Ouch!… Former Obama Donor Holds High Dollar Fundraiser for Romney with Former Obama Donors

Protesters meet Romney donors in the Hamptons.

Former Obama donor Ronald Perelman, the chairman of Revlon, is not supporting Barack Obama this year… And he just held a high dollar fundraiser for Mitt Romney in the Hamptons.
Mondoweiss reported:
The New York Times reports that Romney had a big fundraiser at Revlon chairman Ron Perelman’s house in the Hamptons over the weekend.

But just four years ago, Perelman maxed out for Barack Obama. according to federal records.

Why the change? Well, Perelman has also given a lot to Orthodox Jewish causes, and the Times says one of the people coming to Perelman’s house for the fundraiser had Israel on her mind:

A woman in a blue chiffon dress poked her head out of a black Range Rover here on Sunday afternoon and yelled to an aide to Mitt Romney, “Is there a V.I.P. entrance. We are V.I.P.”…

Laura R. Schwartz of New Jersey, the woman inside the Range Rover, complained that Mr. Obama had not visited Israel as president, a slight to the country, in her eyes. “I don’t think he is good for Israel,” she said. Mr. Romney, she said, “is a fresh face.”

Perelman was not the only former Obama supporter at the fundraiser. An estimated twenty-five percent of the attendees were former Obama supporters.
The LA Times reported:

Sharon Zambrelli voted for Obama in 2008 but has been disappointed with his handling of the economy and leadership style. “I was very disenchanted with the political process and he gave me hope,” she said, but ultimately: “He’s just a politician,” she said, an “emperor with no clothes.”

The Zambrellis scoffed at attempts by the Democrats — who mocked Romney in an ad Sunday as “great for oil billionaires, bad for the middle class” — to wage class warfare. “Would you like to hear about the fundraisers I went to for him?” Sharon Zambrelli said of Obama. “Do you have an hour? … All the ones in the city — it was all of Wall Street.”

“It’s not helping the economy to pit the people who are the engine of the economy against the people who rely on that engine,” Michael Zambrelli said as the couple waited in their SUV for clearance into the Creeks shortly after the candidate’s motorcade flew by and entered the pine-tree lined estate. “He’s basically been biting the hand that fed him in ’08. … I would bet 25% of the people here were supporters of Obama in ’08. And they’re here now.

Brad Pitt’s mom bullied into silence

[Jane Pitt, mother of actor Brad Pitt, has been scared into silence by the
hate-filled, vulgar and even violent reaction to her public assertion that
Barack Obama is “a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and
    same-sex marriage.”

Pitt has even been the subject of death threats following her letter to

Rubes in that they didn’t see who Obama was in 2008, not for supporting Romney.

  • Mad Hatter

Be careful about seeing these former Obama supporters moving to Romney. Remember kids, if Mitt wins, they’ll want something in return for their “investment”, and it won’t be for the betterment of the Country.

    Better late than never?

They seem to take it seriously, just not that seriously. I think it’s because they still watch television news. The Liberal Sedative Media.

This is just more proof that in the final act for Obama, he will be cast as toast.

Overall popularity is bad (don’t believe that poll at 47%. Bull, try 40% at best).
Economy is going to slow even more moving toward election day. We will see the true “zero” on November 6.

So, Soros shares his wisdom with us – for our own good, no doubt – and recommends that, since Romney is nearly identical to BO, we might as well re-elect BO.

What a relief! I’ve been stressed for quite some time over the possibility that BO might get a second term, continue his demolition agenda, and bring my country past the point where we can repair his damage within my lifetime, but learning that Soros recommends that I stop worrying has lifted that heavy burden from my shoulders!

Whew! Thanks for bringing me that news! God, I feel like a new, stress-free, relaxed and happy man once again!

Romney was my last choice, but Holy cow he’s no Obama. We need him to step up and call Obama out on some of his hidden agendas (not so much anymore) and to ask he release all his records, school, etc. and watch the volcano blow. This election would be over tomorrow if they get him to publicly explode.

In the land of “mentally unstable”

[When the news reached the Twitterverse that a man was burnt
alive in Bahawalpur, it just created a cycle of shock and disbelief.
Very regretfully, this scribe was not shocked one bit. Knowing full
well, what we are capable of and how low we have stooped in the
past, this was just part of the ongoing continuum.

The irony of the matter is, that a person who was supposedly and
reportedly, mentally unstable was found desecrating the pages of Holy
Quran. I am no religious scholar, but from what little I know about my
faith, such individuals are exempt from all religious obligations, such as
prayer, fasting, alms etc. The basis of course is, that these people are
not able to decipher between the right and wrong due to their state of
mind. Similarly, even the sane people are prohibited from praying, if they
are under the influence of any substance, as it mirrors an unstable mind.
Hence to expect discretion from such a person is absolutely futile.

The irony of the matter is, that otherwise sane people who perhaps
lead normal lives, were unable to differentiate between a deranged
and a normal person. When the deranged individual allegedly desecrated
the Holy Book, people were upset beyond belief. The basis of every
religion is Good. Good teaches us to maintain sanity at all times and
have an unyielding faith in our Creator. Let’s assume for a minute that
this allegedly blasphemous act was done by a sane person. What would
be the appropriate redress for such an act. Definitely not disobeying
the law and threatening police and ultimately burn the person to death.

A society that is so upset with its own shortcomings, failures and
internal fissures, tends to lean towards such barbaric acts. This
is in a way all the bottled up frustrations of self humiliation, which
erupt in such an inhumane manner on the most vulnerable elements
    and members of the society.

But wait why was I not surprised or impacted, as I said earlier. A
society that accepts people blown into pieces at places of worship
so regularly, where women parade without clothes as a punishment,
where rape and sodomy are protected to salvage the family honor,
where murderers are garlanded by those who are supposed to advocate
law and order and where religion is used and misused to silence dissent
must be truly INSANE. So in a land of mentally unstable, if one more
person was burnt alive why mourn this loss. Its not the first time that
this incident occurred and trust me, it would not be the last either.
Expecting sanity from an insane society is insanity, isn’t it?
    ]

    Amen to that..

    spot on, again!!

[Is America being literally tore apart by it’s politicians pandering from one
group to another? Will this splintering of the United States into segmented
groups that are all just worried about themselves instead of the general
good of the country going to ruin the greatest nation on Earth?

    [..]

Col West tells us how Obama would rather have people being salves to the
government than being empowered and taking care of themselves because
that helps him and his party politically despite the fact that it is ruining our
country. In typical Allen West style he stands firm on his choice of words.
This guy would make a great VP buy we doubt Gov Romney has the
    courage to pick him.]

I am curious – what is Oprah doing for Obama these days?

  • Machtyn

Some of these comments are funny.
    1. Romney is not a crony politician. He isn’t going to grease their hands after he is elected. Sure, the people going to these high dollar events want something. Mostly that is a better economy (which Romney knows how to deliver – see 59 points plan and stop saying he has no details – he does.)
    2. Obama is NO friend of Israel.
    3. FoxNews is NO friend of Romney’s. Don’t trust the MSM (Fox included), as they will karp Romney every chance they get.
    4. Romney has a winning game plan. He’s going to stick to it.
    5. Romney is doing FAR better against Obama at this point than Reagan did against Carter at this point. The similarities between the two races are striking.
    6. It is going to be a tight race to the end (mostly because of bad polling data – they are too heavy on the Democrats by using 2008 turnout data), but Romney is going to pull it out.
    7. Romney will be a great, Conservative President. He keeps his promises.

  • owl

#47 Successful is fine. I had just as soon take my medicine straight because some of us are so sick of the doublespeak. Poor people brains will say “rich” regardless of what you call it and that used to be something we all wanted.

I have watched the Obama’s live a very, very “rich” lifestyle and the taxpayer has been paying through the teeth for it. Not only can Michelle travel like a queen, they even send their young teenage daughter on the most expensive Spring Break ever.

I want the gloves to come off. Who paid for that Spring Break???? That is rich and I am so sick of The Professional Poop Scoopers lying and repeating Obama’s lies.

If that Spring Break does not represent the Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous, what does?

  • sandy

All the glitterati attended Obama’s fundraisers in 08 because it was the place to be. They ignored his friendships with leftist radicals because it wasn’t part of the carefully crafted persona he showed to those whose money he so desperately needed to gain the power to unleash the destruction of their way of life.

Those of us without the big bucks had to rely on our common sense to see the truth the first time around.

  • sandy

There are two reasons the polls still show Obama close. One is that his people want him to believe he can get a second term. Two Romney’s people who know the truth are content to play number two in order to keep Republican voters from becoming complacent.

At least we’re not voting a class clown back into office that keeps saying “Keynesian is good for the economy, eat that turd-flavored cereal!”

Hey if Romney is Bush 2, I welcome the notion. Why? At least Bush’s administration kept GDP-to-Debt ratio under 65% all of his 8 year’s. Obama skyrocketed it to over 100% in less than 4 years.

  • Kaitian

Fox News has only been interested in themselves and they’ve made their money and rating’s bashing Obama because it works. Put Romney in the White House, they’re worried about their ratings going down. In the end, who cares what the MSM station’s rating are. The only rating we should be worried about is America’s, not Rupert Murdoch’s. If he loses all his money today, we still wouldn’t care because it’s his own money.

    Dear Frank (#15):

In your comment you mentioned: RNME (Republican National Media Establishment)
decided …to attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008.

WTF is the Republican National Media Establishment?!?????!???? THERE IS NO SUCH THING! Are you referring to a website freerepublic.com, whom you mentioned? Earth to Frank, that website hardly qualifies as “Republican National Media Establishment,” as only hardcore political junkies on Twitter even know it exists!

There IS however, the Left-wing Media, aka Main Stream Media, represented by ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, NY Times, LA Times, Washington Post, etc., and it was THEY who attacked Gov. Palin and gave obama the keys to the White House. If you can be more specific about WHO the “Republican National Media Establishment” is, that would be great, I think we all need to know who this is!
