Dem Rep. Hank Johnson: Amend the Constitution to Control Speech (Video)

Democratic Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) is calling for an amendment to the US Constitution to control speech.
He also says “corporations control patterns of thinking.”

This is one crazy cat.
CBS Local reported:

A Democratic representative is calling for an amendment to the United States Constitution that would allow for some legislative restriction of freedom of speech.

“We need a constitutional amendment that would allow the legislature to control the so-called free speech rights of corporations,” Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) was quoted as saying by CNS News.

He reportedly made these comments while speaking at the Annesbrooks HOA candidate Forum held last month.

In a video obtained by the website, Johnson asserts that “corporations control … patterns of thinking.”

“They control the media. They control the messages that you get,” he added. “And these folks … are setting up a scenario where they’re privatizing every aspect of our lives as we know it. So, wake up! Wake up! Let’s look at what’s happening.”

Has this guy ever been brought in for a psychological exam?

Not surprising, this is the same ignorant lunatic who questioned an Admiral if the island of Guam would tip over and sink if more people were put on the island.

Sure thing comrade, the next time you lie mr. congressman, we make you sack less.

  • Anybody stop and think this chap is simply extolling the virtues of the entire current administration, most Democrats and all of the left, especially their media ?

Anybody stop and think the ‘nudges’ have been getting a bit more ‘nudgier’ and visibly shifting over to ‘shove’ territory ?

Weimar Republic……… Get the rich……… Get the corporations……… Get the J………………

    Never mind.

    It can’t happen here.

None of it has been planned and ‘nudged’ into place over decades via the building one-world government through ICR2P.

    It’s all complete coincidences.

    Forget I said anything.

Seems to me the media got the idiot re elected. And the next speech we will control is that of racist, idiotic elected officials who can’t balance a budget.

Yet another ‘face’ of the modern Dim Party. Oooooh, he’s protected…. don’t want to seem raaaaacist.

And more from our friends on the Left…

Now, bear all this is mind as you consider the second and more recent Gitmo gambit. On Wednesday, in response to a whistleblowing report from Fox News homeland security reporter Catherine Herridge, Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) released a General Accounting Office report exploring the feasibility of transferring the Gitmo gang to civilian prisons.

Lo and behold, Feinstein concluded, the report “demonstrates that if the political will exists, we could finally close Guantanamo without imperiling our national security.”

The “political will” does not exist now nor has it ever. But thanks to Obama’s sneaky, back-door misappropriation of government funds to buy Thomson, the feds have exactly what they need to fulfill the progressive-in-chief’s Gitmo closure promise: a shiny, turn-key palace in crony land tailor-made for union workers, lawyers, and terror plotters to call their new home.

When the War on Terror meets the Chicago Way, we all pay.

Feeling safe and secure in these United States? You can thank Barry.

Hank is quoting psycho killer Jarred Loughner who famously ranted ” THEY CONTROL THE GRAMMAR ” …>

I thought he swore an oath to uphold and defend the constitution. . He should be held in contempt and tried for treason. .

    Same as OBAMA

  • RickZ

I think someone should amend Hank Johnson from breathng to not.

We fought the Civil war for what. Lincoln was wrong. The South should have been blockaded by the troops on landand on sea. Let everyone leave via NO or Florida to the Carribbean. If the Euos or the russians try to fill up the void, well we’d know what to do,one way or another.
Morons. Where is the guy that saind that GUam would roll over if there were more troops.
Speaking of Guam, The State guard ofGuam has been brought over for Manuevers. Itis the largest transfer of troops ever I heard. Never heard it again tho. This is the samething that Chaina did for uprisngs, and Iran too- bring in troops from outlyuing areas that do not know any one and have no compunction to crush humans like a roach.

Typical Liberal tactic. Accuse the Right of what your trying to do. “They’re privatizing every aspect of out lives as we know it”. How laughable when it is the complete opposite and government is taking over everything. Wouldn’t it be great if everything was being “Privatized”. Oh,tell your lefty pals congressman, that we haven’t forgot obama and most of the dems this past election, have gotten in only because of massive voter fraud and Obama and the government are completely illegitimate. We know there are still much more of us than you.

Wake up America! Corporations are manipulating emotions with words to get you to like what they’re selling.

Personally, I think Hank is right this time. But if we’re going to criminalize word manipulation, then I think Stephen King should go to jail.

True story, Misery is not a true story. Every word a fabrication of Mr. King’s imagination and he sold a heck of a lot of those little bundles of fictional propaganda. Down with Stephen King (unless of course he’s got another one in the works).

“Well yes, I gave the Scarecrow a brain, Tin Man got a heart, Lion got courage but I never heard or saw a guy named Hank needing a clue. Most people already have that.”

  • bigL

let’s see if this mastermind- stevey Wonder can ash-can his career like Oprah did endorsing that dope…

  • The big problem of controlling speech is who does the controlling. Idiots like him think that they will be in charge, but in truth he would be one of the first to have his speech curtailed, as only official government pronouncements would be allowed, and public speech will be reduced to blogs full of cat pictures, if even that.

  • squeaky

“corporations control … patterns of thinking.” he said that with a straight face?! :/

  • yes we need need to control the corporations while government(politicans)is our friend. because throughout history oppressed people have been oppressed by corporations not government.

  • Aubrey

Yep, as Lt. Col. Allen West observed, Congress is full of Communists.

  • SeniorD

Thinking adults KNOW the Political Class is only interested in gathering as much power and wealth as they can. They ignore their own Marxist/Socialist/Communist manipulation (see Great Depression, Rooseveltian antics, Dewey’s Public Schools, Great Society, PBS, NPR,etc.) yet blame corporations for their actions. This leads us to conclude: Government and Corporations are creations of Man. As such, they have no soul and their ethics devolve to the lowest common denominator.

  • BurmaShave

Democratic Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) is concerned that some people might use the media to try to control the government.

What a perfect A$$! Where the H has this retard been his whole life? What the H does he think the MFM has been doing his whole life? On top of that incandescent idiocy this complete bigot is complaining about prejudice! That pretty well calibrates his intelligence. If one squared his IQ, a small negative number would result.

Democratic Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) is one very good reason some people have a low regard for blacks. I mean if they insist on voting for THE MOST stupid, incompetent, and racist people (also Cynthia McKinney) to represent them, it is reasonable to conclude that blacks might be stupid, incompetent, and racist.

When I hear politicians throwing their weight around like this Pelosi acolyte, I ask rhetorically: Just whose government is this anyway? Of course, when a Progressive Democrat – with totalitarian leanings, like this incipient Nazi – hears such a question they unconsciously presume that it is theirs.

  • Johnson asserts that “corporations control … patterns of thinking.” “They control the media.

Oh no, Mr. Johnson, it is the Dems, Libs, crazy people you, and the Obama Administration that are controling the mainstream media and trying to control our patterns of thinking. Oh dear, I have just disagreed with something a black person said. Now I’m a racist.

oh i agree , “corporations control.. the Progressive Democratic Congress and then some, ergo’s, Rino’s ..patterns of thinking.”

[The largest banks are actually bigger than they were when he took
office. And earned more in the first two-and-a-half years of his term
than they did during the entire eight years of the Bush administration.]

[Democrats beat the market by 73 basis points per month, compared
to 18 for Republicans. That’s a rout anyway you look at it. Senators
fare even better than house members.]
