Too late. You know one of Barack’s minions has informed one of Der Fuhrer’s agencies to the whereabouts of the video. It’ll be on right after the skinny dipping kerfluffel and another Akin hit piece that Brian Williams has planned tonight.
The address at the end of the video, which is on Lincoln Ave. @ Diversey, is in the Lakeview/Lincoln Park/DePaul Univ neighborhood. It’s an area of upscale young professionals, college students, blues clubs, and the southern edge of “Boystown.” All in all, an interesting locale to choose for a Republican HQ.
I don’t get the concern. It’s kids. So what?
I thought there was something bad here.
yeah, it’s sugary syrupy-sap,
reminded me of our pop generation’s 7-Up and Dr Pepper TV commercials
y’never noticed the oldsters in the audience when The Beatles were on Ed Sullivan?
well, we’re the oldsters now and I’m glad that there are kids who GET IT!
not my cup o’ tea, but so what! sure beats the regimented Obot brigades.
If a Democrat law maker is found in a compromising situation with a minor at a rest stop and no one blogs about it did it really happen?
Why is everyone talking about Akin and no one talking abut Gauthier. Jim it’s time to play by their playbook and quit playing into their hand. Play offense not defense. This is the story our side should be pushing today.
I think you need a re-check…… This is the hip thing to do in 2012, cover “Call Me Maybe”. Obama would be CRAZY to try to do a take-down on young people doing a cute, clever call-out for volunteers, Republican or not, by making fun of this.
The OFA people are too in tune, IMHO, to try it. They would further push away the young vote if they try to demonize young people covering this song.
Very well done, IMHO. And, funny, too. We need more of this, not less; don’t decry the young, enthusiastic ACTIVE people for being HAPPY and clever.
[GO boasted this past week that its family of Facebook pages –
with names like “We Like Small Government” and “Gas Prices Are
too D— High” – have topped over 4 million “likes” and growing,
fueled by a young demographic that polls show is increasingly
disillusioned with Obama’s economic policies.
“Every day, young Americans search for meaningful, full-time jobs
in a career of their choice and, instead, experience first-hand the
stark reality imposed by the poor economy,” states Paul. T. Conway,
president of GO and a former chief of staff of the U.S. Department
of Labor. “Rather than resorting to pessimism, however, young
adults are taking a harder look at who and what is creating barriers
to economic opportunity.
“Increasingly, they identify elected officials and policies that result in
more government interference,” Conway continues. “As they continue
to deal with the highest sustained unemployment since World War II,
Millennials have definitely concluded that government intervention in
the economy is the problem, not the solution.”]

1. Why post it if you’re concerned?
2. I didn’t think the vid was that bad. The kids are young. They have energy and passion. It’s ok.
Zilla commented:
I think it’s cute.
Chip Bennett commented:
Heh. That is AWESOME!
Just more evidence of the enthusiasm-gap deficit that Obama faces.

Starts slow. Starts kind of goofy. But by the end it has a good beat and is kind of catchy. I give this song an EIGHT.
