Despite Best Efforts By Obama-Media – Mitt Romney Takes Lead in Latest Polling

Despite the best efforts by the Obama-mania media to distract from real issues and cover up Obama’s disastrous record, Mitt Romney took the lead today in the latest polling. Mitt leads Barack Obama 49-47 in Rasmussen’s daily tracking.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 49% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 47%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate, and two percent (2%) are undecided.
These results are based upon nightly interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, only about two-thirds of the interviews for today’s update were conducted after the presidential debate. Sunday morning’s update will be the first national polling based entirely upon post-debate interviews.
It’s even worse than that for Democrats.
Romney now leads in Virginia, Ohio and Florida.

Even better news for Romney. Gallup “should” be going to a likely vote model as of today. This along with the debate bounce could show a HUGE move to Romney. Remember of course that Gallup is a 7 day moving average poll so changes should be slow to arrive.
And also, it IS Gallup, 20th most accurate pollster in 2008.

Romney needs to do it again. Obama will try any trick in the book, crooked.
Pray for God to help the momentum going. I believe in Romney but I do believe in pray more. We need a wonderful change in America. We need this nation to come back stronger than ever. We are going through some hard times and we need experience not someone who talks about it and has nothing to show for it. Romney has the experience in Business and understand that in business you have not just a plan but a sensible and successful plan. Can you only imagine the good things to come and we need too pray harder, support more, do our part to see to it that Romney and Ann walk into the doors of our White House to stay for the next four years or longer. I am hopeful we can do this. Not matter what the left may have in store, Romney has character and means what he says.

The day after the debate a friend started spewing the Dem’s latest talking points, i.e. “Romney LIED for the entire 90 minutes” she said! So I asked her to name one lie. She eventually came up with (I’m not kidding here): Obamacare was modeled after Romneycare, and now he wants to repeal Obamacare, therefore he’s a “defacto liar”!
No wonder Romney’s poll numbers are starting to improve.

The problem I have is that Obama’s approval at Rasmussen always seems to be around 49-50%. It’s at odds with everything else going on.
It might be a reflection of the media’s ODS (Obama Defense Syndrome).
Obama’s ignorance on economic issues left him vulnerable in the first debate. In the second debate Libya will be hung around his neck like a farewell Lei. Round 2 to Romney.

Good fathering is the story of Mitt Romney’s life. He has five sons who are, by all accounts, devoted to him and vice-versa. These boys grew up with a father who, although wealthy and successful, worked like a demon, doted on them, and apparently devoted an extraordinary amount of time to charitable work, in which he also involved them. Almost the polar opposite, Barack Obama’s father abandoned him twice and then ended up an irresponsible drunken victim of multiple car crashes. This sad behavior precipitated a search by Obama that brought him in contact with several father surrogates, notably Frank Marshall Davis and Jeremiah Wright, that it would be hard to brand as anywhere near satisfactory. (Davis was a pornographer and about Wright the less said the better.) No Mitt Romneys there.
If you think this is lost on Barack Obama when he stands opposite Romney, then you think the president is stupid, which he is obviously not. But it’s worse for him yet, because he is standing opposite a father who has worked harder, has more experience, and is more knowledgeable and charitable than he and he, on some level at least, must know it.
Not only that, most of what Mitt Romney has done, including graduating simultaneously from Harvard Law and Harvard Business, is an open book, while almost everything about Obama remains purposefully hidden. (He knows this too, obviously.) Obama lives in fear of exposure – and thus in fear of Romney who, although rich, is much more the self-made man of the two, the ultimate father figure.[..............................]

Obama’s much vaunted intelligence is in reality nothing but smoke and mirrors.
As nearly everyone has noted lately, Obama’s grasp on facts is being revealed as tenuous at best and embarrassing at worst, as evidenced by his recent gaffe about his uncle having ‘liberated’ Auschwitz when in fact NO American soldier did anything of the kind (in fact – as the quickest glance at a history book will tell you, no American soldier ever set foot in Poland where Auschwitz is located). It’s not just because this type of typical ‘political’ mistake is what Obama has sworn he’s not – i.e., a typical politician – more to the point, this silly mistake reveals Obama’s ignorance of the bare minimum of historical fact. And such ignorance shakes the very foundation of Obama’s chief qualification for being President – i.e., Obama’s vaunted intelligence. Since everyone acknowledges he lacks experience for the job, the only reason left to support Obama’s claim to the position is because of his intelligence.
Constant references have been given as to Obama’s near-mythical intelligence – and over and over again, every one claims that the ‘proof’ of that intelligence is the fact that Obama was President of the Harvard Law Review. And that is a staggering achievement. Only the best and the brightest achieve that – only a student at the top of the grade scale, only a student of outstanding writing skills and superb legal acumen is accorded that honor. It is such a high honor that this accomplishment follows that student through to the rest of his life – it is mentioned in his vitae, his honors, indeed in his very obituary as the incontestable proof of his intelligence. Therefore, it is understandable that all doubts of Obama’s intelligence are instantly assuaged by revealing he was President of the Harvard Law Review. [..................]

California Struggles With High Gas Prices
High gasoline prices have frequently been a political issue, but President Obama may get a break this year because several swing states like Florida, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina, Nevada and New Hampshire have gasoline prices that are relatively low compared with the national average.
On Friday, in central Los Angeles, motorists expressed a combination of frustration, resignation and anger.
“I’m not happy about it,” said Michael Eisenhower, 52, a television costume designer, as he stared at the digits rising to nearly $40 to fill up his sport utility vehicle. He stopped short of topping off as he complained that his wages were not rising as fast as the price of gas.
“I’ve been putting in a reasonable amount of gas, enough for two days or so,” he said. “It’s my way of budgeting what I have to work with each week.”
