Shepard Smith Slams “National Chick-fil-A Day” As National Day of Intolerance (Video)

Before going to break this afternoon FOX News host Shepard Smith blasted National Chick-fil-A day as National Day of Intolerance.
NewsBusters reported:

Shep Smith obviously does not have much regard for the First Amendment.
Much of the uproar over the Chick-fil-A controversy was not the fact that one of the owners does not approve of gay marriage, rather it was because his company was being persecuted because he expressed his First Amemdment rights. Shep believes Americans should be persecuted for expressing their beliefs when they differ from his own.
Screw you, Shep Smith.

Don’t like Shep. He really isn’t my CUP OF TEA.

  • Granny

The last time that I watched Shep Smith was when he was in Israel, up on the Lebanese border during the war a couple of summers back, broadcasting live in such a way that the Lebanese firing rockets into Israel could use his broadcast for targeting purposes. He got kicked from the war reporting gig because of it.

    Shep is a loonatic.

  • Marie

This coming from a gay man. Gee, what a shock.

  • Ragspierre

    I know it isn’t…like…objective…

but if I every saw Shep on the street, I’d just naturally have to beat him into the sidewalk.

    Call it a personality flaw…

Is Fox TV Shepard Smith “fair and balanced” or a liberal-left Shepardista?

Has anybody else noticed how far on the liberal-left side of the political spectrum that Fox TV’s Shepard Smith appears to be? This “Shepardista” is as “fair and balanced” as the Sandinista Communists were for freedom and democracy in Nicaragua. Not!!

    I don’t have a problem with a liberal-leftist on Fox TV. But I object to their claim that “news anchor” Shepard Smith is a “fair and balanced” reporter. Time and again he editorializes in favor of the liberal left position – whether it is as an advocate of their views or in attacking the conservative position.{………..}

Shepard Smith uses sarcasm and opinion sneakily camouflaged as fact to constantly denigrate the conservative position as if he is reporting facts. All the while pretending to be reporting the news “fair and balanced.”

I’d noticed this before but only started taking notes in the last week, wondering if this is a pattern. It is. You judge, from my notes.

When he is replaced and that is often I will watch. But those two hour of Shep make me ILL. So, I turn the channel faster than lightening.

Black Pastor Calls Obama “Judas” on Gay Marriage

A coalition of black ministers is not happy with Barack Obama because of his gay marriage support. You know, Democrats are talking about putting a plank in the party platform supporting gay marriage. The White House is not saying anything about that. But there is a black minister out there, the Reverend Williams Owens. He’s the head of the Coalition of African-American Pastors, and he said, “For the president to bow to the money as Judas did for Jesus Christ is a disgrace and a shame.” He was referring to Obama doing an about-face regarding gay marriage and the millions of dollars in campaign donations that the flip-flop earned him. We have the audio sound bites. Yesterday in Washington, the National Press Club, the Coalition of African-American Pastors held a presser to launch a nationwide campaign opposing Obama’s support of gay marriage. The Reverend Williams Owens spoke. Here is a portion of what he said.

It really deserves time this story is most interesting. And it will get legs.

  • Reno_Dave

I see no reason why marriage should be redefined to cover a union that nearly every society throughout history has defined to be that between a man and a woman.

I do not object to the societal development of a same sex analogue to marriage, but it must have its own distinct name and customs.

  • Practical Jane

Well, what else should we expect from Old Shep. He’s a FOX Liberal, which means he’s not fair and balanced. Actually you can leave out ‘fair and’ – he’s just not balanced. Probably lunches with Jemu Greene.

  • I quit watching Fox News when they began to go ‘progressive.’ By getting rid of Judge N., they have lost their conservative/libertarian listeners. They demonize anyone who refuses to compromise over to their progressive mentality. Fox News has watered down the truth so much that they actually facilitate the Hegelian Dialectic, which is a technique used by Fabian socialists to move the country further to the left and into ‘progressivism.’

Political correctness is practiced at Fox News. It is a soft form of despotism. Read the Drudge Report or Red if you want truth that is not watered down. And to Shepard Smith……. grow some male genitalia and support traditional marriage. The homosexuals are intolerant of my beliefs as well as saying that they are offended by what I believe. And somehow the political system and the media prostitutes (like Shepard Smith), grovel at the feet of the homosexual community while bashing God-fearing Christian conservatives.

    Go Lord and Gooo Chick-fil-A.

He’s not alone. Plenty of capos to be found in the studios of all non-independent media,

Why is it that gays, who constantly tell us to celebrate the fact that they are different than “breeders”, want to change the word “marriage” so that they can be just like a married man and woman?

    Patty commented:

Obama is in serious trouble. These pastors mean business and every time the gay marriage comes up on ballots it is a big no among Blacks. They feel Obama has betrayed them. And their words yesterday were never deviating: OBAMA HAS MADE ONE BIG MESS FOR HIMSELF.

Limbaugh takes on Shep Smith’s ’21st century’ reaction to Obama gay marriage announcement

“Republicans on the wrong side of history — our country has finally hit the 21st century, according to Shep Smith,” Limbaugh said. “Republicans without much question on the wrong side of history, without much question at all, wrong side of history. Shep, where has the issue won? Where has it emerged victorious, Shep, outside your house? Where has this issue won an election? Let me know what state, tell me where it has happened, even California.”

Limbaugh referred to Baier’s response to Smith, in which Baier mentioned a Gallup Poll showing a 52/48 divide on the issue. However, Baier does note wherever it has been put to a vote in statewide referendums, gay marriage has lost overwhelmingly.

“Exactly right,” Limbaugh said. “What are you going to look at, Shep? You going to look at the polls or you want to look at the votes? Shep, did you even hear what he said? Nothing has changed. It is still up to ‘the hicks and the hayseeds’ in the states.”

That was the most obviously biased comment I’ve heard from Smith but he makes lots of snide comments; not hard to figure out he should be working over at MSNBC. OWENS: The president is in the White House because of the civil rights movement, and I was a leader in that movement, and I didn’t march one inch, one foot, one yard, for a man to marry a man and a woman to marry a woman. So the president has forgotten the price that was paved for the president to bow to the money, as Judas did for Jesus Christ, is a disgrace, and we are shamed. We will not take it back, we will not back down.

Another very important point I think that needs to be made is if you watch the men who have been caught having sex with little boys, you will note that all of them will say that I was molested as a child, a man molested me in my home, wherever, they will say they were molested. And for the president to condone this type thing, knowing the full facts is just irresponsible.

RUSH: Reverend Williams Owens was quoted by Fox. “Some people saying that because of the position Chick-fil-A is taking, they don’t want ’em in their cities. That is a disgrace. It’s the same thing that happened when I was marching for civil rights, when they didn’t want a black to come into their restaurant.” Williams Owens talking about Rahm Emanuel in Chicago.

Shep hasn’t got a damn thing to say about Islam.

They stone gays, hang gays, beat gays, and imprison gays on a weekly basis.

    Shep is a COWARD.

  • TJexcite

So has Shep came out of the closet yet. He would but then he would be killed as gays are killed if they work at FOX, Oh wait that is just Iran or Indonesia.

  • Patty

And for the president to condone this type thing, knowing the full facts is just irresponsible.

At that moment after Owen made comment the journalists couldn’t wait to ask: Are you saying Obama condones Molestation of children. Owens said, NO, but he went on to say homosexual activity in some was a part of child molestation or could have been. But he suggested that this is not the beliefs of the Black Community and it is against the Bible’s belief. Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve, kind of thing.

  • Time

That’s right Schlep Smith, we are intolerant of YOU !!!!! We no longer want to hear your sarcasm , your whine, your whimp and your intolerance of the morally correct majority. We are fed up with your nastiness, your stance on entitlement, as if we must bow to your superiority, as if you are something special. Well Schlep, your not anything special. Your just an arrogant, sarcastic, jerk. Who thinks because you have a slot on prime time that you can force your opinions onto every other that disagrees with your warped mind. The same with those elites in Washington, far left freakanoids, that believe because they sit in a position of elected power they are therefore superior in thought, control and manner. They are anything but just like you.

It is time all of you understand that we are not going to take it any more, we are not listening any more, we are are going to rise up and undo everything that you freaks think you control and believe you control. We are taking your license to think away, your license to drive the polls, your licence to control the masses. We are taken it all out from under your sorry butts that have lost sight of what it is to be an American and what this nation was founded on, Christian beginnings. You want to sell your souls to the devil, and recreate your lives according to Adam and Adam , well you go ahead and do so, but leave the rest of us alone and stop forcing us to believe that your sin is our sin, that your life is our life and your love is our love. We do not love what you love, we do not with you, we do not live under your rules. We live under Gods rules and the laws he has set. So I suggest you get the hell out of our way soon because we are coming back to knock you and every one else off that pedestal that they think they own and look down from. We are taking back the nation that was given to us… Not given to few to rule the rest…

How many times does Shep have to “step in it” before Fox gets rid of him. His ignorance stands out like a sore thumb on that network. Shep comes on…..I change the channel.

  • I guess Smith prefers tolerance for child porn.

‘A horrifying child pornography and molestation scandal involving a high profile San Francisco gay rights activist has rocked the city’s political scene; compounding the nightmare, the scandal broke at the worst possible moment, the day after San Francisco’s Pride Parade, which was the culmination of a month-long public relations blitz promoting LGBT equality. The publicity efforts of thousands of people were negated and even reversed by the actions of one man.

The San Francisco Examiner, SFWeekly, the San Francisco Chronicle and various LGBT blogs have all published exposés in the last few hours, each with exclusive information.

WARNING: The following descriptions may be too upsetting for some readers. Proceed with caution.

San Francisco police have arrested veteran gay rights advocate Larry Brinkin in connection with felony possession of child pornography.

Brinkin, 66, who worked for the San Francisco Human Rights Commission before his retirement in 2010, was taken into custody Friday night. He spent the night in jail before he was released on bail, according to a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s department.

The district attorney’s office will decide Tuesday whether to file charges. “We’re still reviewing the case,” district attorney’s spokeswoman Stephanie Ong Stillman said Monday.

Police say that Brinkin had pornographic images, some that appear to show children as young as 1 and 2 or 3 years old being sodomized and performing oral sex on adult men, in e-mail attachments linked to his account, according to a search warrant served by San Francisco police.’

Doesn’t sound like something most Americans including Chick-Fil-A support.

  • Fuquay Steve

All I want to see is Shep Smith screaming for the federal gov’t to do something about the intolerance atop a cardboard box during a hurricaine….Oh wait, he’s already done that. Never mind.

The topic of legalizing weed is debatable, but that’s just an asinine comment. I’m 23 so I speak out of recent memory, when I was in high school I could get booze just as easy as I could get weed.

The intolerant are intolerant of anyone having a different opinion or belief from theirs. They are a bunch of narcissists; they really think they are something. Liberal [Progressive] Nonsense of the Day:
The War Against Chick-fil-A Rages On Edition

[I can’t help but find a glaring hypocrisy here. To my understanding, the main issue the left seems to take with Chick-fil-A’s stance is that it is, supposedly, “intolerant.” However, the threat of violence as a means to thwart a peaceful show of support by buying chicken sandwiches seems incredibly intolerant. So, like I’ve asked so many, many times before, who is really the intolerant side of this debate?

Imagine, for a second, if 1/100th of the controversy surrounding Chick-fil-A had surrounded JC Penney in the wake of their support for same-sex couples. Imagine if a bomb threat had been called into a JC Penney to thwart the show of support by customers. Would that have been acceptable? Furthermore, would such fascist, strong-arm tactics have remained in obscurity, like the Chick-fil-A bomb threat has? It seems to me there is a double-standard here.

Buy Chick-fil-A. Or don’t. Shop at JC Penney. Or don’t. Everyone has a right to their opinion. We cannot afford to become a society where unpopular speech is censored, hindered or the speaker otherwise punished. “Tolerance” needs to move beyond a liberal buzzword and needs to start being practiced by those who preach it. Tolerance means tolerating a viewpoint other than your own, it does not mean to coerce or extort others into agreement with you. Most importantly, we must strive to be the kind of society that tolerates all speech, and as Voltaire claims, be willing to fight for the right for all people to express their opinion.]

unfortunately for the rest of US, facts, logic and common
sense does not reign supreme amongst progressives..
