Egypt’s general prosecutor wants the death penalty for Americans who blaspheme Mohammad.
Ocala.com reported, via The Jawa Report:

Egypt’s general prosecutor issued arrest warrants Tuesday for seven Egyptian Coptic Christians and a Florida-based American pastor and referred them to trial on charges linked to an anti-Islam film that has sparked riots across the Muslim world….

The prosecutor’s office said in a statement that the accused, which includes the film’s alleged producer, face charges of harming national unity, insulting and publicly attacking Islam and spreading false information. The office said they could face the death penalty, if convicted.

The Obama Administration wants to forgive approximately $1 billion of Egypt’s debt to the United States. This is in addition to about $1.5 billion in annual U.S. foreign aid.

    Okay. Time to cut them loose. Pay up the 1 billion and hold your breath for any future billions. These people are not stupid enough to think we would acutally kill our citizens. Not yet anyway. BTW, where are the “free mumia” lackwits in this discussion decrying the death penalty. This is just a ploy to get their blind sheik back and more money out of us. Plus more obieasance to them from our pseudo-commander-in-chief. They enjoy seeing America in the weak position this imposter has put us in. It’s also a message to the rest of the world that they will not tolerate any “blasphamy” about their “prophet”. They will now use the court system and if these defendents should ever be dumb enough to go to another country, they can demand extradition. This is also a sop thrown to their citizens to show their leaders are on their toes or some such.

    Of course, if undretaken, that would reduce the population of Egypt by 98%, but think of it this way: no more billions of dollars of US money will need to go there; there will be a reduction in global emissions (favored by all the greens), etc.
