Outrageous. Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) a civil rights legend, who lied about being called a n*gger by tea party activists in 2010, was back at it last night. During his speech at the godless DNC Convention on Thursday Lewis told the audience that Republicans will bring back segregation.

What a disgusting remark. This man has squandered his good name to hurl racist insults against Republicans.
Rep. Lewis – You owe the country an apology.
The Daily Caller reported:

Rep. John Lewis used his Thursday convention speech to argue that a GOP victory in November will send African-Americans back to the early 1960s, when he and other Africans-Americans were forcibly denied access to restaurants, public transportation and the ballot box.

“I’ve seen this before, I lived this before,” he claimed, after extensively describing his activism in Southern states in the 1950 and 1960s.

“We were met by an angry mob that beat us and left us lying in a pool of blood,” he said to raucous applause from roughly 20,000 delegates and activists.

“Brothers and sisters, do you want to go back?” he called, prompted a loud response of “No!”

“Or do you want to keep America moving forward?” he asked Sept. 6 to raucous applause from roughly 20,000 delegates and activists.

  1. He doesn’t seem to like white or Asian people. Probably he is hoping for segregation…except for paying the bills, of course.

  2. If by segregation he means segregate all the America-hating race-baiters and Marxists and parasites and “Occupiers” and illegals and terrorists and everyone with a “D” next to his/her name from the rest of us, I’m for it, Legend.

  3. The outrageous claims these folks keep making about the GOP only force a lot of ‘middle of the road’ folks to vote for Romney and Ryan.

So many Democrat insiders – like this racist Congressman Lewis – got their memo from Obama/Axelrod that tells them to call Romney the “turn back” candidate. And of course – like the handpuppets they are – they go forth and repeat this idea that the GOP will ‘turn back’ history to take away the women’s vote, to race division where whites beat down blacks and prevent them from drinking from water fountains…. it’s crazy stupid stuff.

Paul Ryan and Mitt Romney both call themselves the ‘turn around’ candidates.

Big difference – especially if you are wandering along a road in unfamiliar territory without a GPS system or even a map.

We can’t ‘turn back’ to old times – because we can’t unring bells or wind back clocks.

But we can ‘turn around’ and regroup when we know we are lost and definitely going in the wrong direction.

And the Restore and Reform candidates of the GOP are just the guys to turn us around and start going in the right direction.

  4. This is all the Alinsky Party has, lies, slander, and scare tactics. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, John Lewis, Joe Biden, Barack Obama, David Axelrod, and Stephanie Cutter to name a few. They’re compulsive, straight face liars.

  5. Too bad this bull-dog looking freak wasn’t left in the 60′s.

  6. Godless ones!

  7. More of Joe Biden’s ghost of slavery past performance of rattling the slave chains…..but its only an outrage if old white guys play on race guilt………You HAD to be standing on the bridge at Selma to possess the official moral authority to rattle slave chains !

  8. Actually he seems not to have left the 60′s, just like so many liberals. Does he really think there’s any chance that segregation could be re-instituted? Do they really think that a Republican president might actually wave his hand and make abortion illegal, or even birth control? They talk as if there’s a danger that gays could be stuffed back into closets, women pushed back into menial jobs, and illegals rounded up and deported en masse. It’s all so ridiculous, yet they seem to expect ordinary, sane Americans to believe this nonsense and run to vote for Obama. You’d have to be locked up in an institution, like a university, or a government or union job, to be so out of touch as to believe this baloney.

  9. So, it was an angry mob of republicans?

    A pool of blood?

  10. #9 Nellie – I just LOVE how you say “….you have to be locked up in an institution – like a university, or a government or union job to be so out of touch to believe this baloney”.

As someone who is locked in one of your mentioned institutions…I applaud you for your wisdom.

I am hoping for relief someday soon – and I see it coming in November with A Romney Ryan landslide – God willing :- )

  11. Have these socialist dems gone into more of an overdrive on the slanderous accusations than ever before? This kind of talk is just ridiculous and really a joke to anyone with a few working brain cells.
It’s like all the speakers at the DNC have mental issues and are hoping it is contagious.

  12. …and the award goes to…

  13. RE: “Rep. John Lewis Owes the Country an Apology For His Racist Insults at the Godless DNC”

Yeah, right! Everyone who ever expects a racist to apologize about their institutionalized hatred is in need of psychological counseling themselves. I’m over 60 and have NEVER seen a racist apologize – NEVER. White racists, black racists, Jewish racists, Asian racists…it just doesn’t happen.

  14. Shame memories are so short.
I wonder what he would say about the Southern White Democrats, and Segregation; and the Northern Republicans who came south to march and work with Dr. King.

  15. You know, I think the time has come for people like this freak to be called on the disgusting things he’s saying. And I mean by this , called by somebody like Ryan , or one of their top surrogates like Sununu who’s fearless. Why should the GOP ignore this slanderous attacks and let them fester?

  16. Poor man. Democrats care more about race than ideas. This man should go to some tea party rallies and see what real progress is like. He would be so surprised.

I’m praying for you, Mr. Lewis! It’s not too late for you to come over to the other side of the aisle and see the light!

  17. bring back segration

take a woman’s right to vote away

leave women to die in the emergency room

want to wipe out the middle class

i love the new tone of civility in politics.

  18. I think most of you should read your history books. I mean books that give an account of the happenings in the south. I grew up in the South. I know of the things that happened in Mississippi and other Southern States. I saw a man hanged across the road from our farm. We never knew what he supposedly did. But he swung in that tree for more than two hours. If you wan’t to believe that the KKK didn’t rule in the courts, on the police Department and in some of the highest offices in the land, you must be a juvenile. Everyone knows what happened in this country from slavery until now in some places.

Just reading your comments, allows me to know that all of you are in denial. Slavery would never have been abolished if it hadn’t been for the liberals. I guess that’s why you guys hate liberals so much. They’re the reason that many of you have to work for your own living. You no longer have slaves to do it for you.

Believe it or not, the liberals were once the Christian with a conscience and wanted to abolish slavery. Now the Christians are the ones that want to take away the rights of others. They want to as they say: “Take this country back” (to the days of slavery and free labor). It will never happen again.

  19. The liberals have created division the likes of which some people may not retreat from.
Comments from people like this only serve to solidify the division, not only of the political parties, but of the races.
The entire cast of the DNC was testimate to the intended spitting in the face of conservatives, republicans, and independents also, should they dare consider voting for anyone on the right.
What these idiots don’t seem to comprehend…you don’t get a pass when all you do is lie, besmirch and malign those from whom your opinion differs. This group has let all the stops out, and have gone WAY into the red zone of off limits and inappropriateness.
It’s not surprising that reasonable people may be defecting from this rhetoric and seeking a more balanced resolve.
