Go figure. Obama pal Richard Trumka says “freedom” is used to “dupe the public.”

ABC
AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka celebrates Independence Day today by bashing freedom.
The Examiner reported:
AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka has a 4th of July-themed column in the Huffington Post musing on the word freedom and how it is interpreted by the Republican Party. His conclusion is that they use the word to con people.
Let’s call this right-wing “freedom” catch phrase what it really is: a grossly political strategy to dupe the public, which holds the word “freedom” as something sacred.
According to Trumka, giving people or groups freedom in how they conduct their affairs is a bad idea because they might make the wrong decision… Like maybe opting out of paying union dues.
Membership in the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees – Wisconsin’s second-largest public-sector union – was cut in half when members were given the “freedom” to choose to belong to the union or not.

Go preach to your sheeple Commie. Americans don’t need lessons from Marxists on freedom. Unions, like the american left, soon to be extinct. After November, on to the universities.

Trumka is insignificant. Unionism is dead. It cut its own wrist.
American Patriot commented:
We can’t have people being free to think for themselves now, can we. They just might start to question our authority.

It will be a cold day in Hell before I take lessons about freedom from commie scum like Richard Trumka.
Or Barack Obama, for that matter.
Valerie commented:
Unionism isn’t dead. Unions can and do serve a useful purpose. Unions have to be kept honest, though, and the way to do that is to pass right to work laws.

the democratic party definition is better. subjugation to the party.

PPACA Waivers and the Roberts Decision
[The Obama administration granted more than 1600 waivers over
compliance with parts of the Patient Protection Affordable Care
Act. The Supreme Court ruling that the individual mandate is a
tax will not affect the waivers, as they dealt with what kind of
insurance people have, not whether they have it. The ruling,
and the waivers, point us directly to the disaster that awaits
the country unless the PPACA is fully repealed.]

No, you thug communist, you “sombrero of all asshats”*, you steaming pile of feces — we hold FREEDOM as something sacred. Not just the word.
You and your kind, you seem to think that “freedom” means the freedom to subjugate and control others, just like you bastards did in the 1800′s: How dare you take away our freedom to buy and sell human beings for slavery!
Trumka can go schtupp himself with a 50′ reinforced concrete phallus.

Did you all know that the noun “Soviet” translates into English as the noun “local”?
As in, International Brotherhood of D*ckheads, Thugs, and Lazy F*cks Local 235.
Now you know.

Hold freedom sacred? You bet your sweet behind I do. I thank my ancestors who put it all on the line for freedom.
Happy Independence Day, everyone! And yes, I will be flying the flag in front of my house just south of Berkeley and just East of San Francisco.
