We’re seeing a remarkable collapse that will be mentioned for decades. The first tough campaign of his life (sans the leaked marraige records that teed up the non candiate in his senate race, and the market collapse that allowed him to skate past McCain), and he’s been revealed as a complete incompetent. He sounds like a guy campaigning for class president.

War on Women Backfires

One of the intriguing aspects of this election is how the Democrats’ shameless and clueless appeal to women is ending with the vaporization of the historic “gender gap” among voters.

Finally, there’s the blatant hypocrisy of the charge coming from a White House which does not offer equal pay to its women employees and, aside from Valerie Jarrett, has no high-level women staffers. White House megaphones like MSNBC, which pays its women employees half what they pay the males are no better.

(Of course, honesty compels me to say that anything paid to MSNBC personalities seems akin to a charitable contribution designed to keep these nutters off the streets with begging bowls.)

Decades ago (I think during the short-term run of Ted Kennedy for president) NPR interviewed me on the role of women in politics. It was no secret that Kennedy had no high-level female staffers and treated women horribly, and yet women were flocking to volunteer for him. I said they were nuts to do so.

As long as campaigns could count on the support and free labor of women, they would not see why they had to pay for it or treat them as necessary hires. They would always be “the girls.” I still feel that way. While I appreciate that campaigns cannot run without countless volunteers, it might not be a bad idea for women to work only for candidates respectful of women and their abilities. I suggest it’s in our interest to send in a contribution if we can afford to. If it’s a big enough check, the candidate might actually listen to what you have to say. But if you want to do volunteer work, for heaven’s sake don’t do it for a candidate who’s made clear he doesn’t think much of women.

In any event, ignore the claim Obama makes to be more concerned for your welfare than Republicans are. Supporting him on that false basis is just thinking with your lady parts.

It’s certainly unsurprising to see the progressive reaction to the woman-as-mind ideology of the right. Its non-vagina symbols (e.g. Palin) are re-signified by the left’s spokespersons; “hate-rape” is sought to reinscribe and impose the vaginal-uterine condition and require subordination of these independent women to the progressive perspective.

[He has gone to great lengths to sabotage the integrity of our military
even as far as making homosexuality in the military the equivalent of bars
on shoulders. He has used our military academies as back drops to boast
himself as a tin leader. He has alerted the media so they could be present
to afford him photo-ops as the bodies of our brave warriors are off-loaded
from military transports. He has accused our military of heinous acts. His
surrogates have placed the interests of terrorists above the interest and

scenes to deny our military the ability to vote by not mailing ballots in time

Too much talk of “enemies”, “fighting”, “rising up”, and other violent imagery and too obvious of an attempt to create a bizarrely dystopian predication of “the other side” putting black people in chains, reducing women to chattel, and exterminating gays. This is another thing that Democrats do when they are desperate that they don’t feel the need to do when they know they are winning. The more they repeat lies about Republicans wanting “to go backwards to the time of segregation” or “to control women’s vaginas” or “to put gays in concentration camps” and these other bizarre things that are said to control the various Democrat identity-blocs, the more you know that Democrats are desperate to mobilize their base. Think of this as a war zone the way the Democrats want to frame this election, in violent battle terms. Obama and his high command are in a bunker in Baghdad. The Tigris and Euphrates have been captured. American forces are mobilized throughout the city and closing in on the last of the presidential defenses. The bubble of comfort and delusion that these people could actually still win is shrinking smaller every day, so more effort has to be made to make sure the most loyal of the troops stay loyal and pumped up to fight. The way to rev blacks up is to lie to them about Republicans wanting to make them slaves. The way to control women is to reduce them to talking vaginas, and then tell them to shut up and just vote Democrat. Getting gays to the polls is as easy as spreading lies about how Republicans (and Ronald Reagan specifically) wanted to round homosexuals up and put them into death camps. A lot of what Democrats said at the Convention was in code, so you have to understand the mindset of the various identity blocs, but every black, female, and gay speaker who went to the podium gave speeches that were specifically designed to pump up the hatred in these groups for “the other side”. This was Obama’s and the Democrats’ last stand, pulling out the stops on their most loyal loyalists.
