Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren rejected DNC Chair Wasserman Schultz’s wild claim that he told her Republican actions are “dangerous” to Israel this afternoon.

Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz made the offensive comments at a training session for Jewish Democrats held by the Obama campaign

Oren replied:

I categorically deny that I ever characterized Republican policies as harmful to Israel. Bipartisan support is a paramount national interest for Israel, and we have great friends on both sides of the aisle.”

  1. Israel standing up again this tyrannical dishonest administration

Good for them. We need Romney/Ryan in the WH yesterday so they can stand behind this small brave country that is surrounded by radicals.

  2. Wasserman Schultz is a flibbertigibbet. I think the only reason she retains her position as Chair of the DNC is that all the smart, ambitious Democrats could see the upcoming spanking of the party by the voters from a long way off.

  3. Thank God for some sanity and some perspective understanding just how offensive and contemptuous people can be. These are extraordinary time, nuclear threats and it is an embarrassment just how the Democratic party has changed.

  4. Congratulations to the DNC for finding the silliest Jew in America to represent their party and Obama’s dangerous attitude toward Israel.

  5. Liberal Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz told The Daily Caller that he finds the 2012 Democratic Party platform’s omissions on Hamas and Palestinian refugees “deeply troubling.”

“I think one shouldn’t give too much weight to platform pronouncements, but in this case, I think the omissions are troubling — particularly the omission about the Palestinian refugee issue and Hamas are, I think, deeply troubling,” he told The Daily Caller, responding to a report in the Washington Free Beacon demonstrating how this year’s Democratic Party platform is not as pro-Israel as in years past.

The Free Beacon report showed how while in 2004 and 2008 the Democratic Party platform called for Palestinian refugees to be settled in a future Palestinian state — and explicitly not in Israel — the 2012 platform makes no mention of the issue. Similarly, the 2012 platform doesn’t take a stand on dealing with the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas, which controls the Gaza strip, yet in 2008 the platform declared: “The United States and its Quartet partners should continue to isolate Hamas until it renounces terrorism, recognizes Israel’s right to exist, and abides by past agreements.”

On the issue of Jerusalem, this year’s Democratic platform doesn’t take the stand that the city is the capital of Israel, while in past platforms it was explicitly stated.

Dershowitz said he is concerned that this year’s Democratic Party platform will make Israel a partisan issue, something he thinks is not good for the U.S.-Israel relationship.

“My goal is always to keep support for Israel a bi-partisan issue and never make a national election any kind of referendum on Israel,” he said. “I don’t think it is a good thing that the Republican platform seems to be more pro-Israel than the Democratic platform.”

Dershowtiz said that this is not the last the Democratic Party has heard about the platform as he is personally going to get to the bottom of what happened.

  6. Did you notice that Shultzes hair gets curlier and curlier with each lie she tells?

  7. Patty, I was a Dem until about 15 years ago and I saw all this then. I in turn was being shown the truth of the direction from someone who had left 15 years prior to that.

the party change happened a long while ago.

WHat has changed is that the media became too brazen and overplayed their hand. Ironically, I think it was the over the top hatred of Bush that first was embraced by everyone on the left but then THIS president and Pelosi and Reid were so toxic that they took a second look and realized what was going on, some even willing to concede the hatred and the lies about Bush were not rational.

    Indoctrination CAN be deprogrammed.

  8. Wait…you’re saying DWS lied?

  9. *8 – Probably a Faustian deal she made…can you imagine if it was her nose that was to grow?

Rush: Barney Frank Checked Into His Convention Hotel With Leather Belt Around His Neck (photo)

… Barney Frank… I kid you not. I’ve got the picture. Barney Frank checked into his hotel (it’s one of the Marriott’s there) with a leather belt around his neck, buckled. It’s the kind of belt you would wear in your slacks. There’s Barney Frank — photo from the side, his right side — checking into the hotel with a leather belt buckled around his neck. I don’t understand it. I’m not going to offer any analysis. I’m just telling you, I’ve got the picture. …

  12. Debbie rotten crotch schultz caught lying again, with all the practice she gets, i would expect her not to get caught so often.

  13. “Bipartisan support is a paramount national interest for Israel, and we have great friends on both sides of the aisle.”

One thing to keep in mind – only in a time of crisis will you find out just who it is among those friends that can truly be considered “great”.

  14. She’s such a skank, then again most Democrat “women” are.

  15. #17 I hold myself a gentleman. I repudiate your nasty name-calling…for anybody.

As far as I know…or you know…she’s a good, virtuous wife.

    We can hope, anyhow.

  16. W-S will say anything as long as it makes the point she wants to make. No one can shut her up even when they call her on her lies. She knows that the news cycle will pick up the sound bite so she rattles on.
