Obama: “If the Election Were Held Today, We Would Win”

Barack Obama told supporters at another top-dollar fundraiser last night that if the election were held today he would win.
The Politico reported:
With 99 days until Election Day, President Obama is confident he’s in a winning position.
“If the election were held today, I think it would be close, but I think we’d win,” he said at a Monday night fundraiser here. ” And we now have 99 days left. If I can say that every day for the next 99 days, then we’ll be able to embark on the next phase of this journey.”
Obama acknowledged that there are plenty of “negative” and “contrast” ads coming from his campaign, but “when people start saying how terrible it is, I just have to remind them — take a look at what Jefferson and Adams had to say. Democracy’s always been pretty rough and pretty messy.”
“I’m confident that we are running a good campaign” and will continue to do so, but Democrats are “being outspent substantially,” he told 60 donors, who gave $40,000 each. Though Obama said he doesn’t anticipate being able to match them dollar-for-dollar, “we’re going to have to continue to compete … make sure that we can get our message out effectively.”
The president told Abner Mikva’s joke that having a friend in politics is like having a kid in college.

Politico has it wrong. Someone who “is confident he’s in a winning position” does not use obama’s tone or language. He even pleads for money like a loser.
He claims the election is close today and “thinks” he’ll win if the election is close each of the next 99 days. These are not the statements of a confident man. They are the wishful thinking of a con man who has fooled 60 “one-percenters” to throw good money into a furnace.

I would love to see the names on that list because I’m sure that somehow their money is pure unlike the evil SuperPac money that Karl Rove raised on the backs of the poor.

No, if the election were held today it would be an electoral blowout for Romney.
The recent Hill poll actually used a fair sample (35 R / 34D – yes, I know, I was shocked too!) and look what happened? Romney leads on every metric. Amazing what happens when you don’t stack the deck, isn’t it?
** And Romney has not even begun to spend his warchest of General Election money yet. After the debates and the pounding Obama is going to get on the airwaves, this will only get uglier.

When Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck can register to vote and do so along with the inhabitants of many cemeteries ( thank you St. Louis) they probably will win. If there is a vote shortage more can always be found in someones car trunk.

1) Have Justice Dept. sue states with Voter ID laws….Check
2) Put SEIU in charge of Voting Machines…..Check
3) Continue instructing MSM on how to smear Romney….Check
4) Use “Early Voting” to stuff ballot boxes with votes of illegal voters…..check
