On Sunday Mitt Romney told supporters in Israel that Jerusalem was its capital.

This upset the Palestinians.

That’s not all…
Palestinian leaders called Mitt Romney a “racist” after he compared the Israeli culture favorably over the Palestinian culture of death.
USA Today reported:

Mitt Romney told Jewish donors Monday that their culture is part of what has allowed them to be more economically successful than the Palestinians, outraging Palestinian leaders who called his comments racist and out of touch.

“As you come here and you see the GDP per capita, for instance, in Israel which is about $21,000 dollars, and compare that with the GDP per capita just across the areas managed by the Palestinian Authority, which is more like $10,000 per capita, you notice such a dramatically stark difference in economic vitality,” the Republican presidential candidate told about 40 wealthy donors who breakfasted around a U-shaped table at the luxurious King David Hotel.

The reaction of Palestinian leaders to Romney’s comments was swift and pointed.

“It is a racist statement and this man doesn’t realize that the Palestinian economy cannot reach its potential because there is an Israeli occupation,” said Saeb Erekat, a senior aide to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

“It seems to me this man (Romney) lacks information, knowledge, vision and understanding of this region and its people,” Erekat added. “He also lacks knowledge about the Israelis themselves. I have not heard any Israeli official speak about cultural superiority.”

The economic disparity between the Israelis and the Palestinians is actually much greater than Romney stated. Israel had a per capita gross domestic product of about $31,000 in 2011, while the West Bank and Gaza had a per capita GDP of just over $1,500, according to the World Bank.

Unfortunately for the Palestinians, Romney did not travel to Israel to play footsie with Hamas and Fatah.

    Travel to Bethlehem, certainly a town with vast economic potential because of religious tourism – even there the standard of living is markedly lower than that of the Israelis. Jericho is an even starker contrast with historic mud-brick walls sitting naked to the elements; no utilization of the historic site; a nasty little town inhabited by indigent males, with ambition to merely sit and watch tourist dollars drive past.     Now, let me see . .. prior to 1919 all of the people who lived in the area that now comprises Israel AND Jordan (and a couple of other places) lived in the Ottoman Turkish province of Palestine, which had been the Roman province of Palestine long before that. When Israel gained independence in 1949, those currently living in what was to become Israel were all “palestinian.” Israeli’s can hardly be “racist” against their own grandparents LOL.

    On top of that, both the Jews and the Arabs are semitic people, very closely related. If you believe the Bible, this goes all the way back to Abraham’s two sons. If you would prefer to believe something more “modern” look no further than the early history of islam, when moslems slaughtered entire Jewish villages, save only the women, who they took as sex slaves. There is an awful lot of “kissing cousin” going on there genetically.
