Just a day after President Barack Obama insisted that green grants were given out by Department of Energy and weren’t political, leaked emails prove White House cronyism.
Kelly Maher at Revealing Politics reported:

Complete Colorado reported:

Recent remarks by President Obama to a Denver-based TV anchor stand in stark contrast to new emails obtained by CompleteColorado.com.

This past Friday, President Obama told KUSA’s Kyle Clark, in response to a question on the federally-backed but failed Colorado company Abound Solar, “And these are decisions, by the way, that are made by the Department of Energy (DOE), they have nothing to do with politics.”

And just one year ago, White House advisor David Plouffe had this exchangewith NBC’s David Gregory regarding the politcal questions surrounding many of the DOE-backed projects:

DAVID GREGORY:
Were campaign contributors involved here in terms of their projects that ultimately forced the government’s hand?

DAVID PLOUFFE:
Absolutely not. These decisions about the loan program were made by career officials in the Department of Energy on the merits.

CompleteColorado.com has obtained emails that seem to directly contradict Plouffe’s answer, and also challenge the President’s notion that the DOE’s loan decisions were universally autonomous within the agency. The emails also lend even more credence to the theory that the loan to Abound Solar was political payback to Colorado’s wealthy Democratic benefactor and Gang-of-Four member, Pat Stryker.

  4. OBAMA IS A LYING _ _ _!!!

And I wish Romney had brought of this solar energy mess. Obama’s companies have brought green alright in the form of PAYOLA. YES, TO HIS AGENDA FOR A MORE PRODUCTIVE GREEN NATION. Forget Uncle Sam _ We Have Uncle Ben

    [...........]

Uncle Ben Finances Nearly All Home Sales In America

    From this American Thinker article

s of September 2008, Fannie and Freddie guaranteed roughly $3.5 trillion worth of mortgage-backed securities. The present figure must be significantly higher, because the GSEs, along with Ginnie Mae and the Federal Housing Administration, have purchased or guaranteed nearly every mortgage issued in the United States since late 2008 when the GSEs went into conservatorship. These agencies backed “nearly 97% of U.S. mortgages in 2009,” “96.5% of all newly originated mortgages” in the first quarter of 2010, and “nine out of every ten home loans” in 2012.

This is an eye-opening article. The author warns that potentially the US taxpayers could be on the hook for as much as five trillion dollars.

So, our Uncle Ben may well be the most powerful man in the world. In my opinion, he may also be the most evil and dangerous man in the world. I wonder what the writers of history will have to say about Ben Bernanke? Will his legacy be that he single-handedly destroyed the greatest economy the world has ever known?

Well, now you know what I’m thinking. What are your thoughts?

REALLY NOW OBAMA, HOW CAN YOU SAY THIS WITH A STRAIGHT FACE.

  8. OT: a story is starting to leak out that General Ham at Africom had a reaction force ready to go. He was reportedly told to stand down but ignored that order. He was reportedly “apprehended” by his second in command and relieved of duty. Apparently the commander of the Carrier Strike Group in the region has also been relieved of duty.

  9. President Obama’s Taxpayer-Backed Green Energy Failures

It is no secret that President Obama’s and green-energy supporters’ (from both parties) foray into venture capitalism has not gone well. But the extent of its failure has been largely ignored by the press. Sure, single instances garner attention as they happen, but they ignore past failures in order to make it seem like a rare case.

  10. The administration’s pie-in-the-sky energy planning is working exactly as one might have predicted.

“Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels of Europe,” said Dr. Steven Chu, Director of the Lawrence National Laboratory, in an interview with the Wall Street Journal in September 2008.

We ended that year with an average U.S. retail price of $1.67 for all grades of gasoline on December 31, 2008.

In contrast, the price of a gallon of regular gasoline that summer was $6.78 in Greece, $8.24 in Italy, and $9.39 in the Netherlands, according to Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.

Dr. Chu’s proposal to hike gas prices in the United States to European levels was published in the Wall Street Journal on December 12, 2008. Six weeks later, on January 21, 2009, he was sworn into office as President Obama’s Secretary of Energy.

The difference between the Dutch gasoline price of $9.39 and the U.S. price of $1.67 is $7.72 per gallon. The U.S. Energy Information Administration reports that the average U.S. household purchases 1,100 gallons of gasoline per year. That means a $7.72 price increase per gallon would cost the average American family an extra $8,492 per year.

For the middle fifth of the U.S. population in terms of income, the $8,492 price hike per year would cut their after-tax income by an average of 15 percent.

For the bottom fifth of U.S. households, the $8,492 price hike per year would cut their annual income by 47 percent.

Raising U.S. gasoline prices to European levels, said Chu, would encourage — or, more accurately, force — Americans to move to neighborhoods closer to work and dump their trucks and SUVs for Chinese bikes and scooter-like Smart Cars.[.............]

Some of them are so blindingly, witheringly, incomprehensibly and irretrievably STUPID that it is dumbfounding.

Yesterday I reposted a graphic about Obama’s GM bailout on Facebook. The thing says “Obama didn’t save the Auto Industry . . . He took away 2,200 dealerships and 120,000 jobs – and sent them to China.”

One of my Facebook “friends” who is an Obama supporter, proceeds to comment that Obama had NOTHING to do with the auto bailout of GM – that was all Bush, from 2006!

I posted one linke giving the facts (Forbes) and she responded “Give me an UNBIASED source, plzkthx” -so, I gave her 15 or so more and threw in one about GM’s recent China building boom for their Cadillac line . . .

I did obviously shut her up, but STILL . . . it is like they are on some kind of mind control drug!
