Tell Us Something We Don’t Know… Jay-Z Says He’ll Vote For Obama Because He’s Black

Jay-z told reporters he’ll vote for Obama this year because he’s black…
Sorta like last time.

CBS Local reported:

Jay-Z recently revealed his conservative leanings. While he was promoting the NBA 2K13 game at the 40/40 Club in Manhattan, he offered his philosophy on politics and voiced his support for small government.

While the Brooklyn rapper is a high profile endorser of President Obama, he’s no fan of Washington.

“I don’t even like the word politics,” Jay-Z told MTV News. ”It implies something underhanded and I think we need less government.”

Despite his support for the President, Jay-Z’s “less government” viewpoint is more in line with Obama’s opponents on the right, such as Republican candidate Mitt Romney, who also calls for smaller government. But his stance on smaller government aside, Jay-Z is all in for the president’s re-election.

“I support Barack because I gotta respect that sort of vision. I gotta respect a man who is the first black President ever,” he said. “To have that sort of vision and dream, I have to support that.”

If this is true, then we have not come very far as a country. If someone votes for anyone because of the color of his/her skin, rather than who is best qualified, the content of their character, than no progress has been made in this country. Very sad.

If it is racist to vote against someone simply because of their race, isn’t it also racist to vote *for* someone simply because of their race?

No human rights without religious freedom

[While the 1948 declaration isn’t legally binding, it represents
a concrete statement of principles, a clear standard for every
nation. It’s time that fellow member states hold flagrant
    violators accountable.

It’s not just about individual freedom. Society’s well-being is
also at stake. Across the globe, religious freedom is tied to
robust democracy, diminished violence and greater prosperity
and stability. Nations that abuse religious liberty often are
incubators of intolerance, extremism, poverty, insecurity,
    violence and repression.

In other words, standing for religious freedom is not just
a legal or moral obligation, but a practical imperative.

It’s time for members of the General Assembly to take this
imperative to heart, embracing the 1948 Declaration of
    Human Rights.]

I’m not shocked. Jay-Z got his start as a drug dealer see he and Bam are on the same page.

  • Jim Scrummy

So in other words JZ is full of shizzle? Wow, a guy as incompetent as Barky is, and people who did build it (their bidness), such as JZ are still voting for him because he’s black? Boggles the mind.

#2. These is no question of “if” here. I would venture to say that 80% or more Blacks in America voted for B. Obama because he is black. Many young white Americans also voted for Obama originally just to be a part of making history. I would even say that I can understand, that in their case, being able to elect a Black President did represent how far black people have come in America… BUT voting for him and supporting the man now, is just ignorant. The novelty is gone, like so many jobs. He is a deceiver. HE is destroying this country, and it’s not by accident. Obama is unraveling the fabric that this great country is built on. He has lied to the American people and has placed our citizens in danger, by weakening our country. Are we better off today? That’s gotta be the most ignorant question I’ve ever heard…yet some people are still missing it.

No, you’ve all got it wrong. Jay-Z really has zero choice as far as whom to support. If he backs Romney he loses his audience/customers.

But the fact that he made noises about small government shows that he won’t be too upset when Bambi loses.

  • PlymouthMom

Well….. I am voting for Romney & Ryan because they are both white! So there, how does that grap ya?!

  • Adirondack Patriot

Does Jay-Z know that his daughter looks more like Obama than him?

    Hmmmm. . . .

  • southernsue

the rich blacks cannot thank their black brother for anything!

these two are rich because of white kids, not black kids.

a pimp and a pole dancer, yeah i want to hang out with them!ugh

  • Loquesha Hite

He do somethin’ because of The One’s skin color, that be OK.

But if I do somethin’ because of The One’s skin color, that be racist.

Barry Dunham Soetoro Barack Hussein Obama (by any
other factual or fictional names) is, uh, er, BLACK?! /s/

    my bottom line:

the who, what, where, when, why, or how of Obama is totally
irrelevant, what is extremely relevant is what this person has
done, is still doing, and will continue to do to America, period..

  • Blacque Jacques Shellacque

Jay-z told reporters he’ll vote for Obama this year because he’s black…

It’s also easier – it requires no effort from his already-overworked little brain to consider the pros and cons of each candidate and decide which one would be best for the country.

  • john

I’m voting for R/R because they’re not black. Oops, guess I’m a racist now.

  • hermie

Which is why cities like Detroit, Gary, etc continued to retain corrupt or incompetent mayors. The voters couldn’t bear to vote for someone who didn’t ‘look like them’. The results are obvious for anyone to see except those who can’t look past color.
