Fans Give “2016 Obama’s America” Top Rating – Leftist Critics Say It’s Just So-So

What a surprise.
Fandango is a movie website that has reviews, tickets, movie times and ratings.
Fandango “fans” continue to give “2016 Obama’s America” the top rating – “Must Go.”

But for some reason movie critics across the country have panned the movie giving it a rating of just “So-So.”
These far left critics just don’t see what all the buzz is about?

Leftist say 2016 Obama’s America is so-so because they do not care about character, as their stands on social issues make clear.

Rasmussen is giving Romney a 5 point convention bounce so far. Pretty normal. Since his is a 3 day moving average we may get a few more points.

This is nothing new, really. The movies that the average viewer likes, and so pays money to watch, are ones most critics sneer at. Political-based movies just highlight the simple fact that most critics are part of the American Pravda propaganda complex, and so vote D reflexively.

Went to see it yesterday & Mr. D’Souza makes a powerful and convincing argument. He uses Obama’s own narration from his autobiography effectively and fills in the blanks as only someone with D’Souza’s background and scholarship can.
    It’s a good film.

Same on 35% of critics like it. 80% of moviegoers like it.

And that’s the reason I take movie critics reviews with a grain of salt. I prefer to read what the viewers are saying. These so-called self-appointed movie critics usually lean far left and read the same talking points the liberals publish weekly. I imagine the Bolshevicks from the western Pravda satelite bureaus pay well to keep the masses misinformed.

Hard to understand “the masses” and what they like when one is constantly immersed in Leftist ideology.

I quit bothering with what the “critics” think a long time ago:

    1. They write their reviews for each other, rather than for anyone wondering whether they should go the movie or not, trying to impress their colleagues about how cool they are and how much esoteric nonsense they can spew.

    2. Their reviews are highly tainted by numerous unstated prejudices, ranging from personal hatred or adulation of specific directors and actors, to the obvious fact that almost all reviewers are “progressives” and one of their primary review criteria is whether a movie perpetuates or impedes “progressiveness”.

Fortunately, the Internet has rendered professional “critics” irrelevant because now we can read hundreds of interesting, non-professional commentaries about movies, many of which state the commentator’s prejudices up front.

    I loved it, but that’s because I’m a right-winger. But politics aside, it’s very well-made; cogent, straightforward.

For the opposite, check out that idiotic (and endless) motorcyle chase in “Bourne Legacy.” I don’t know WHAT was going on in that mess!

  • DerpHoft

I’m guessing that the critics are probably less politically biased than the right wingers who have seen the movie and rated it highly. But then again, blaming only the bias of the critics allows you to play the victim card that the right seems to play at every turn now.

I hear Barakroach’s brother, Owango, is fixing up the guest hut in anticipation for B’s retirement..I wonder where the Greek columns will go?

  • Winston Wolfe

I’m guessing that the critics are probably less politically biased than the right wingers

And you’d be guessing wrong because either you agree with said critics, or have never read them.

They are – to a person – decidedly left-of-center. Heck. Just take a look at some of Roger Ebert’s tweets.

There’s a real simple metric to gauge how well made a movie is: the box office. If a movie is successful DESPITE the sound thrashing critics insist on, then the critics are wrong. You are just as wrong for trying to defend an indefensible talking points narrative that stinks worse than 3 day old fish.

For all the Leftist hatred of big business and corporations, some of the biggest are the movie studios. And their sole objective is to *GASP* make a profit.

Went and Saw Dinesh D’Souza’s film 2016: Obama’s America. . . OMG very powerful and insightful. . .thought I understood Big Ears but the film opened my eyes further and exposed some pieces that now make total sense. . . and it is scary. . .

D’souza does an excellent job linking key influences on Obama Like Frank Davis, Bill Ayers and Jerimiah Wright. . but two I never knew or heard of before. . .The Columbia pro-palestinian and islamic professor and a Radical Harvard Professor of Brazilian decent (so radical that Brazil kicked him out). They helped ingrain in him ANTI-colonialism feeling and contempt for the West.

D’Souza does an excellent job and most of the film explaining just what this anti-colonialism thinking implies as he too grew up surrounded by it in India and what it means for America going forward with Obama in the WH. And yes, it is ANTI-WHITE MAN!

D’Souza does not challenge where Obama was Born (takes it as a given for this film). . he focuses more on THE DREAMS FROM MY FATHER that Obama penned.

One interesting part was the conversation with Obama’s half-brother in Kenya who wrote a book about colonialism. . . At the time of Kenya independence from the Brits, Kenya had a higher GDP than Indonesia Malaysia and Korea. . . now look at it. . . Same with South Africa. . . and Zimbabwe!

However, the real eye opener and the root of Obama’s thinking and character was his Mom. . .
She is the one who filled little Barry’s head with thoughts and concepts . . . and was ANTI-American!

D’Souza highlighted from OBAMA’s own words in his book (p47 in Dreams). .
Lolo invites Obama’s mother to attend dinner parties with American businessmen. She refuses and says, “They are not my people” (p. 47)

Obama’s mom hated America. . .and Capitalism and her father was a Commie sympathizer and pal of Frank Davis.
For mor about Obama and his mother’s influence, see page 52 in the following link

So Obama in his head, when he flies over the US looks down and says

Go see the film, , and bring a friend!

Here is a link to set the stage by D’souza himself at C=PAC

Very good movie, confirmed my suspicions that I have had since 2007. He wants to weaken America to make us an easier target.
