Mitt Romney jumped to a 3 point lead over Barack Obama in the latest Rasmussen poll.

Mitt leads socialist Obama by 3 points after the RNC Convention.
Rasmussen reported:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 47% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns 44% of the vote. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.

As expected, Romney is enjoying a modest bounce from the past week’s Republican National Convention. He trailed the president by two when the convention began and is up by three today. See daily tracking history. He also has gained ground in the swing state tracking results updated daily for subscribers at 10:00 a.m. Eastern.

It will take a few more days to fully measure the bounce. This update is based on nightly interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, roughly two-thirds of the interviews were conducted before Romney’s speech to the convention Thursday night.

  1. The only poll I will give credibility to is the one taken on Nov. 6th.

  2. This is even bigger and really puts the LIE to those MSM poll +10 Dem samples:

Number of Republicans in America Reaches Record High
    in Politics

    Monday, September 10, 2012

After falling for two straight months, the number of Americans who consider themselves Republicans jumped nearly three points in August.

During August, 37.6% of Americans considered themselves Republicans. That’s up from 34.9% in July and 35.4% in June. It’s also the largest number of Republicans ever recorded by Rasmussen Report since monthly tracking began in November 2002. The previous peak for the GOP was 37.3% in September 2004.

  3. And Barry will get a “bump” following the Dem convention. Absolutely nothing news worthy regarding post-convention polling. People who don’t follow politics on a regular basis have their most exposure to a non-incumbent presidential candidate because of convention coverage.

#1 RKflorida, I agree, have said for years the only poll that really counts is the election. Everything else is propaganda. Sadly for a lot of voters though pre-election polling shapes their opinion.

  4. Remember, the average MS poll only has about 24% Republicans. You can now see how pathetic that is.

  5. That scariest number in those polls for Obama is that he is at 44% with likely voters 2 months from the election.

So between now and election day, where is Obama going to find another 7%?

You act as if this were something new, let alone breaking news. The biases with oversampling/undersampling has been going on since there has been polls by the American Pravda propaganda complex. The bias has always been there, it was the rise of alternate sources of news such as the internet that exposed the bias for most Americans.

  7. The metrics are out for Clint’s Alinsky treatment of Pres. Empty Chair…

Here’s another data point, too: the split among Florida voters to Eastwood’s speech was 49% positive to only 24% negative by the next day — presumably even after the avalanche of criticism for it. The overall split is positive in almost all demos except Democrats (30/45) and liberals (26/58). Majorities of independents (51/26), seniors (54/20), men (54/24) approved of it, but the biggest positive response came from Hispanics, 62/21 — even better than Republicans (58/12). Even women (44/25) and black voters (43/37) liked Eastwood’s extemporaneous riff on President Obama.

  8. FurryGuy,

You have a special talent for coming across as an ass even when you aren’t trying to. NEVER address me as if I am some sort of child that doesn’t know what’s going on. OF COURSE I know this is the Left’s oldest trick. That doesn’t mean I shouldn’t complain about it now.

You are NOT smarter than the other posters in here. Don’t pretend to be.

If you truly believe that balderdash I have a bridge for sale, cheap. Waterfront with a great view.

  10. This is silly. Mitt will get a little bump. Then when Obama gives his speech, the media will fan out and rig every poll they can find to give Obama a 10 point bounce and declare him as having already won. I’m going to go out on a limb and predict (using the last few elections as my guide) that Obama gets at least 40% of the vote no matter what he does.

  11. As a followup to my comment, Bill Mitchell is probably right. Look at the elections since Carter. The Dems always get about 40%. This is the site I am using:

    http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/showelection.php?year=1980

Look up the following elections on this site right up to the last one. Interesting stuff. Of course, we could all be wrong here. God willing, Obama only gets, oh, 30%. But if I were being paid to analyze this, and looking at Bill Mitchell’s source, it appears that the 40% number may hold.

  12. Good news is that Mitt has opened a minor lead.

Bad news, the lead should be at least 15 points instead of 3 points. It is shocking how many Americas are still addicted to Hopium and are willing to vote for the Empty Suit in the White House.

With the known biases in the MSM it is strange that any Republican ever gets elected, if all one goes by are the polls.

  14. 13% of the population is black, 16% Hispanic, 3% Islamic, 2% liberal Jews. These demographics explain why despite obamas massive failures, the election is still close. These demographics also explain why the msm is so biased- the networks are simply catering to their audience

  15. The GOP convention was very well presented and the overall presentation reflected American values. Angry Democrats demogoging America, religion, whites, and freedom will provide the necessary contrast to push even more likely voters towards Romney.

There will be no bump for Obama – the Marxist fool needs to start packing for life in Kenya.

  16. So there are 44% of the people that are Marxist and just plain f’n stupid

Maybe I play a cranky old f@art on the internet, or *gasp* maybe I am one in real life. If you don’t like what I have to say, then just ignore me. Somehow I will get over the implied chastisement, just barely.

And this is the last I have to say on the subject.
