Pakistani Man Acquitted of Blasphemy Charges… Then Shot Dead in His Shop

A Pakistani man was acquitted of blasphemy charges last month in Punjab Province.
On Friday he was shot dead in his shop.
Hindustan Times reported, via Religion of Peace:
A Pakistani man who was acquitted of a blasphemy charge has been shot dead by two men in Punjab province, police officials said on Saturday.
Sajjad Hussain, a resident of Khan Muslim village in Gujranwala district, 80 km from Lahore, was gunned down on Friday. He had been
arrested in February 2011 after Sath Sanaullah, a resident of his neighbourhood, accused him of committing blasphemy against Prophet Mohammed during a private conversation.Hussain was booked under section 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code, the harsh blasphemy law.
A district and sessions court acquitted him last month for lack of evidence.
On Friday, Hussain was at his shop when two armed men came and fired at him. He was killed instantly. The two gunmen later surrendered to police.

Again, President Obama’s initial statements following the Benghazi attack are much less important than the positions he and his administration took during the following weeks; both together are less important than why and how President Obama failed during the weeks and months preceding the Benghazi attack. He can try to place the blame on others, but cannot be permitted to do so. Those failures are “not optimal” for him politically and should be unerasable black marks on his presidency. Far worse, however, four American “bumps in the road” are now dead because of his incompetence and/or inattention; no conceivable “not optimal” consequences for President Obama’s reelection or legacy can rise to that level of importance, except perhaps to him.
President Obama failed to become — and remain — situationally aware of the explosive nature of the Middle East in general and Libya in particular. In consequence, his Administration failed to “harden” the Benghazi outpost. The problems go far beyond that, however. His failure (or inability) aggressively to assert the interests of the United States, his continued reluctance to take effective steps to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power, his at best wishy-washy approach to the survival of our only free and democratic ally in the region, Israel, his evident preference for the perks of his office rather than for the hard work it entails and his incessant fund raising and campaigning for reelection all demonstrate that President Obama is unfit to be the President of the United States.

Jewish Professor ‘Murdered by Arabs’ in Ukraine University
A Jewish professor on the faculty of the university in Lviv, Ukraine, whose last name is Freifeld, was murdered by three Arab students, Arutz Sheva has learned.
According to initial details, the three students had failed in their studies and sought revenge for their dismissal from the university. They decided to murder their Jewish professor.
These details have not been confirmed by other sources.
Freifeld’s brother, Dr. Vadim Freifeld, who teaches at Ben Gurion University, received the news Friday and got on a plane to Ukraine. He informed his colleagues of the murder before boarding the flight.
The number of Jews in Lviv is estimated at 2,000, out of a total population of about 850,000.

As I read it, he’s showing the idiocy of Muslims’ belief that (ephemeral) words count for more than (actual, concrete) behavior.
And that words-take-precedence thing is where Liberalism/ Progressivism dovetails SO NICELY with Islam.
