WOW! Bill O’Reilly BLASTS Caroline Kennedy’s Rebelious DNC Speech Against Catholic Church Doctrine (Video)

Tonight at the DNC Convention Caroline Kennedy decided to speak out as a Catholic against the Church’s doctine.
Bill O’Reilly was stunned and slammed her for this gratuitous display:

Kennedy is the latest Catholic Democrat to speak out against Catholic Church doctrine in public.

The only god they have is the state and it will destroy them in the end…

And I, as a Catholic woman, in full communion with the Church, agree with her. Yes, that puts me at odds with Rome on this one issue. So be it.

  • dnb

The Kennedys, however much the church played along, were never Catholics, but rather cinos. Bootlegging, marital infidelity (legions of it), murder (and jokes about it) aren’t being Catholic. They, and their bishops who let them get away with their antics, should be ashamed. And that goes for Pelosi and Sebelius. But Peace and Justice is an arm of the democrat party so I don’t see the USCCB speaking out against this affront to the pro-life movement. There is no such thing as a pro-choice Catholic, as it would be against Catholic dogma, specifically concerning the births of Mary and Jesus (not to mention John the Baptist, Isaac, etc.).

Even with Romney, who is pathetic, it should be a historic landslide. The power of the media controlled by the global new world order is probably too much to overcome. This child wil be re-elected. I will fight for AMERICA.

#6 – you are most certainly NOT in communion with the Catholic Church. You clearly do not understand what communion means. Communion means that you understand and affirm all the teaching of the Church. If you do not affirm all the teachings of the Catholic Church and you take communion, according to 1 Cor. 11:27-29, you are guilty of profaning Christ himself.

    I wouldn’t recommend doing that.

I just love the euphemism “reproductive healthcare” used for abortions. Regular cancer screenings, mammograms, annual gynecological visits – THAT is “reproductive healthcare.” You could even stretch the definition to include the prescription of birth control.

Abortion? That isn’t “health care” – reproductive or otherwise. Most particularly, late term partial birth abortions are not by any stretch of the imagination “health care” – reproductive or otherwise. Late term partial birth abortions of fetuses that would otherwise survive outside the womb is MURDER, plain and simple. Infanticide.

caroline receives communion and is a practicing Catholic ? Don’t slam the church caroline because you don’t believe in its teachings. Leave the church .

  • “Sweet Caroline” is a pop song written and performed by Neil Diamond and officially released on September 16, 1969, as a single.

In a 2007 interview, Diamond revealed the inspiration for “Sweet Caroline” was President John F. Kennedy’s daughter, Caroline Kennedy, who was eleven years old at the time. Diamond sang the song to her at her 50th birthday celebration in 2007.

On December 21, 2011, in an interview on the CBS Early Show, Diamond attributed the name Caroline to Caroline Kennedy. He said that a magazine cover photo of her as a young child on a horse with her parents in the background created an image in his mind, and that the rest of the song came together about five years after seeing the picture.

In 2012, I have just downloaded a copy of another song that is more appropriate to her and all the “fine ladies” at the Clown and Condom Convention.

I just dug this up and I believe it to be accurate:

Any Catholic who obstinately denies that abortion is always gravely immoral, commits the sin of heresy and incurs an automatic sentence of excommunication.

    Canon Law and Church Teaching

Canon 1398: “A person who procures a completed abortion incurs a latae sententiae excommunication.”

Canon 751: “Heresy is the obstinate denial or obstinate doubt after the reception of baptism of some truth which is to be believed by divine and Catholic faith; apostasy is the total repudiation of the Christian faith; schism is the refusal of submission to the Supreme Pontiff or of communion with the members of the Church subject to him.”

Canon 1364 §1: “an apostate from the faith, a heretic, or a schismatic incurs a latae sententiae excommunication.”

The phrase “latae sententiae” means a judgment or sentence which is ‘wide’ (latae) or widely applied; it refers to a type of excommunication which is automatic. Such a sentence of excommunication is incurred “by the very commission of the offense,” (CCC 2272) and does not require the future particular judgment of a case by competent authority.

Apostasy, heresy, and schism are all offences which incur a sentence of excommunication automatically. Heresy is the obstinate denial of any truth of the Catholic faith, on a matter of faith or morals, which has been definitively taught by the Magisterium. The Magisterium has repeatedly and definitively taught that abortion is always gravely immoral. (CCC 2270 to 2275)

Pope John Paul II, Evangelium Vitae, n. 57: “Therefore, by the authority which Christ conferred upon Peter and his Successors, and in communion with the Bishops of the Catholic Church, I confirm that the direct and voluntary killing of an innocent human being is always gravely immoral. This doctrine, based upon that unwritten law which man, in the light of reason, finds in his own heart (cf. Rom 2:14-15), is reaffirmed by Sacred Scripture, transmitted by the Tradition of the Church and taught by the ordinary and universal Magisterium.”

    Obtaining an Abortion

Any Catholic who deliberately and knowingly obtains a procured abortion commits a mortal sin and is also automatically excommunicated, under canon 1398.

Under the laws of secular society, if one person commits a crime, then anyone who deliberately and knowingly provides essential or substantial means for that person to commit that crime is called an accessory to that crime and is also subject to the penalties of law. Similarly, any Catholic who deliberately and knowingly provides essential or substantial means for any woman to procure an abortion also commits a mortal sin and also incurs the same sentence of excommunication.

Any Catholic who substantially assists another in the deliberate sin of abortion is also guilty of serious sin and also incurs a latae sententiae excommunication.

    Believing in Abortion

Any Catholic who obstinately denies that abortion is always gravely immoral commits the sin of heresy. The sin of heresy also incurs a latae sententiae excommunication.

Unfortunately, some Catholics obstinately deny that abortion is always immoral, and some Catholics claim that abortion can, at times, be a morally-acceptable choice, and some Catholics claim that a person can, in good conscience, choose abortion. Under the Code of Canon Law of the Roman Catholic Church, canons 751 and 1364, all such Catholics are automatically excommunicated for the sin of heresy.

This sentence of latae sententiae excommunication applies to any Catholic who denies that abortion is gravely immoral, regardless of whether they keep this denial hidden or publicly reveal it.

    Promoting Abortion

Those Catholics who publicly announce their denial that abortion is always gravely immoral, or who publicly promote abortion, or who publicly argue in favor of legalized abortion, also commit a mortal sin and also incur a sentence of automatic excommunication.

This sentence of excommunication applies to Catholics who are politicians, as well as to those Catholics who are political commentators, or public speakers, or who write or otherwise publicly communicate their erroneous view that abortion can be morally-acceptable or that abortion should be legal. This sentence of excommunication also certainly applies to those Catholics who claim to be theologians or Biblical scholars, but who believe or teach that abortion is not always gravely immoral.

Those Catholics who promote abortion are automatically excommunicated for two reasons. First, they have fallen into the sin of heresy by believing that abortion is not always gravely immoral (canons 751 and 1364). Second, these Catholics are providing substantial assistance for women to obtain abortions by influencing public policy to make abortions legal, and to keep abortions legal, and to broaden access to abortion. Those who provide such substantial assistance commit a mortal sin and incur a sentence of automatic excommunication (canon 1398).

  • Tom63010

Another alacarte Catholic. The vast majority are.

  • Carbon Monoxide

And it has always been this way:

    The Didache

“The second commandment of the teaching: You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not seduce boys. You shall not commit fornication. You shall not steal. You shall not practice magic. You shall not use potions. You shall not procure [an] abortion, nor destroy a newborn child” (Didache 2:1–2 [A.D. 70]).

    The Letter of Barnabas

“The way of light, then, is as follows. If anyone desires to travel to the appointed place, he must be zealous in his works. The knowledge, therefore, which is given to us for the purpose of walking in this way, is the following. . . . Thou shalt not slay the child by procuring abortion; nor, again, shalt thou destroy it after it is born” (Letter of Barnabas 19 [A.D. 74]).

    The Apocalypse of Peter

“And near that place I saw another strait place . . . and there sat women. . . . And over against them many children who were born to them out of due time sat crying. And there came forth from them rays of fire and smote the women in the eyes. And these were the accursed who conceived and caused abortion” (The Apocalypse of Peter 25 [A.D. 137]).

“What man of sound mind, therefore, will affirm, while such is our character, that we are murderers?
. . . [W]hen we say that those women who use drugs to bring on abortion commit murder, and will have to give an account to God for the abortion, on what principle should we commit murder? For it does not belong to the same person to regard the very fetus in the womb as a created being, and therefore an object of God’s care, and when it has passed into life, to kill it; and not to expose an infant, because those who expose them are chargeable with child-murder, and on the other hand, when it has been reared to destroy it” (A Plea for the Christians 35 [A.D. 177]).

“In our case, a murder being once for all forbidden, we may not destroy even the fetus in the womb, while as yet the human being derives blood from the other parts of the body for its sustenance. To hinder a birth is merely a speedier man-killing; nor does it matter whether you take away a life that is born, or destroy one that is coming to birth. That is a man which is going to be one; you have the fruit already in its seed” (Apology 9:8 [A.D. 197]).

“Among surgeons’ tools there is a certain instrument, which is formed with a nicely-adjusted flexible frame for opening the uterus first of all and keeping it open; it is further furnished with an annular blade, by means of which the limbs [of the child] within the womb are dissected with anxious but unfaltering care; its last appendage being a blunted or covered hook, wherewith the entire fetus is extracted by a violent delivery.

“There is also [another instrument in the shape of] a copper needle or spike, by which the actual death is managed in this furtive robbery of life: They give it, from its infanticide function, the name of embruosphaktes, [meaning] “the slayer of the infant,” which of course was alive. . . .

“[The doctors who performed abortions] all knew well enough that a living being had been conceived, and [they] pitied this most luckless infant state, which had first to be put to death, to escape being tortured alive” (The Soul 25 [A.D. 210]).

“Now we allow that life begins with conception because we contend that the soul also begins from conception; life taking its commencement at the same moment and place that the soul does” (ibid., 27).

“The law of Moses, indeed, punishes with due penalties the man who shall cause abortion [Ex. 21:22–24]” (ibid., 37).

    Minucius Felix

“There are some [pagan] women who, by drinking medical preparations, extinguish the source of the future man in their very bowels and thus commit a parricide before they bring forth. And these things assuredly come down from the teaching of your [false] gods. . . . To us [Christians] it is not lawful either to see or hear of homicide” (Octavius 30 [A.D. 226]).

“Women who were reputed to be believers began to take drugs to render themselves sterile, and to bind themselves tightly so as to expel what was being conceived, since they would not, on account of relatives and excess wealth, want to have a child by a slave or by any insignificant person. See, then, into what great impiety that lawless one has proceeded, by teaching adultery and murder at the same time!” (Refutation of All Heresies [A.D. 228]).

    Council of Ancyra

“Concerning women who commit fornication, and destroy that which they have conceived, or who are employed in making drugs for abortion, a former decree excluded them until the hour of death, and to this some have assented. Nevertheless, being desirous to use somewhat greater lenity, we have ordained that they fulfill ten years [of penance], according to the prescribed degrees” (canon 21 [A.D. 314]).

    Basil the Great

“Let her that procures abortion undergo ten years’ penance, whether the embryo were perfectly formed, or not” (First Canonical Letter, canon 2 [A.D. 374]).

“He that kills another with a sword, or hurls an axe at his own wife and kills her, is guilty of willful murder; not he who throws a stone at a dog, and unintentionally kills a man, or who corrects one with a rod, or scourge, in order to reform him, or who kills a man in his own defense, when he only designed to hurt him. But the man, or woman, is a murderer that gives a philtrum, if the man that takes it dies upon it; so are they who take medicines to procure abortion; and so are they who kill on the highway, and rapparees” (ibid., canon 8).

    John Chrysostom

“Wherefore I beseech you, flee fornication. . . . Why sow where the ground makes it its care to destroy the fruit?—where there are many efforts at abortion?—where there is murder before the birth? For even the harlot you do not let continue a mere harlot, but make her a murderess also. You see how drunkenness leads to prostitution, prostitution to adultery, adultery to murder; or rather to a something even worse than murder. For I have no name to give it, since it does not take off the thing born, but prevents its being born. Why then do thou abuse the gift of God, and fight with his laws, and follow after what is a curse as if a blessing, and make the chamber of procreation a chamber for murder, and arm the woman that was given for childbearing unto slaughter? For with a view to drawing more money by being agreeable and an object of longing to her lovers, even this she is not backward to do, so heaping upon thy head a great pile of fire. For even if the daring deed be hers, yet the causing of it is thine” (Homilies on Romans 24 [A.D. 391]).

“I cannot bring myself to speak of the many virgins who daily fall and are lost to the bosom of the Church, their mother. . . . Some go so far as to take potions, that they may insure barrenness, and thus murder human beings almost before their conception. Some, when they find themselves with child through their sin, use drugs to procure abortion, and when, as often happens, they die with their offspring, they enter the lower world laden with the guilt not only of adultery against Christ but also of suicide and child murder” (Letters 22:13 [A.D. 396]).

    The Apostolic Constitutions

“Thou shalt not use magic. Thou shalt not use witchcraft; for he says, ‘You shall not suffer a witch to live’ [Ex. 22:18]. Thou shall not slay thy child by causing abortion, nor kill that which is begotten. . . . [I]f it be slain, [it] shall be avenged, as being unjustly destroyed” (Apostolic Constitutions 7:3 [A.D. 400]).

#8 and #11: Whether I am or am not in communion is not for you to say. It is a matter between myself and my bishop, whom I count among my dearest, closest friends and who does not consider a difference of opinion on this point grounds for denying me communion. If I were having or performing abortions it would be a different matter but, as he puts it “the Church is not the thought police.” If I wanted to live in a theocracy, I would move to Iran but I don’t and I thank God on my knees for the for both the freedom of expression and of religion (or lack thereof for those who do not believe) guaranteed in the First Amendment.

Believing in and protecting LIFE is one of the fundamental principles of the Roman Catholic Faith. To support abortion is completely counter to this faith. It would be akin to an Atheist saying “I am 100% an atheist, I don’t believe in any supreme being or force, with one exception, I believe in God” How stupid is that statement. It’s makes as much sense as Caroline Kennedy, or any other so-called “Pro-Choice” Catholic…sorry to break it to you Caroline, and Nancy Pelosi, and you others, but you are basically saying you a uncatholic Catholic. #23, you are wrong; your bishop is wrong. I will pray for you. I also think last week’s Gospel was on the sin of thinking evil, which you and your bishop obviously seem to be doing. Come to think of it, maybe the two of you actually belong to a different church?

First of all, the commies have been against the Church since Lenin. They stepped up after the Polish revolt led by the Church. Every time I hear an attack on the Pope, especially coming from Europe and especially served up without details, I have to really wonder who is behind it.

Secondly, It is vintage Obama to turn Americans against each other. He is especially fond of turning Catholic against Catholic, Jew against Jew, black against black.

** off topic. I’m sitting here listening to Biden: “One thing I knew of Barack is the enormity of his heart”.
From Webster: “Definition of ENORMITY. 1. : an outrageous, improper, vicious, or immoral act “

  • Ginny

    Lady Mondegreen,
If you receive the Eucharist and at the same time reject ANY of the Church’s teaching on faith and morals then you eat and drink to your own condemnation. Your Bishop is just wrong and you have been very poorly catechized.

  • Angelfire

In my parish, we are told to not receive communion even if we miss a mass. Requires going to confession to again receive. Can you guess what our priest says about abortion?!

  • Redlite

Sweet Caroline you can not call yourself a Roman Catholic unless you belive in the sanctity of human life. True Catholisism is not some ala carte religion where you can pick and choose what parts of the Bible you agree with. The Episcopal Church has done that and look at the results. They agree with abortion on demand and have a practicing lesbian Bishop as head of the American church!!

The difference between repubs and dems is this: Republicans believe in the power of God and the Dems believe in the power of man.

Watching this convension is a whole lot like watching the Gong Show from the 70’s. They keep sending one fruitcake after another out to convince the public that the Pres deserves another shot. Well we all get fruitcake at Christmas and after eating a slice or two it ends up in the fridge where it remains untill Super Bowl time and we thro it out to make room for beer.

So we all hope and pray that Barry is not in office on Super Bowl time!!

No wonder you believe in it, your own faith be damned.

Lady Mondegravitas: YOU said you were not in communion, they needn’t say anything and your bishop, if he accepts your view on abortion, is no bishop.

Being in communion means you accept your faith. The Catholic church is not member ruled. We have a 2000 year leader who knew very well what was coming down the road when He made these rules. St. Peter was the STEWARD for Christ, who gave him the keys to the church, the provisions for which were never in question.

Thou shalt not kill and ‘woe unto any who harm the most innocent’ are irrefutable.

John leapt in Elizabeth’s womb as a pregnant Mary approached and if you haven’t figured out that there are NO gratuitous lines in the Bible you were improperly catechized.

Actually I need not ask. You could not be properly catechized, call yourself a practicing Catholic and CHOOSE to reject a law that you have no say in. Catholicism is not a voter controlled movement.

I’d recommend you find another bishop.

Better yet, go to confession and urge him to as well.

May God steer you away from the blindness and hard heartedness which feeds evil, not your soul.

  • Jeannie

The Catholic church does not use excommunication to punish but to drive a sinner to repentance so that they can readjust their lives in order to submit to God’s will and find the only source of peace.

Only Christianity believes that every single human being is of priceless worth and has talents that can taken them as far as they want, with faith in God.

Caroline Kennedy is the product of a liberal elite education. Rich or not, anyone between 30 and 90 schooled these last 60 years in elite circles, will have a severely twisted view of reality.

I never understood why people who disagree with the rules of a club, and have no intention of following those rules remain in the club. Lady Mondegreen

Lady, I say this with great love in my heart for you. This is not a matter of opinion, but of fact. Your view on the matter would be like Hitler saying the he and the Catholic church had a different opinion of the Jew being human, or cripples being allowed to live.

Scientifically at the moment of conception the child is human. Metaphysically according to Christianity the child has a soul at the moment of conception. According to the Bible God knows the child as it is knitted in the womb.

I don’t know if you have had an abortion or family that has had an abortion. If you have my heart goes out to you because of the deep pain that is involved. But abortion is what it is. It is not a matter of opinion. If you say that you are for abortion in regards to saving the life of a woman….that is a terrible choice that must be made. If you stand in defense of a pregnancy created through rape/rape incest I would champion the life of the individual baby, but I can understand. If the new mother is simply poor, decides she has too many children, or that the interruption of motherhood during this stage of her life is the reason to kill the child there is no understanding at all from me.

Now let me ask you this…Is it ok to abort a baby because it is a girl and not a boy? If not why do you draw the line there?

  • Joanne S.

It was Ted Kennedy who pushed abortion on the Democrat Party after several dissident priests reassured him at a special meeting in Hyannisport that it wouldn’t alienate Catholics. The blood money from the abortion industry was just too tempting. Besides, if men want to fool around it makes perfect sense to champion abortion so they can hide the fruits of their actions. If women are stupid enough to buy into it their own exploitation, then go for it. After all, Caroline Kennedy would have a bunch of half sisters and half brothers running around if JFK hadn’t had that mafia lady he was having an affair with get an abortion. (forgot her name, but she was also the girlfriend of Sam Giancanna and related the abortion in her book)

Obviously, none of the faithful Catholics commenting on your posts are going to convince you otherwise (bravo to those who have truly done their homework in citing both Sacred Scripture and irrefutable Church teachings).

I pray that the Holy Spirit will open your mind and heart to the truth…there are none so blind as those who will not see!

Damn it, how many ‘Catholics’ don’t know this, advising for, having, or approving an abortion is an AUTOMATIC excommunication, you have to see a bishop to undo it. And only if you actually are repentant.

So she, and lady Mondegreen etc. are excommunicated, which is(the closest you can get to)being kicked out of the catholic church.

If you think it’s O.K. to kill children, you are NOT in communion with Rome, God, or sanity.

The automatic excommunication applies to any living human being, INCLUDING BISHOPS.
