Oh, Good Grief!… As Unemployment Rate Climbs Team Obama Says Economy Is Improving

As the unemployment rate continues to climb and hovers over 8.0% for 41 straight month, the Obama White House says the economy is improving.
(And of course the lib media agrees!)

Reuters reported:
The White House said on Friday that data showing U.S. hiring increased in July showed the economy was continuing to recover, and stressed the jobless rate was “essentially unchanged” despite its rise from 8.2 percent to 8.3 percent.
“Today’s employment report provides further evidence that the U.S. economy is continuing to recover from the worst downturn since the Great Depression,” Alan Krueger, chairman of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, said in a statement.
He also noted that although the unemployment rate ticked up, “more precisely, the rate rose from 8.217 percent in June to 8.254 in July.” President Barack Obama, who is running for re-election in November, is under pressure to convince voters his policies are helping the economy.

Obama is claiming every job reported by the BLS to be created monthly, adding it to his 4+ million total. What he doesn’t say is that the population has increased about 8 million during his presidency. Nor does he talk about the huge increase in food stamp expenditures and other government handouts at the same time.

The Dhimmeroids took some 20+ years to do it by way of the Community Reinvestment Act and several horrible ‘updates’ along with Chicago style threats to the kneecaps of mortgage lenders leading to thousands upon thousands of loans to incompetent borrowers of color.
This was exacerbated by the Fed artificially keeping rates at ridiculously low values to monitize this effort at ‘affordable housing’. Finally the Dhimmeroid appointees at Fannie and Freddie committed felony crimes in packaging these ‘f’ rated loans into AAA debt packages they flogged to the investment banks. As predictable as the sun coming up, this bubble finally collapsed as soon as some economic pressure was put upon it.
THEN CAME BARRY. A President and Congress with any bit of intelligence could have looked at the past and pulled out economic tools that would have started us on the road to recovery. Instead we got a Marxist-redistributionist cabal that saw a golden opportunity to effect converging stupidities – Barry wants to bring America low in revenge for our fictional role in colonial Africa and Southeast Asia, and the Congress wants to buy more votes.
Obysmal didn’t cause it but he sure made it worse. He had help.

Another fact: 1/3 of the “official” unemployment rate of
8.3%, being 2.7%, is ABOVE what the administration
predicted if there were NO “stimulus” spending.

He has also not taken into consideration in the unemployment numbers the total of people who have depleted their unemployment benefits and are no longer part of the statistics. Rate is of unemployment is probably about 14 to 15% unemployment (maybe even higher).

They’re correct from a certain point of view. If a storage tank full of water develops a leak at a seam of five gallons a minute, and measures are taken that slow it down to one gallon a minute, then technically it’s an “improvement”, even though ground is still being lost. . .much like Obie’s economy.
