Bill O’Reilly: “It’s Not a Traditional America Anymore” (Video)

It’s Not a Traditional America Anymore–
Bill O’Relly offered this shrewd analysis of the 2016 election tonight before the votes were even reported in any of the swing states.
O’Reilly said,

It’s not a traditional America anymore. People want stuff. They want things. And who is going to give them things? President Obama. He knows it and he ran on it. Whereby twenty years ago President Obama would be roundly defeated by an establishment candidate like Mitt Romney. The white establishment is now the minority. The voters, many of them, feel like the economic system is stacked against them. And they want stuff. You’re going to see a tremendous Hispanic vote for President Obama. Overwhelming black vote for President Obama. And women will probably break President Obama’s way. People feel they are entitled to things. And which candidate between the two is going to give them things?

As long as we invite in the LCD from around the world in here without any checks or balances, as long as the bottom feeders keep sucking off of the bottle of Mother Government, then sadly, O’Reilly is correct.

I’m a hispanic woman. I don’t vote my vagina or my ethnicity. I love Romney and he stood for. I cringed at the Akins of the world. I dislike the President’s crudeness. I dislike all the tv pundits. Thank god for the blogs.

To say that I am bittery disappointed ltonight would be an understatement. However, it is a toss between the election results and the conservative new media that warrants my disappointment and distain. How many of you knew before tonight that htis would be the end result and still cheered us on to defeat?

  • I’ve decided that if that many Americans want to vote for a lying sack of crap like Obama, then who are we to fight it?

    I give up.

Where’s my free health care?! Health care is a right and so it should be supplied by the government! And if health care is free, so should my shelter be free! Where’s my free house? Work? Screw it. I’m not looking for work anymore! I wouldn’t want to mess up Obama’s statistics. Where’s my free money? And I need a free lawyer to sue the government for not giving me these things! If we have a RIGHT to an attorney, where do they get off charging money? If doctors have to give their services at government mandate, then so should lawyers!

Why should I try to get a job or build a business if my success is taxed so much? BUY health insurance? With what? I’m unemployed.

    Classy concession speech! Thanks, Mitt.

The point O’Reilly made is one that Thomas Sowell has been hammering on for months on end, which is that once you have more than 50% of the electorate dependent on government, you’ve bought the vote and ensured your power. This is what FDR did. This is what Obama did. It’s sad to think that this is the kind of America so many Americans want. I’m in a state of shock. Just can’t absorb what happened tonight or fully the implications of it. Just to dreadful to even entertain.

Then I said, Obama give us YOUR money. Instead of the house in Hawaii give those you promised a share or how about sweepstakes, and have all these dependents on government live in that house for a week each.

Spread some of your wealth around. America is bankrupt.

    Why is everyone sad here??

    So the “gimme” crowd won.

I guess the near future is going to be centered around how I, as a productive citizen, will not be funding their life and making mine worse.

But no one is checke3d nor is going to be as far as heath isconcerned. The tensts mighthave ben minimal but at least at the time of Ellis Island, the medicos wnted a health immigrant population. Now we have heirloom diseases and who know what parasites being brought in. Plus these people are thrown into the health system with no regard. they should be checked and sent back, jsut as it eventually worked out in 1900s, sent back at the shipping line expense.

I’m not inclined to work my a** off to pay for other people’s ‘things’. Pay for your own crap, people.

Funny how people think they can vote for big taxes and spending and think that everything else will stay the same. it won’t. And those same people won’t like the actual changes that come to the economy. Unfortunately, they won’t understand why things are so bad. They’ll keep blaming the wrong things.

The best thing about this election: Romney does not get to take credit

  • thescribbler

So exactly what happens when Obama can no longer deliver “stuff” because there simply isn’t any money to do so? Will the blind open their eyes then and see? Apparently it would take him sitting in the oval office ripping the heads off of bunnies to get people to see who he really is. All I can say is, when it hits the fan….the blame can’t be laid at my feet. When the have nots have even less, when the gravy train stops running while Obama becomes richer and richer…maybe they’ll see. Of course it will be too late. I hate what they’ve done to my country, I hate what they’ve done to her people. God gave man free will and they try to take Him out of our lives, our only saving grace is that those who stand true to Him will one day be rewarded. This is the only hope that I have for the future.

I hope the companies start laying off all the liberals in their companies as I believe many will be cut as the policies of the liberals take effect. Obamacare, taxes, Red tape, Regulations, Higher electric costs, food and gas. Inflation. I bet gold futures just peaked.

For once Bill is right. And we have a president who hates 1/2 of the country and wants revenge, is out to destroy our country itself and our military. Well, Obama lovers, he did what he promised. He has fundamentally changed America. Hope we survive. The House is the only thing that will be able to fight back. And what will be left of the Supreme Court when Obama is done? The Traitor bought the election on stuff – “free” stuff – that you and I pay for. Had Romney had the guts to do it, he would have ripped this traitor to shreds whenever he had the chance. He is a good man, but he played only one tune and this was a very dirty campaign. Comrade Barry (spit) runs on dirty.

RIP the GOP. The GOP is finished.
Long Live the Tea Party. A new great Conservative political force will rise in the wake of the utter destruction and devastation wrought by the Traitor and his vile minions.

  • Robert

So I worked tonight, didn’t hear anything until about 12:45 am when I got back to my truck. And driving home, I was thinking the same thing, that we must have a nation of people who want things from the government. I will have to digest this for a time and figure out what it means. The wealth and power of America is dissipating, becoming illusory. It is still there to some extent, but the foundation is crumbling. It is very sad, and a bit scary.

  • Dave in NYC

This is silly. I’m a Democrat but I should be in the Republican Party’s sweet spot – upper middle class, white, straight, Jewish male. But I also have friends who Republicans would deport for no good reason. I have friends and relatives who Republicans would deny the ability to serve their country or marry the people they choose. And I have a wife whose reproductive organs Republicans want to control.

Until the Republicans wake up on these issues, they are going to have a hard time winning my vote, regardless of whether it’s in my best interests economically. It has nothing to do with wanting a handout–my wife and I work our asses off, we save our money, *and* we pay more in taxes than the vast majority of Repulican voters while receiving fewer benefits.

If the Republicans had more credibility on economic issues it might be a little different. But when I look at Republicans I see a party that would have driven the country off an economic cliff at the depths of the financial crisis for purely ideological reasons. I see a party that claims to be concerned about the national debt but whose primary concern is cutting taxes, which will increase the budget deficit, not reduce it.

So yes, right now, I vote for the Democrats, but not with any enthusiasm. Give me a reason to do otherwise, rather than telling me I’m a freeloader looking for a handout. Because after I see the victory speech, I’m turning on my laptop and going back to work.

Romney lost becuase he allowed Obama to use the auto bailouts. He didnt use Obamas tax /fee lies on Obamacare

    1. Obama went on tv and swore it was a NOT A TAX then went to supreme court and swore it WAS. HE LIED TO YOU AMERICA

    2. Obama claimed fair share and Level playing field but gave GM $50 Billion and then changed laws to allow $45 billion in tax writeoffs. Not fair or level. He also closed 10 GM plants and closed 2200 dealers and killed 100,000 jobs.

    3. He allowed Libya to be dealt with by Fox and hidden by the MSM. He HAD to chalenge Obama on those.

    4. Romney won the first debate and then went on defense and played NOT TO LOSE. Thats always a failure.

Pedophiles want same rights as homosexuals

[Using the same tactics used by “gay” rights activists, pedophiles have
begun to seek similar status arguing their desire for children is a sexual
orientation no different than heterosexual or homosexuals.

Critics of the homosexual lifestyle have long claimed that once it became
acceptable to identify homosexuality as simply an “alternative lifestyle”
or sexual orientation, logically nothing would be off limits. “Gay”
advocates have taken offense at such a position insisting this would
never happen. However, psychiatrists are now beginning to advocate
redefining pedophilia in the same way homosexuality was redefined
    several years ago.]

    go figure..

[“A man can marry a girl younger than nine years of age, even if the girl
is still a baby being breastfed. A man, however is prohibited from having
intercourse with a girl younger than nine, other sexual act such as foreplay,
rubbing, kissing and sodomy is allowed. A man having intercourse with a
girl younger than nine years of age has not committed a crime, but only an
infraction, if the girl is not permanently damaged. If the girl, however, is
permanently damaged, the man must provide for her all her life. But this
girl will not count as one of the man’s four permanent wives. He also is
not permitted to marry the girl’s sister.”

    Our new reality:

    1. Eric Holder gets away with murder.
    2. Whatever your wealth is today, you’ll be lucky to hold onto it. It will never increase, no matter how clever you are, and no matter how hard you work.
    3. If you make people desperate enough and severely limit their choices, they will reward you. This is how drug dealers stay drug dealers.
    4. Bailouts are now a way of life. Even though the state of California has spent more money than it has, the Federal government (the other 49 states) WILL bail them out.
    5. Germany finally has some help with funding the European Union. (get ready for global wealth redistribution)
    6. The foreclosed homes all over American WILL be seized by the federal government and given to welfare recipients in a manner so as to take over the voting advantage in new areas.
    7. The middle class is dissolving into nothing.

The Butcher of Benghazi got reelected two months after he abandoned his diplomats to die in cold blood in the hands of Islamist Barbarians whom he cuddled! Imagine how the parents of the victims of Benghazi feel now to see their sons’ murderer -in-chief rewarded by the electorate with another term in office!

American people have reached a critical mass of stupidity! We were asleep at the switch when these frankfurt school critical theory pimps brainwashed 50+1% of the electorate and our children to eat the rich and think tyranny is cool and radical chic! And we were passive as Media became more and more blatantly partisan to the point that now they are practically picking our leaders for us!

It has reached a point when we cannot even know if our elections are real or not!Even if Obama managed to eke out this non-victory with busing people to vote 5 times or other forms of massive voter fraud we shall NEVER even know! Nobody is going to cover it even if there was evidence. The messenger will be shot in the media immediately even if a whistleblower come forward like in Benghazi and Fast and Furious cases. It has come to a point that we cannot even trust our own shadows. When we see what they do with obvious scandals like Fast and Furious or Benghazi which are open in the daylight for all to see no wonder we might become paranoid and not believe their polls or anything else and for all I care they might have even been false polls and this is a stolen election since it was so darn close. I am not saying it is but it very well may be! But since the Media lies to us so much we don’t even know what to believe anymore!

They have us blinded and sleeping in the dark not knowing what to do! We the people have no control over it anymore. I don’t blame the majority as being necessarily moochers and marxists, but the media keeps so many normal but inattentive citizens in the dark that tips the scales towards the genuine looters and moochers! God help us if we don’t get somehow rid of CNNs and MSNBCs of this world! We shall NEVER get another conservative leader again! If we could not defeat even this sorry excuse for a president in this economy with a good and competent candidate like Romney then we cannot do it with anyone else. Next will be Hillary or someone else!

It’s the America brought to us by the Dominant Liberal Establishment Mass Media (and John Roberts).

    Dominant Liberal Establishment.

Will it ever be torn down?

Fact is, had Obama been Bush he’d have been hung in the public square by the news media for just the suggestion that he messed up in Libya.

We have what some Libertarians said needed to happen. They keep saying “I can’t vote for the lesser of two evils anymore.” And regardless of how or why, it’s what we have. Who is Obama going to blame now? Obviously he’s got two targets left, white men and the house of representatives.

Liberals will finally get to see their Utopian ideals in full bore, hole drilling action (a high speed wind train that flies to the moon).

Goodbye middle class. Hello Obamacare: Old folks, the unborn and infirm and women will be the first to have choices taken away.

Welcome to the new normal. My prayers out to anyone who has to feed a family.

We’ll struggle right along with you, fellow American.

Is this Barry’s revenge or Teddy’s? The election of Barrack Obama and the changes that we see in the electorate epitomize Ted Kennedy’s immigration legacy. Decades long of illegal; immigration has final reduced America to a third world country. I so fitting that so many Hispanics voted for Obama since his tactics are similar to Chavez. Chavez gave tvs and houses to his voters while Obama gave free phones.

@lw You have got to be the most delusional commenter that I’ve seen! The only upswing will be that people will get used to not having anything and they wont notice it as much anymore!Even a communist liberal should be able to see that! And as far as obama,RFLMAO remotely resembling Reagan is psychotic thinking!

“#57, did you even go and read even a couple of points from those in maine defending marriage?”

Not sure what you’re talking about. To the extent anyone is “defending” marriage, it is the people who want to make it available to more people.

Many will fondly remember the USA as the finest example of of a collection of free, independent and largely self-reliant people which led the “free” world for many, many decades and set a shining example of the greatness that man could achieve in the arts, in science, in governance, in literature, in commerce, in leadership and in many other qualities essential to a prosperous, fulfilling, useful and harmonious existence for all mankind. Through ignorance, greed, sloth, deceit, lies and the basest instincts of man, spurred on by a vile, hate-filled, combative, disruptive socialist extremist ideology, all that was good and great in America was destroyed and, ultimately, killed. For those of us who knew the greatness of America, that greatness will live in our hearts and minds forever. For those who never knew or understood that greatness, civilized people will feel immense sorry for you.

America – may she Rest in Peace.

The country just became weaker last night. The cost of everything will get higher, gas $7.00- $8.00 dollars a gallon, bread $5.00-$6.00 dollars a loaf, unemployment will go up along with the deficet. And financial aid will go to all the countries that hate the U.S. And the Democrates will think they have won! But the one big difference is that in four years they will not beable to blame Bush and the Republicans when the country becomes lowered to the status of the third world. And for those of you that vote for one that say he stands for everyone, but lies about everything. The appeaser of all our enemies! Aleast have the back bone when all has failed and look yourself in the mirror and own it!!!

The “people” don’t understand basic economics. Finances are going to get harder for people, not easier. At some point people will be rioting in the streets like Greece because we ran out of money.

An ignominious end to a once great nation.

Bill O’Reilly, among others, spent the entire Republican Primary pushing for Romney while trashing every other candidate.

Could Santorum have pulled together a win in Pa or Ohio with clear values? Both of those states had more votes for McCain in 2008 than Romney in 2012.

Bill needs to accept that HIS failed strategy of ‘CHASING the independant vote’ IS the problem!

Candidates need CLARITY of message, not flexibility of beliefs.

Can ANYONE explain to me how Romney moved from ELIMINATING the federal department of education to a brand new federal job education program? The people in Iowa, where that debate was held, likely could not figure that one out either! Could this be the simple reason Romney lost Iowa?

President Barack Obama will never again have to face voters. Nothing he does will have to be calibrated for how it plays in swing states or with Independent voters. He is now governing solely for his own legacy. This is one reason I so opposed his reelection. Given his left-ward lunge in his first term, I shuddered to think where he would go in his second. An article today in Obama fan-zine Buzzfeed confirms my fears.

“I’m hopeful,” said Slama. “He’ll try to play to the middle, but he’s got the Tea Party to deal with, and he can take out his baseball bat and wail away and he won’t have to worry about the implications of reelection.”

With the election of progressive Elizabeth Warren in Massachusetts and Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin, Obama’s longtime backers feel the liberal spirit inside the president could be unleashed: climate change, gun control, and immigration reform perhaps heading to the top of the agenda. (After, that is, the “fiscal cliff.”)

So, now we’re going to get the “baseball bat”? The sentiment in this article rings completely true to me. On a hot mic, Obama was overheard asking Russian President Medvedev for “flexibility” until after the election. There was rampant speculation about what exactly Obama meant by the plea. We’re about to find out.

To those 50% of American voters who opted to reelection President Obama, I say thank you. We’re about to witness what a truly progressive Administration, unafraid of reelection, looks like. Perhaps the full display of that will shake Americans out of their obsessive worries about birth control and abortion.

The “moderate” era of Obama is over. The progressive era begins today. I pray we survive it. PICTURE

    What Have They Really Won?

A temporary reprieve, that’s what. I am reading a lot of doom and gloom in the posts and comments on American Thinker this morning. Yes, yes I know — four more years of Obama. That does stink. But, has Obama really won anything permanent? I would argue that he has not. Let me go into some of the reasons why. I will address the obvious worries of my fellow American Thinker readers one-by-one.

Obama will turn the US into an entitlement state

The U.S. was an entitlement state long before Obama. He only accelerated the process. However, in doing so, he also accelerated the pace of cities and municipalities acknowledging the budget shortfalls they had been hiding for decades. Now they are falling like dominoes and he is powerless to stop it. He is also powerless to stop governors like Scott Walker from enacting reforms that bring real prosperity. The media will not be able to hide this forever. It is too close to home or coming soon to a city near you.

The Democrats will have a permanent majority

Sure, they will. Some of us seem to have forgotten the wave of correction in November of 2010. Think of the disgust after four more years of unwillingness to get government out of the way of the private sector and blaming Bush for businesses sitting on their cash. The Democrats will have to move forward after Obama and that will be a tough sell after nearly a decade of stagnation.

They will take away our guns

Yeah, right. You know how we conservatives lament the fact that progressives have spent the past century infiltrating every area of public life? Well, conservatives have spent the past two centuries collecting firearms for maintaining the peace and for nonviolent sport. The number of privately-owned firearms is so large that the state and federal governments could never hope to confiscate them all. And who would carry out the confiscations anyway? Police? How many anti-gun officers do you know? Their heart would not be in it and the whole program would devolve into a token effort.

They will replace conservative Supreme Court justices with liberal activists

This probably will not happen in the next four years but even if it does, is that really all that important? They have already had their major victory when the court upheld ObamaCare. How many earth-shattering cases like that even make it to the Supreme Court? And, I would venture a guess that Ruth Bader Ginsburg will be the next judge to need a backfill.

ObamaCare will fundamentally change the country

Maybe at first, but Americans are already finding ways around it. The M.D. VIP program offers individuals unfettered access to a network of doctors with limited numbers of patients for around $1500/year. That is certainly less than the cost of ObamaCare. I believe we will see a bifurcated healthcare system that still offers choice, because the best doctors prefer to work in programs like M.D. VIP. And the states that refuse to implement the ObamaCare Medicaid provisions will be where the businesses go. The intransigent states like California, Illinois, and New York will continue to bleed companies and middle-class voters, leaving only the very rich and people who are addicted to entitlements. Ultimately, the law will be chipped away or ignored because it is poorly written.

The media and universities are indoctrinating our children

What makes you think either institution is doing well? The legacy media outlets (NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, and Washington Post) are corporations with bottom lines. They can no longer ignore falling profits, nor can they make excuses for them. They are not selling what the people want… period.

The universities are also facing a reckoning. Their inability to prepare students for jobs has even some liberal parents rattled. Only the most extreme kool aid drinkers would want to spend their life savings on an education that leaves their kid jobless and destitute. When I see Harvard having to offer online courses, to the inevitable chagrin of overly-comfortable faculty members, I know the market is a serious threat to the liberal professor orthodoxy.

The law profession is still dominated by liberals

It is, but even that is becoming less attractive. Walter Russell Mead (referencing WSJ) has already blogged about this. The title of Mead’s blog entry says it all – “Lawyers Get Kicked Back to Coach.” Need I say more?

Obama will entangle the US in punishing United Nations treaties

Oh please. How many times have leaders like Vladimir Putin refused to abide by treaties? The UN never does anything about it. Those agreements will become scraps of paper like most of what the UN produces.

So mourn Romney’s loss today, but tomorrow pick yourselves up, dust yourselves off, and carry on. Do what conservatives always do — work hard and thank God for our great nation, which will see better days. Let the other side thank government… as far as that goes. They will be the ones mourning soon enough.

Whining racist complainers…. all of you. God Bless America

  • Nique501

The comments of people on here is pretty sick! I voted for Obama and I don’t want stuff. To say that everyone who voted for Obama wants stuff is prejudice, racist, and sexist. Yes there are some who want stuff but not all. I can say that some whites are racists but does that mean that all are?

No, I do not believe 100% in welfare. I feel that welfare is a clutch to SOME people. But there are a lot of people who are struggling right now and need welfare. These people are looking for a job daily and can’t find it. These are the people who should get welfare. The elderly are the people. But to say African Americans, Hispanics and women want stuff?! That’s sad!

  • Mrs. Why are you mad.

I am so happy that this is a blog! It is so good to get your fustrations out. Because while you sit behind your keyboard downgrading, insulting and belittling my President! Guess what? He is still the president. Hopefully the rest of these republicans can get on board and make the next four years run smoothly until they get ready for the next clown that’s ready to try to take over the world surfaces. And guess what Bills comment will ring true again. It is most certain it’s not a “Traditional America” because no more will you try to tell the real working people what they think and how to think it! We are going to keep voting and making our political, religious and social decisions heard. And I guess if you don’t like it. You can always move. I heard it’s nice in Africa!
