Conservative Todd Akin released the ad “Selling Us Out” slamming liberal Claire McCaskill for her $20 million Stimulus gift to her husband’s businesses.
The ad is Akin’s harshest attack at yet.
The Politico reported:
GOP Rep. Todd Akin is airing his harshest TV ad yet against Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, accusing her of allowing her husband to transact personal business in the Senate and profiting off her office.
The commercial rests on statements made by a former employee of Joseph Shepard, McCaskill’s husband. That ex-employee told the Daily Caller that Shepard entertained investors in the Senate dining room; McCaskill’s campaign has denied that accusation and pointed out that the accuser, Craig Woods, has a criminal record and acknowledged he never personally saw Shepard engaged in the acts he describes.
“It’s been revealed: Claire McCaskill’s husband was caught cutting business deals in the Senate dining room, selling tax credits tied to Obama’s stimulus money,” says Akin’s new ad, which was produced by the Ohio-based Strategy Group for Media.
The commercial accuses McCaskill of “arrogance and corruption,” showing an image of a jet on the screen and reminding viewers that McCaskill failed to pay taxes on a private plane for several years.

Very good, Alinsky tactic, character assasination. Except ours are true and provable.
This is how you win, use your opponents tactics. The prize is America.
Defeat the enemy from within any means possible.

Good ad. I hope the voters are paying attention. This time around, I believe economic issues will trump social issues.
I still find it hard to believe that if Mitt is up by 13 in MO, that enough voters will split their ticket to keep McCaskill in office. That just seems implausible.

This is an effective ad. I rarely watch the local stations so I haven’t seen many ads for McCaskill or Akin but I do like this ad.

Clair’s defense of the dining for dollar deal is that the Wistle blower inside her husband’s company , Mr Woods, is a twice convicted felon…..so his accusation has no credibility !
See how they operate…These corrupt politicians recruit convicted felons to serve as chief financial officers on purpose. Corrupt politicians are attracted to hiring morally bankrupt people thinking they will comply with corrupt schemes . They also calculate having felons on staff provides greater control over employees to compel silence and cooperation in illegal activities as there is great power in the fear of returning a felon to prison……….. Felons also make the perfect fall guy scape goats for when unethical deals get BUSTED.
The side issue is why is Clair’s husband hiring TWICE conviced felons to be chief financial officers of his company operating on YOUR tax dollars ?

If gutless Republican leadership had stayed with Akin, he would be winning this thing!! He may still win it anyway!
When the hell will we remove liberal, cowardly Republicans from congress and leadership positions??!!

I do not like or respect Akin, but will gladly vote for him if it gets rid of the criminal Claire and her husband. She should never have been elected in the first place. Talent ran a poor campaign. He would have been such a great Senator.
Look-Out commented:
Glad he’s informing/reminding the voters of this but wish he’d at least VISUALLY added the amount her husband benefitted. $20 million is no small potatoes.
Also, not sure I liked seeing Akin’s face at the beginning (not the most flattering pic) and hope some viewers won’t link him to the deals/plane rather than Claire. If they’re even thinking of voting for her at this point, you gotta wonder how easily they can get things wrong.

I hope so, his rape comments were blown out of proportion. Why isn’t Obama criticised for supporting partial birth abortion? That’s murder.

If Akin does NOT win we have The Establishment, the rinos & Gov Palin (she wants a 3rd party in MO) to blame

I wonder if Karl Rove and Sen. John(let’s do everything we can to keep LISA MURKOWSKI) Cornyn ,had’t pulled their financial support, that MO. would already be a Repub pick-up Pam

THis ad is pretty desperate. The person never saw it happened, and it is not even considered hear say.
