Kirstin Powers on Women Voters: “Actually We’re More Than Our Vaginas” (Video)

Kirstin Powers weighed in on the debate question last night that pandered to women voters. Powers told Megyn Kelly on America Live, “Actually we’re more than our vaginas, believe it or not.”

You know what takes away women’s choice? Obamacare. Mammograms and Pap Smears are only level C & D tests, which means that they will be lower priority than level A & B tests. And if you’re turned down? There’s nowhere to go. I can’t just decide, “Forget you (big insurance company), I’m going to pay for my own test” because there won’t be anywhere else to go.

And birth control – if it were truly cost effective for insurance companies, why aren’t policies that cover it cheaper than policies that don’t. I’d rather have a job that pays 30,40 50K +, and pay for my own personal needs, than no job but $120 in annual birth control.

While I’m ranting, what’s with all the misogynistic jokes on “women in binders”. Seriously, I thought we were past objectifying women. (I’m not really a spoil sport – but the Dems need to look at how they’re objectifying women… you know, hold them to their own standards and all).

  • Bill Mitchell

IBD/TIPP has it Obama +2 today. Unfortunately for them, they are using a Dem + 7 sample which is pretty much impossible. They are only going to embarrass themselves.

Notice the only 3 polls showing Obama leading are using Dem oversamples:

    WAPO – Dem + 9
    IBD – Dem + 7
    Battleground – Dem +4

Turns out Barack Obama is not so good on equal pay for equal work for women. A bit of post debate fact checking not panning out for Obama.

When polls are showing that Obama is further behind than ever today, I get why “the binders” are getting so much traction today. What else is their left for the liberals?

They make fun of the “binders” (that were compendiums of highly qualified women candidates for prestigious roles), and want them to shut up and take their birth control pills. This is exactly why I, as a woman could never be a liberal. I’m just a walking reproductive organ, or a useful tool for when the men screw up. See the line-up of “fall guys” for president pass-the-buck? ALL WOMEN.

    #11 watch tv much?

Why? You gonna bring me a sammich? :-)

  • journeyman

Not according to Sandra Fluke (rhymes with.)

  • Charlie

Thank goodness someone has finally said it! I have been saying that for the last 4 years… well I say we are much more than just a uterus, but close. It is insulting to push the idea all we are only worried about our reproductive organs and free birth control, it’s insane and demeaning.

  • Charlie

Guess I should say, I’m glad someone has finally said it on national TV! :)

Only a feminist and Leftist would consider such an idea (women being more than the sum of their body parts) as being something radical. While many people look to the stars and are awestruck, the average Prog looks in the gutter and swoons.

“I don’t believe that bureaucrats in Washington should tell someone whether they can use contraceptives or not. And I don’t believe employers should tell someone whether they could have contraceptive care of not. Every woman in America should have access to contraceptives.” – Mitt Romney

“Every woman in america should have access to contraceptives.’

That means the poor women too right?

  • KornKing

Have to hand it to the lapdogs, for what, 20 years now, how a candidiate stands on “women’s issues” has meant “do you support full abortion on demand”
Talk about not having respect for women

    Democratic Disinformation from Charlotte

[Two advocates of equal-pay legislation said women make 77 cents for every dollar men earn. That’s true on average, but the gap for women doing the same work as men is much less, and not entirely or even mostly the result of job discrimination.]

Romney talks about jobs for women (binders full of women); Obama talks about birth control and abortion.

Birth control as election issue? Why?

[“We need to take sensationalism out of this topic so that it can
no longer be used by militants who have no real knowledge of
the voluntary nature of the program but, rather, are using it as
a political stepping stone,” said George H.W. Bush. “If family
planning is anything, it is a public health matter.”

Title X, the law he sponsored that still funds family planning for
the poor, passed the House by a vote of 298 to 32. It passed
the Senate unanimously. A Republican president, Richard
    Nixon, enthusiastically signed it.

    That was 1970.]

    disclaimer: just a sample..

    Google for much more info..

damn, why can’t Prog-Dem-Libs get their history straight!!

If I had to guess. I would guess Kirsten Powers, a true Liberal Democrat…is gonna vote for Romney when she steps into the booth.. The last couple Months seem like she has opened her Eyes and Mind to the mess and failure that is one each Barack Obama.

Kirstin must have been thinking about the old joke “Q: What’s the definition of woman? A: Life support system for a vagina.”

Lord I apologize and all that. I loves and respects the ladies.

Just in case somebody missed it, Kirsten Powers is referring to this insulting failure of an ad by the Obama Campaign.

    http://twitchy.com/2012/10/02/for-shame-women-obama-literally-reduced-you-to-sum-of-your-ladyparts-vote-like-lady-parts-depend-on-it/

Can we say it now? Can we say that the portion of the Democratic Party that supports Barack Obama is stuffed with racists and male chauvinist pigs? Between this ad and that perverted “binders of women” [email protected], I begin to get the idea that the remnant of the Democratic Party at the national level both hates women and has lost its collective mind.

  • get back to work

    #29 you would be incorrect.

  • Daisy

Actually I’m a little surprised that “binders of women” hasn’t gone blue yet. ala “Shades of Grey”.

  • bobbymike

I am liking Ms. Powers more and more. Time for Fox to give her a weekend foreign policy themed show.

  • Mahdi Al-Dajjal

This is nothing! Dem-polsters are showing Obama wining 56 of the 57 states in a land slide.

  • moriah

Frankly, no-one cares about her vagina. Crass , base conversation would probably cease forever if it weren’t for foul mouthed Liberals that keep dragging the national conversation through the gutter.

I’m a full-time working mom who was lucky enough to stay home with my kids for thirteen years. I haven’t been in the workplace, but when I got my job, I never felt any different than any man in my same position. It’s absolute fantasy. All I will say is, “Leave my ovaries out of it.”

  • RedStateGal

Hey, Get Back to Work: NO ONE is saying Planned Parenthood shouldn’t receive funding to provide free birth control to poor women. We are saying 1) No tax payer funded abortions 2) Companies should not be forced to pay for contraceptives for their employees when that coverage goes against the owner’s religious beliefs.

Nice Straw Man argument, though. Did you take an online tutorial to learn that method? Or just watch a million Obama speeches?

  • AGrimm

Saw this with my bride of 40+ years and it was fun. We laughed, we cheered. Three bright, intelligent women absolutely excoriated the Obama war-on-women theme with cutting mockery and logical arguements yet keeping it light and humorous. This segment of the show needs to get to every woman in the country.

However, I had to ask my bride about Meghan’s Wal-Mart reference, and upon explanation concluded that Meghan needs to get out more (don’t take me wrong, I hold her in high esteem). : )
