Mitt Romney was booed today at the far left NAACP convention for claiming he would make things better for blacks than Obama will.
The truth hurts.
The unemployment rate among blacks jumped to 14.4% last month. Obama’s policies have increased black poverty.
More… Romney went on to tell the former rights group that Obama made it worse for you in almost every way.
They probably didn’t like that either.

At least they didn’t throw shoes at him
He got his message out, even if they (NAACP) weren’t listening
Joe commented:
A bunch of racists. Nothing he will say can make a difference. A huge waste of time.

Two options face America’s blacks:
Believe that pancakes grow on trees, if you just get on this ship and come to the plantation and serve the master.
or
Believe that the only things come from rolling up your sleeves, accepting personal responsibility, and working as EQUALS with the rest of us to make our communities better places.
As long as you stay on the plantation and serve an evil master, you are not my equal. Decide.

Start bringing up policies like NYC’s Stop and Frisk. It isn’t Obama’s policy per se, however, a Democratic Governor of NY, Attourney General Holder, and President Obama have done nothing to stop it, despite the disparate impact upon minorities.
Why bring Stop and Frisk up? To make the case for original intent. This policy is a clear violation of the Forth Amendment

I have to give Romney respect for trying. But the majority of blacks are still on hold mode.
They want to be oppressed they will, keep following the liberal radicalism cry by the left.

Romney Draws Boos After Hammering Obama on Black Unemployment, Health Care in NAACP Speech
So, draw all the boos but this will come to bit the blacks in the end. NO PUN INTENDED.
Blue Hen commented:
1. He defended traditional marriage, which drew applause.
2. The dear leader isn’t bothering to show up. he’s sending in the smartest man….In the World. Joe Biden.
bigkahuna commented:
He made a great attempt. They cant call him a racist for not showing. They treated him decent for most of it. I agree most wont get a clue but if a few do and start to look differently…it didnt hurt him to do so. Might help witrh independents too.
Patty commented:
They want all the bells and whistles that come from Government. They continue to need those hand outs. They want to live in poverty, so be it. But this is why we need Romney because he will stop the vicious cycle even if it takes two terms to do it.

Waste of time giving a speech to these bunch racists, who are not going to vote for you in the first place, because its more important to them, to vote for color of one’s skin ….

Romney Gets Standing Ovation From NAACP, But CNN Calls Reception ‘Very Negative’
By Matt Hadro | July 11, 2012 | 12:56
After Mitt Romney addressed the NAACP on Wednesday, CNN’s Jim Acosta focused on the boos he received from the audience without mentioning the crowd’s standing ovation and their applause scattered through the speech. Acosta simply reported a “very negative” reaction from the audience.
“[N]o question about it, this was a very negative reaction to what Mitt Romney had to say here earlier this morning,” he rounded out his post-speech report. However, NBC’s Garrett Haake tweeted that Romney got a standing ovation as he finished his speech, and National Review’s Jim Geraghty noted the cordial reception by the NAACP. [Video below the break. Audio here.]

Believe what you wish about Romney’s speech but their are two sides to everything.
Redwine commented:
He should have responded to the boos over O-Tax by asking them, “So you would rather pay a hefty tax for not buying your healthcare from the government?”
BTW – Romney got a standing ovation at the end of his NAACP speech.
Comrade Barry wouldn’t dare speak to members of the NAACP – not with his record in the black community. He’s sending Biden instead.

Before The Black Community Writes Off Romney They Should Consider Something…
Liberals are trying to mock Romney for his outreach to the black community, in particular his speech before the NAACP. Before they join in the mockery there’s something the black community should know… http://thelookingspoon.com/tlsimages/blog/2012/george_romney_marches_civil_rights.jpg

____
Absolutely NO it was not a waste of time. First, he showed that he had the guts to walk into the lion’s den. Secondly, he spoke his piece and didn’t let a bunch of bullies chase him away. That shows a lot of character, which we need in a president.

Governor George Romney supported Black Civil Rights. Will President Mitt?
—In 1963, George Romney gave the keynote address at the conference that sparked the Martin Luther King “Freedom Marches” in Detroit.
The first King event was the Metropolitan Conference on Open Occupancy, held in Detroit in January, 1963. The second was the Martin Luther King Freedom March, in June of the same year. According to Joe Darden, “the spin offs of [that march] were several Detroit NAACP-sponsored interracial marches into the Detroit suburbs.” (Detroit, Race and Uneven Development, by Joe T. Darden, 1987, pg 132. Time.com.)
Governor Mitt Romney’s father, George Romney, marched with Martin Luther King, Jr., showing clearly that he stood solidly in favor of Civil Rights.
The question about Mitt Romney is, does the apple fall far from the tree?
What real efforts will Mitt Romney make to show his connection to the civil rights movement that his father embraced in 1963?
Today the urban social programs created in the wake of the Civil Rights movement by Democratic leaders are subsidized by the states and counties. Rather than take responsibility for themselves, people in these communities depend on government, with local government subsidizing the self-aggrandizing programs of national Democrats.
Democrats have been playing the shell game for too long, taking more money out than they are helping the cities to bring in.[,,,]

Question: Did Romney need to show ID? {sarc}
donh commented:
Every day of this campaign is valuable. I worry Romney would make such waste of resources to speak here. He just makes himself look foolish….More foolish than a Jew breaking into Mecca to promise wider access to the Temple Mount. Does he really think ONE of these people will vote for him?…. Please do campaign hard for black votes…in the churches ….on the steps of city hall……but not at the socialist headquarters of the NAACP.
