It Figures… Tennessee Democratic Candidate for Senate Belongs to Prominent Hate Group (Video)

The Democrat Party says they will not back their nominee.
He belongs to a hate group.
You’d think that would be a plus for Democrats. Weird?
The Tennessean reported:
The party of Cordell Hull, Estes Kefauver and Al Gore Sr. and Jr. won’t have a standard-bearer — or at least not one it can stomach — in Tennessee’s next U.S. Senate race.
Less than 24 hours after a man espousing conservative and libertarian views surprised the state’s political scene by winning the Democratic nomination, the Tennessee Democratic Party disavowed him, saying he’s part of an anti-gay hate group.
The party said Friday that it would do nothing to help Mark Clayton, 35, who received nearly twice as many votes as his closest challenger in Thursday’s seven-candidate primary, winning the right to challenge Republican U.S. Sen. Bob Corker in November.
“The only time that Clayton has voted in a Democratic primary was when he was voting for himself,” the party said in a news release. “Many Democrats in Tennessee knew nothing about any of the candidates in the race, so they voted for the person at the top of the ticket. Unfortunately, none of the other Democratic candidates were able to run the race needed to gain statewide visibility or support.
“Mark Clayton is associated with a known hate group in Washington, D.C., and the Tennessee Democratic Party disavows his candidacy, will not do anything to promote or support him in any way, and urges Democrats to write-in a candidate of their choice in November.”
Clayton defended his work for Public Advocate of the United States, the pro-life, pro-marriage group in question, and said he was disappointed with the Tennessee Democratic Party’s “zero-sum politics.”

A federal traditional marriage (man-woman) amendment to the Constitution to defend tradional marriage from assaults from those who claim to promote “same sex marriage”;
School prayer and the freedom of religious expression in public places;
Faith-based and community initiatives;
Pro-life legislation;
The promotion and protection of the Boy Scouts, organized sports and other activities that reinforce morality, accountability and leadership in our youth;
Tax cuts and the exposure of wasteful “pork barrel” spending for the benefit of liberal special interests;
Equality under the law, regardless of one’s sexual orientation.

Peter, I have the same question. The article said “Public Advocate of the United States, the pro-life, pro-marriage group”, which sounds about as hateful as what Chick-fil-A CEO Cathy said in his views supporting traditional marriage. Which to me, is not hateful at all.
But now that the Obamessiah has changed his views and now supports homosexual marriage, it is now a hate crime to support traditional marriage, apparently.

And the voters will decide. Hopefully, the best man wins. Same in November for the presidency. It will boil down to how many have listen and research and weigh the candidates successes and failures.

The classification of a group with an opposing political view
as a “hate group” is the essence of totalitarianism.
A true hate group should be given no consideration, no legitimacy.
The Democrat Party of Tennessee states that a group which
supports traditional values is a “hate group” and therefore

I understand. I was just quoting from the article to make a point. I didn’t mean to blame anything on Gateway Pundit. I went to the web site for Public Advocate of the United States and didn’t see anything that appeared hateful at all. They just advocate for traditional Judeo-Christian values, which the Left categorizes as hateful values now.
GP does us all a great service in pointing out how the Left is eroding all that we hold dear.
