It’s being called the best political ad in 30 years.
The Romney Camp released “These Hands” today in response to President Obama’s Roanoke rant against small business owners.

“These Hands”

Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy. But President Obama’s comments last week show that he just doesn’t understand who the real job creators are. How can he help small businesses when he doesn’t even recognize their value?

The Hill reported:

“The nearly two minute-long ad features the owner of a New Hampshire metal fabricating company who criticizes Obama’s comments.

“Did somebody else take out the loan on my father’s house to finance the equipment? . . . Through hard work and a little bit of luck we built this business. Why are you demonizing us for it? We are the solution, not the problem. It’s time we had someone who believes in us. . . . We need somebody who believes in America.”

“President Obama, you’re killing us out here… Why are you demonizing us for it? We are the solution, not the problem. It’s time we had somebody who believes in us, someone who believes that achievement should be rewarded, not punished.”

Democrats have argued Romney is taking Obama’s comments out of context.

Democrats are hoping that you believe Obama didn’t say that.
Good luck with that, libs.

  1. Bammy didn’t say what you heard him say. You just think he said what you heard him say, but he really didn’t say that.

  2. It’s America, or NOT, this election. If the O-Beast gets 4 more years he will destroy the last 200+. His hero is Mao, who kept “change” coming so fast that no one could regroup and stop it. Remind you of anyone? Obama wants to succeed in creating a “cultural revolution” here in similar fashion. He has carefully laid his plans. If he is not stopped now, no one will be able to stop him.

Romney CAN defeat this man and his team if you and I help. The choice is clear. Make your own notebook of talking points based on the facts and speak with friendly confidence. People WILL listen.

  3. I like these ad, but they need to make them shorter.

  4. That was a damn fine ad because it is absolutely true and sincere.Playing Obama words where he was laughing in the face of hardworking people like the guy in that ad was extra infuriating.

I would like to see more ads like this.
Maybe somebody can sponsor a “What’s my fair share?” campaign where they show small business people one after another standing in front of their businesses with all their employees asking Obama if they are contributing enough.

  5. “Democrats have argued Romney is taking Obama’s comments out of context. ”

In context: Spoken to a group of extreme leftards.

Out of context: Repeated so that everyone else can hear them, even and especially those who will adamantly disagree and even be justifiably offended.

  6. Let me be clear, you did not built those bridges and roads… {whisper.. whisper} ah, crap they did!

I didn’t know that steel went in to bridges or that concrete trucks are made of steel. That is a new one on me! I thought the government made steel and those concrete hauling Thing-A-MA-Jigs!

OK, I suck! But, just give me for more years and I assure you that I will bankrupt you. Give me you money and medical records. Vote for me! Good day!

  7. #5 NeoKong – I like the idea; who will step up ’cause I’d send a donation …

  8. Obama seems to think that people who start up their own business were given free loans, a free education, paid no taxes, and were successful primarily from government largess. Unless one has lived the life of “Julia” the whole time, correct me if I’m wrong, but those entrepeneurs paid interest on their loans, paid local taxes for their public education, paid taxes to help pay for the roads and other intrastructure that governments are expected to do. And guess what, if the government didn’t didn’t do what is expected, the general welfare clause, private entities would have created them.

Now if you want to talk about someone who has had more help than the average person in succeeding, Obama need look no further then himself. Maybe that’s why he thinks everyone has succeeded by government benevolence. I’d be curious how a poor, half-black child without two nickels to rub together was able to enter Columbia and Harvard and take an around the world trip in his younger years without this so called help that isn’t available to others.

  9. Don’t they compare O to Reagan?

You can’t take anything Reagan ever said out of context, because it was rock solid pure Conservatism.

The mask slipped again for our marxist-in-chief, and once again the MSM has to scurry around and try to clean up his mess.

  10. #9- and someone who is nowhere near as smart as he thinks and who works much less any other president in recent times….

  11. Obama and his fellow leftists think that companys owe their success to the infrastructure and public education;….well they are wrong. America was great long before there was a Dept. of Education, long before there was an Interstate hwy system, even before there was a transcontinental railroad.

What built this great nation was the pioneer spirit, and the freedom to risk everything in the hope of fortune at the end of your journey. The American dream is not to just own a home, but to achieve wealth for your family. People came to this land to escape the poverty that their rulers subjected them to. Now Obama wants to change all that. Well screw you Obama.

  12. “The devil always overplays his hand…”

Just give Obama enough time and take away his teleprompter and he will eventually tell you what he really thinks. He just did.

We are 4 months from the election and the Democrats are out of bullets. Bain isn’t working. Tax returns aren’t working. Lies aren’t working. By the way, has any Presidential candidate in history ever suggested his opponent was “either a liar or a felon”? Ever?

The one thing Obama had going for him was his charm. Now he has lost that.

Lucky for us, the Democrats will never solve this problem because even now, they do not believe they are wrong. They will never give up on their Marxist dream. It is their religion.

  13. Obama has no choice. To raise money he MUST pander to the far left. He cannot triangulate. It is too late for that.

  14. AMAZING!

The brand new NPR poll showing Obama leading by 2 comes right out and says, “We gave Democrats a 7 point advantage in the sample,” right after they said, “This sample has been weighted to reflect the electorate nationally.”

So they actually believe there are 7% more Democrats than Republicans nationally? Really?

  15. Last week, the number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly increased 34,000 to a seasonally adjusted 386,000. The prior week’s figure was revised up to 352,000 from the previously reported 350,000.

Obama creates an atmosphere that is bad for business. As a result, well over a million people file for unemployment payments every month.

  16. #4 LilyBart, I agree with your comment they need to make them shorter. While I like viewing these they need to be ads on TV.

  17. Here’s another aspect of the ‘you didn’t make your success by yourself’ thinking, that those who succeed are not solely responsible for their success:

If success is not to their credit, likewise, those who fail can’t be held responsible for their failure: it ‘s not their fault.

This is a thinking that denies personal responsibility and accountability, and it’s a pillar of socialism.

It refutes the work ethic, denies the honor of personal effort, excuses laziness and promotes irresponsibility.

This thinking is entirely unBiblical, and anti-American.

I am grateful that Mr. Obama is speaking his honest thoughts.

    Sincerely, Peter Warner.

  18. Just our of curiosity, where are these ads playing? The only place I see them is on the intertubes, and we know that most people don’t get their news online. (Although that number is increasing every day.)

And I agree with Lilybart above. They must be shorter. There’s a reason that very few four minute songs make it to Top 40 (or 30) radio. People have a VERY short attention span.
