After digging through all of the footage from the debate last week the Obama Campaign decided that the best line of attack was…
Big Bird.

    This ad is hilarious and actually comes across as a Romney ad (in a parody sort of way). It makes it look like Romney will take on ALL those other problems with Big Bird along for the ride. If this is all they’ve got after the news coming out about security requests at our embassy, illegal foreign campaign contributions and 16 trillion dollar debt (and Romney’s awesome foreign policy speech yesterday punctuated by the military poll results favoring Romney 2:1) then I’d say we’ve got them poleaxed.

    I would actually donate to Obama IF they would specifically use my donation to run this ad. This is as about as childish as it gets.

    When PBS was first subsidized it was at a time when there was only over the air TV and the survival of “educational TV” could probably have not survived. In today’s time there are several networks on cable that are dedicated to a young audience.

    With the advent of digital TV side channels have allowed PBS to broadcast channels that show children programs while simultaneously showing programs geared to adult audiences.

    Sesame Street is a financial juggernaut.

    If anyone has seen PBS lately you will see a change. The sponsors, which in the past were mentioned as a sponsor now are allowed to also give a description of the business that seems to be a commercial to me.

    So PBS, here is your course to get off the government teet. Use the money you make off of Sesame Street merchandising to produce Sesame Street. Sell commercial time slots on PBS just all the other networks do.

    The best R & R response? “Americans, ARE you children — all of you? You KNOW what’s out there, what looms down the road (if not, Mr. Ryan will be glad to spell it out for you mathematically). You SEE the rapids….. ARE you children? Did your forefathers die by the thousands at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Belleau Wood, Normandy, Chosin, Khe Sahn, Fallujah…. for your right to live Sesame Street from cradle to grave? Is THAT who you are? Really?

    If so, well you know who to vote for now, don’t you. But if you are free MEN, and free WOMEN…… ADULTS….. if you think maybe these are serious times requiring serious leadership….. we offer you that. Vote accordingly.
