these pollsters appear to be trying to effect the outcome this election.

  • DMG

Romney will not lose if the election is fair.

That’s the kind of partisan pabulum that makes trips to the Gateway so entertaining. Either our side wins or the other side cheated. LOL

  • DMG

    #15 Sandy
Actually he did not tell you the truth. The polsters are conducting the polls as they always do, and are reporting what they find. They do seek out or adjust the results for professed party affiliation. They merely report what they are told.

Morris is a hack, and always has been.

Let’s hope Morris is right because if Obama is re-elected we’ll never have another election.

  • Sandy

DMG — its obvious that you bleed Obama and that nothing I can say to you will change that.

    Exactly!

All I care about is that if there is verified voter fraud this year again, then this Obama should be put on trial for it win or lose. This is not how we Americans operate, not on our watch.

Like there is anything I can say that will change the way YOU think?

  • DMG

All I care about is that if there is verified voter fraud this year again,

Examples please. And don’t confuse voter registration fraud with voter fraud. Only one involves actual voting.

  • Monkey Wrench

We should have a thread where everyone predicts the number of electorial college votes each candidate will get.

  • http://yahoo fthomascain

Dick Morris is usually wrong – in 2010 he said we would pick up 7 senators and control of the senate – did not happen – I hope he is right this time!

  • n_bourbaki

    #11 Previous Gallup: R 51 O 46. Todays R 49 O48. How is that not a swing to Obama?

#12 Im as hard right as anyone here. You should google something called “the principle of parsimony”.

I’ve always heard it referred to as Occam’s Razor.

I enjoy this website, but I do find that the people tend to think with their hearts instead of their heads.

This election is pretty close. Obama has a small but stubborn lead in the polls. The big hope for Romney is that there is a last minute swing in his favor. There is some evidence this could happen from the size of his crowds. We’ll know soon. I’m ready for this election to be over!

  • n_bourbaki

#28 Yes, its the same as Occam’s, and aka “Kindly remove rose-colored goggles”.

  • Mike

    #5, n-bourbaki: Gallup has Romney +1. Nice try. #FAIL

  • Big Red

Think of it as a boxing match. Obama came out swinging and won the first four rounds. Romney then came back and won the last eight rounds convincingly. Basically, all Axelrod is saying now is that he thinks his man did enough to win. Not a very convincing argument, wouldn’t you say?

  • n_bourbaki

    #30 Mike:

I know Gallup has it +1 Romney. I’m talking about the change from the previous Gallup, which was +5 Romney. 5-1=4>0.

  • DMG

Romney then came back and won the last eight rounds convincingly.

And that’s where your view of things seems a bit jaded.

oh please don’t fall for that contrivied baloney.

  • neverends

Remember that Morris was exactly right about the 2010 midterms. If anyone is stupid enough to think that Obama is more popular now than in 2010, they need to visit their doctor and get some serious medication. Bamey is not just toast, but burnt toast!!

  • Big Red

#33-Jaded? No, it’s right on the mark. Take off your pink goggles and you’ll see I’m right.

That is something you so categorically fail to grasp, that words are meaningless unless backed up by deeds and actions. And so far your Messiah has failed on all counts with empty platitudes and pie-in-the-sky rhetoric. So many promises, no follow-through.

All you do is hurl invective because some people have the bald-faced temerity to demand that words are backed up by more than political hot air.

I counter you with your question, with a bit of a twist:

Is there anything that someone can say and/or DO to change the way you think, without compromising one’s ethics, morality or integrity?

  • Monkey Wrench

Neither one of these guys is all that popular. Obama is more popular among Latinos. He’s winning their vote by a landslide. Romney has closed the gender gap to some extent.

It’s going to be close. Romney is counting on a last minute swing in his favor, which could happen. He does seem to be drawing large crowds here at the end. But Obama still has a slight edge.

  • Lucy

Morris never predicted McCain would be a landslide.. right. Morris is in the same electoral votes as Barone, and George Will. Dick Morris is so confident I believe him.
