Before going to break this afternoon FOX News host Shepard Smith blasted National Chick-fil-A day as National Day of Intolerance.
NewsBusters reported:

Shep Smith obviously does not have much regard for the First Amendment.
Much of the uproar over the Chick-fil-A controversy was not the fact that one of the owners does not approve of gay marriage, rather it was because his company was being persecuted because he expressed his First Amemdment rights. Shep believes Americans should be persecuted for expressing their beliefs when they differ from his own.
Screw you, Shep Smith.

    The last time that I watched Shep Smith was when he was in Israel, up on the Lebanese border during the war a couple of summers back, broadcasting live in such a way that the Lebanese firing rockets into Israel could use his broadcast for targeting purposes. He got kicked from the war reporting gig because of it.

    Has anybody else noticed how far on the liberal-left side of the political spectrum that Fox TV’s Shepard Smith appears to be? This “Shepardista” is as “fair and balanced” as the Sandinista Communists were for freedom and democracy in Nicaragua. Not!!

    I don’t have a problem with a liberal-leftist on Fox TV. But I object to their claim that “news anchor” Shepard Smith is a “fair and balanced” reporter. Time and again he editorializes in favor of the liberal left position – whether it is as an advocate of their views or in attacking the conservative position.{………..}

    Shepard Smith uses sarcasm and opinion sneakily camouflaged as fact to constantly denigrate the conservative position as if he is reporting facts. All the while pretending to be reporting the news “fair and balanced.”

    I’d noticed this before but only started taking notes in the last week, wondering if this is a pattern. It is. You judge, from my notes.

    A coalition of black ministers is not happy with Barack Obama because of his gay marriage support. You know, Democrats are talking about putting a plank in the party platform supporting gay marriage. The White House is not saying anything about that. But there is a black minister out there, the Reverend Williams Owens. He’s the head of the Coalition of African-American Pastors, and he said, “For the president to bow to the money as Judas did for Jesus Christ is a disgrace and a shame.” He was referring to Obama doing an about-face regarding gay marriage and the millions of dollars in campaign donations that the flip-flop earned him. We have the audio sound bites. Yesterday in Washington, the National Press Club, the Coalition of African-American Pastors held a presser to launch a nationwide campaign opposing Obama’s support of gay marriage.     I see no reason why marriage should be redefined to cover a union that nearly every society throughout history has defined to be that between a man and a woman.

    I do not object to the societal development of a same sex analogue to marriage, but it must have its own distinct name and customs.

    Haven’t watched Fox in several years, since the Saudis started buying up big chunks of the company and “fair and balanced” started to be lots less balanced.
