President Obama Praises Self for Ending War in Iraq on Bloodiest Day of the Year in That Country

President Obama’s campaign today released a video praising the president for ending the war in Iraq. It turns out that today has proven to be the deadliest day of the year in that country.

A wave of attacks throughout Iraq – IEDs, explosions, and gunmen — has resulted in more than 100 people killed and more than 200 wounded.

Yesterday, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, al-Qaeda’s top leader in Iraq, released an audio message announcing, ”We are setting off a new stage of our struggle, with the launch of a plan named ‘breaking the walls.’”

   My homie spent 13 months in Baghdad doing an Army job (he is Navy) and he told me the Bad Dudes were just waiting for us to leave before the real war started – Sunni vs. Shiite. Both sides will conveniently forget that (1) the U.S. government was obligated to leave on Dec. 31, 2011, under an agreement signed by Bush, and (2) Obama tried his damnedest to get the Iraqi leaders to ask the U.S. military to stay. (Contrary to claims, not all troops have left.)

   And let’s be clear: An exit from Iraq hardly constitutes an exit from the Middle East. The troops moved down the road to Kuwait, “repostured” for future use.

    Here’s the beginning of a July 20 ABC News story on the shooting credited to Matthew Mosk, Brian Ross, Pierre Thomas, Richard Esposito, and Megan Chuchmach, after the editor’s note apologizing for Ross falsely implicating a member of the Colorado Tea Party:

    A California woman who identified herself as the mother of James Holmes, the 24-year-old man federal authorities said is the suspect in a mass shooting in an Aurora, Colorado movie theater, told ABC News her son was likely the alleged culprit, saying, “You have the right person.”

    The woman, contacted at her home in San Diego, spoke briefly with ABC News and immediately expressed concern her son may be involved in the shooting death of at least 12 people overnight.

    “You have the right person,” she said, apparently speaking on gut instinct. “I need to call the police… I need to fly out to Colorado.”

    When Bush was in the Whitehouse, it was non-stop reporting on attacks in Iraq; when Obama is in the Whitehouse, you can hear only the sound of crickets coming out of Iraq. The death toll in Afghanistan of U.S. troops is through the roof while Obama is in the Whitehouse in comparison to when Bush was in the Whitehouse. The media feeds the American people what they want them to hear…..nothing more and nothing less.

    He didn’t end it as early as he promised when he was campaigning for president. In fact, he really changed nothing that Bush hadn’t already setup before he left office with the Status Of Forces Agreement (SOFA) he signed with Iraq to leave by the end of 2011. Obama again showed he lacked creativity and inmagination in running things with this just as he did when he thought Bush’s tax rates were so good he went ahead and signed the same thing himself, which I now dub Obama’s tax cuts. Bush’s expired. Obama is a damn disgrace.

    Idiots. The SOFA (status of forces agreement) was signed and ratified before Obama was even elected in 08. The Iraqi parliament approved of the SOFA before then as well. Obama did nothing but follow the law that was set in place before he took office.

    The agreement ending the war was ratified during the Bush administration. Obama happened to be warming a chair in the Oval Office when that agreement was completed. It is more accurate to say it was Bush that ended the war. Obama’s part was essentially that of a bus boy. But people on the Left will buy this crap without bothering to read the agreement which specified the withdrawal date.
