Mike Huckabee went there. The former governor compared the Obama Administration’s cover-up in Benghazi to the Watergate scandal.
“Nobody died in Watergate. We have some people who are dead because of this.”
Mike Huckabee on America’s Newsroom:
“We’ve been lied to. We’ve been flat out lied to. It’s as if airplanes crashing into the World Trade Center and someone said those were just accidents they veered off course. Everyone with two eyes and an IQ above plant life understands that what happened in Egypt and what happened in Libya was not some spontaneous reaction to some stupid 13 minute video on YouTube. It was a planned, coordinated, orchestrated attack led by terrorists. Terrorists, Bill…
…And I think frankly if this issue gets the traction it deserves. Let’s go back. Richard Nixon was forced out of office because he lied. And because he covered some stuff up. I’m going to blunt and tell you this. Nobody died in Watergate. We have some people who are dead because of this. And there are some questions that should be answered and Americans ought to demand to get answers.”
More… It’s so bad even Senate Democrats are demanding answers.

nobody got RICH! off of Watergate either, except the attackers (John Dean, Bob Woodward, Carl Bernstein…) puts a different spin on, “I am not a crook” – doesn’t it?
Ghost commented:
“Watergate does not bother me, does your conscience bother you? (tell the truth)”

the next time you hear about “boat people” and “killing fields” – think Watergate

Well, I guess Huckabee has his moments.

and the next time you hear about “V-V Day” (January 22, 1973) it’ll be the first time, right?

9/11 (2012) IT WAS AN INSIDE JOB!
stick their crap back in their faces and make them smell it, make them eat it,

it’s not possible to HATE The Left more than at present, is it?
but when I want a refresher course I just call up pictures of Saigon, April 30, 1975 and then
pictures of the boat people from that Summer 1975.
Sean commented:
Watergate looks smaller and smaller as time passes. Too bad so many Repubs were so cowardly and pretty much forced Nixon to resign pretty much. Because of it perhaps a million people died.
Robert commented:
There is a vast liberal media conspiracy to cover up these miserable failures. For this reason, the impact will not be the same, even though the actions taken by government are more reprehensible.
Rather than having a Soviet-style media, which was coerced into reporting the state line, our media does so willingly, even to the point of pushing the government into a more liberal posture than it might otherwise take.
This is the biggest story of modern politics, coloring every other and affecting news coverage towards an unmistakable liberal bias.
Grandma Perkins commented:
Nobody seems to care.
*sigh*
Mahdi Al-Dajjal commented:
The people can’t demand answers. Only talking heads on nightly news programs can demand answers and apparently they’re not interested in any of this.
Again… if it’s not being mentioned on the nightly news by the mainstream media’s talking heads, then it’s completely unimportant and absolutely nothing you need to concern yourself with.

The current landscape does look bleak. The press are the enemy these days. Give no aid or comfort.

The foreign-policy results of the new Bloomberg National Poll haven’t gotten much attention yet, but the survey contains some bad news for the Obama campaign. According to the poll, Mitt Romney has a 48-42 advantage over Barack Obama on the question of which candidate would be tougher on terrorism. Romney, in other words, has encroached on one of Obama’s signature strengths.

The only question you have to ask:
What if Bush had done it?
Obama says he’s all for fairness and equality and an equal playing field and everyone being treated the same — yet he’s happy that he’s not held to the same standard as others, including his predecessor.

Why the look of disapproval on little Billy Hemmer’s face?? A comparison to Watergate??
