That didn’t take long.
CNN’s Candy Crowley led off the attacks against Paul Ryan today saying,
“This looks a little bit like some sort of ticket death wish.”

CANDY CROWLEY, CNN: We’ve already had this debate. All they have to do at Obama Reelect is open up the files because this debate has already happened. They just bring it back, it goes, it is, you know, what they talk about. But I think the other thing that’s worth pointing out is not every Republican has signed on to this kind of, I mean, they will publicly. But there is some trepidation…
GLORIA BORGER, CNN: They’re afraid.
CROWLEY: …that this might be, looks a little bit like some sort of ticket death wish. That, oh, my gosh, do we really want to talk about these thing? Is this where we want to go when the economy is so bad? We could have stayed on that.
UPDATE: Andrea Mitchell added this at MSNBC, “This is a base election. This is not a pick for suburban moms, this is not a pick for women.”

I knew Candy was related to the infamous satanic BEAST Aleister Crowley. Those interviews with David Axelrod where Candy plays the defense advocate of Romney on the tax attack are just reverse psychology mind games. The Pinocchio Test
Lay aside the question of whether Romney left active management of Bain in 1999 or 2001. The fact that Soptic’s wife died five years after the closure of the plant — and that she had had her own health insurance for a period after he lost his job — makes her passing largely irrelevant to Romney’s involvement in this transaction.
Yes, people without health insurance are less likely to survive cancer. Yes, Soptic lost his health insurance when the plant closed. Yes, Romney was involved in the deal at the beginning. But still…it kind of reminds us of the so-called “butterfly effect” — that a storm starts with the flapping of a butterfly’s wings.
As we noted, a case could be made that Bain’s involvement extended the life of a dying steel plant, in which case Soptic kept his insurance longer than he might have expected.
Soptic is welcome to his opinion on possible reasons for his wife’s death, but that does not mean Obama supporters should exploit it. On just every level, this ad stretches the bounds of common sense and decency.

President Obama’s claim that insurance premiums ‘will go down’
The Pinocchio Test
The president asserted that because of the law, small business
and individual premiums “will go down.” But the reality is much
more complicated than that.
The law’s provisions, especially the requirement for essential benefits,
will almost certainly increase premiums, though tax subsidies will help
mitigate the impact for a little over half of the people in the exchanges.
But a lot of other people — such as a young male who currently has a
plan that does not include all of the required benefits — are likely going
to have sticker shock when they see what happens to their premiums
starting in 2014.
As we said, you don’t get something for nothing. And the president
should be more careful about suggesting that is the case, especially
when discussing a complex law with still-uncertain ramifications.
