TEXAS Tells UN Poll Watchers: Don’t Even Try It

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott wrote the United Nations to tell them, “Groups and individuals from outside the United States are not allowed to influence or interfere with the election process in Texas.”
GOP-USA reported:

The Daily Caller reports that Texas is balking at the idea of U.N. involvement. In a letter sent by Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, the AG warns that U.N. poll watchers “do not have jurisdiction in the state and will, therefore, be criminally prosecuted if they attempt to interfere at Texas polling locations on Nov. 6.”

The letter, addressed to Ambassador Daan Everts, came in response to the announcement that the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe will deploy scores of election monitors to the U.S. in an effort to monitor conservative groups for voter suppression or intimidation.

“Groups and individuals from outside the United States are not allowed to influence or interfere with the election process in Texas,” wrote Abbot. “This State has robust election laws that were carefully crafted to protect the integrity of our election system.

BTW. .want to see the real UNITED NATIONS. .
It is NOT the faux body of dictators and elites on Manhattan East Side
who wine & Dine at the height of luxury
While most of their citizens starve or live in misery.

The REAL United Nations is the former United States
where immigrants from all over came
    And joined together
    Despite Race, Creed, culture
    to Be ONE UNITED Country
    A true melting pot.

I say former because under OBAMA we are divided into different groups
by race, creed, language, sexual preference, culture, etc. . .

    Need to RESTORE & RENEW
    One Election at a Times
    And Bring BACK that
    One Nation, Under God
With Liberty & Justice for all

UPDATE: Moran’s Son Resigns After Caught on Tape

Citizen journalist James O’Keefe has been relentless in recent weeks exposing widespread apathy by campaign officials across the country. His first video in the current series featured an undercover investigative journalist receiving help from a DNC staffer at an Obama for America field office to double-vote which is a felony. That staffer has since been fired and the Houston OFA office has been closed.

O’Keefe’s second video features the story of a Minnesota woman who is currently registered to vote in two states despite attempts to be removed from the Florida rolls. It also exposes total apathy from the Hopkins, MN OFA field office staff when confronted with the idea of voting twice.

O’Keefe’s videos demonstrate the culture of cheating and the “win at all costs” mentality of many operatives in several states including Texas, Minnesota, New York and others.

We don’t need UN we are doing fine on our own. Leave us alone.

Rather interesting that with direct and verifiable documentation that Dems are actively trying to steal the election the UN declaims they are “observing” to prevent conservative groups from influencing the vote. Could there be more clear evidence that there are groups, the UN tops the list I say, actively trying to destroy the US?

    Hey UN, UP YOURS!

  • The principle reason that I find the whole notion of OSCE invigilation of a U.S. election fundamentally offensive is because with the sole exception of Great Britain, compared to the U.S. every single European state is a Johnnie-come-lately on the democratic and constitutional scene.

France has switched back and forth between monarchy and republicanism half a dozen times over the past two centuries; Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey have enjoyed the thrills of military dictatorship as recently as a few decades ago; the Balkans have been a cesspool of civil war and attempted genocide for the past 20 years; and everything east of the Rhine was part of Soviet happy-happy-funtime until the U.S. – not Europe – saw off communism. And in the last century alone, Germany gave us everything from Bismarck to Hitler, and a whole new dictionary definition of what “crime against humanity” means.

None of these self-important fools has any right to dictate to America how to run a fair, free and democratic election. Let’s see a single one of them get through a century without sprouting a fascist or communist dictatorship or lighting the fuse on a world war; maybe then we’ll listen to what they have to say.

  • Amjean

Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Monitoring conservative groups? One thing I have to say
about the leftie opposition, they have guts. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever

  • thomass

So let me get this straight UN. At the request of at least one corrupt organisation you’d like to come in to look for voter intimidation on the basis of highly misleading and pretty much modern day stalinist propaganda from one political group (the left) arguing that attempting to verify the integrity of our voter roles is associated with said voter intimidation (war is peace, blaw blaw blaw)… ok; and you want us to waive our rules created to prevent actual voter intimidation and or your complaining that your being reminded of the law? Really? When your obviously looking like your a partisan group?

Anyway, could be interesting legally. Have we signed (and congress / the president approved) and treaty saying they could do this? A: I doubt it but B: if we did; how does that play out in the States since it may violate our Constitution (since the action was approved by the courts and interference with that now could be seen as a crime itself under our law)…

  • Obama be movin’ on down

Lets revisit the US’s participation in the UN. Lets just ask the people, stay or get out?

  • valerie

This is hilarious. We have a Democratic Senator’s son on tape talking about how to commit voting fraud, so the UN thinks they are going to come over here to monitor “conservatives.”

    Cluess bunch of numbnuts.

  • thomass

Anyway, the left has been parroting this ‘id check is voter intimidation’ meme with no push back (outside of our complaining to each other) for a long time. A story like this could be a good one to mainstream the debate. Several important issues are at stake including our giving away our rights to UN bit by bit and how partisan to certain groups the UN is.

There’s just something about the Southwest that makes us proud. The Arizona Gov wags her fingers in MrObama’s face and Texas tells the UN, go ahead, make their day.

  • Yngvar

We have those OSCE observers milling around here in Norway during elections. They issue statements but they’re not otherwise interfering or anything. It really is just a program to educate/train election organizers in the new democracies in eastern-Europe on how its done. They are from Moldova or Romania and countries as such, and needs to be shown the real deal.

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

I live in the wrong state.

  • kato

You know the UN will be sending shiny-faced sub-Saharan subprimers for media effect.

  • owl

While some flap their jaws, Texas has coped with the longest border. Our state has absorbed what many just yak about. We let you borrow a very good Gov for president for 8 years and some still can’t tell the difference between the truth of that tale and what the media shaped.

What in this world makes you think that one day or one issue is being treated differently now than what it was for that 8 years? Look at what is exposed daily now that our side has grown. A fact or an issue you think you understand, just might not be all to that story or it could be that they forgot to include an entire paragraph like Romney’s GM article.

I am not at all surprised that our AG told them to stick it up theirs, or do not be caught within that last 100 ft.

Nothing we would like better than to catch us one of those UN creatures. You would see a fight to the death to get on that jury.

  • Stella Baskomb

The U.S. is, mistakenly, unwilling to recognize the plain fact that UN is our enemy.

It wasn’t always so. Until about 1960, the UN consisted of about 60 nations who were eager to work with the US. Since then the number of UN member nations has tripled to more than 190; and most of the newer “states” are inimical to the US. These newer states now form the majority of member nations. Thus within the so-called “democracy” of the UN General Assembly – in which every tinpot tyrant and dictator has one vote, same as US – the consensus of UN opinion is almost always decidedly anti-American.

Nations which are otherwise our allies – UK, for example, Australia, Canada, Israel, Italy, Spain, Japan, others – are in much the same predicament as US. All fear these tinpot nations will hiss and boo if any should withdraw. But why should anyone fear what they think?

IMO we (and our allies, too) should concede the UN to the tinpot nations, form s new and separate alliance, and withdraw entirely from the UN: our membership – AND our dollars.

Let the oil sheiks support this malignant monstrosity of human malice, the UN.

Okay, Texans. What are you hiding and what are you afraid of? It is more than legal for the UN to make sure you people don’t attempt an election fraud. To say you don’t want them here is the same as you admitting that you are going to commit fraud and you don’t want caught.

And by the way most of you are outright threatening to attack and kill others, the UN and other US citizens, if they try and stop your criminal activity proves that the UN is most certainly needed here.

  • I am a lifelong Texan. I have no use for the UN, and when the Federal government gets all up in our face about something, I have no use for them, either. Greg Abbott should be Governor of this great state, because he doesn’t back down from a fight. Rick Perry, on the other hand, is a former Democrat who hasn’t left all of his bad habits behind and is trying to backdoor the Trans Texas Corridor project so his cronies in Spain can reap all the rewards. If Greg Abbott were to run for Governor, I’d vote in a heartbeat. If he doesn’t, I’ll start a “Draft Greg” movement. This man is my hero. I bet Chuck Norris wears Greg Abbott pajamas.

  • @Tommy Waters: Perhaps you need a more fundamental understanding of how American law works. The UN has no jurisdiction here. We are not subject to any UN “laws.” There are no election treaties in place. Again: THEY HAVE NO JURISDICTION HERE. They can and will be arrested if they try and interfere in an American election. Texas election law prohibits this kind of monkey business. What state are you from? Bet you’re just dyin’ to have that baby-blue UN flag flying over your home, huh? If you like ’em so much, then leave the US. We have no need for the likes of you.
