Martha E. McSally is a pioneer. She is the first female fighter pilot to fly in combat, and first to command a fighter squadron in combat in United States history.
Martha is running for Congress in Arizona’s Second District.
Watch this– She’s terrific.
Today the McSally Campaign announced the endorsements from the entire Arizona Congressional delegation.
Martha McSally today announced the endorsements of the entire Republican Congressional Delegation from Arizona for her campaign in the 2nd District.
“I look forward to joining these Congressmen in the fight to solve some of our nation’s biggest problems – jobs, debt, spending, and health care” said McSally. “The campaign is just getting started again and there is a lot of work to be done. The support of the Arizona delegation will be a great resource to our Congressional race and will help build the team and campaign necessary to win and represent the 2nd District for smaller, smarter government.”
Congressmen Ben Quayle, Paul Gosar, David Schweikert and Jeff Flake eagerly backed the McSally team this week joining Congressman Trent Franks who called McSally, “the exact kind of principled fighter we need in Congress.”
“The most important issue we face right now is the economy and how our spending, debt and lack of fortitude has sent us spiraling down a path of high unemployment, high deficits and low confidence,” said McSally. “The 2nd District deserves a representative in Congress who has the education, proven leadership, energy, and moral courage to work towards pragmatic solutions to bring confidence and hope back to Southern Arizonans.”

A factor in jesse kelly’s TWO loses was his NOVICE nature and the many mis-statements and blunders he made in his campaigns as a result of that. Far more than kelly, mcsally is an ignorant novice whose knowledge of major political and economic issues, people and events is practically non-existent. This was abundantly clear from the debates amongst the Repub nominee contenders, kelly, mcsally, antenori and sitton. Barber, the d-cRAT socialist pelosi puppet in the new 2nd district, is probably salivating over the prospect of having mcsally as his next victim. If I were he, I would.
The Repubs, by letting let mcsally run in the Nov election, have, once again, confirmed their status as The Party of Stupid. They should have selected a candidate who is not only a solid conservative, but HAS ACTUALLY WON ELECTIONS. That would be Antenori.

Certainly, I would vote for her, were I living in her district.
Moreover, she obviously deserves our deep respect and thanks for her brave service in uniform to our country.
Nonetheless, a touching a far larger issue goes, …. Women leading men into combat? Somehow we won both WWI & WWII without having to resort to that.
Do we really think that we are wiser than the ancients? Can anyone name a SINGLE military power in history that routinely integrated women into its combatant ranks to fight alongside men?
Perspective: The enemy would love nothing better than to capture American female soldiers and have their way with them.
It was different because she was a pilot, you say? What would have happened had she been shot down and captured?
Not a pretty thought.
We have yet to experience the full range of unexpected consequences of placing women in combat in an all-out war.
Think of it: If placing women in combat is such a great thing, then why do the MSM, the Democrat Party, and the Obama Administration support it wholeheartedly? Am I the only one seeing the cautionary yellow flags here?
Part of the overall downward (but, oh-so politically-correct!) trajectory of the once-great American culture, or so I fear.

You are probably correct: McSally is probably a “conservative” the same way that John McCain is a “conservative:” Pro-Defense and………. that is about it. From my observations, most (though not all) AF officers who achieve the rank of O-6 are political to the core and lean left of center on social issues (e.g., abortion, homosexuality, etc.).
Still, she has to be better than her Dem opponent.

Didn’t Arizona have a primary and she lost?
She can talk in generalities as well as the next guy, but other than that, what are her positions on energy, health care, abortion, gay rights, property rights, taxes, gun control? Does she support strict adherence to our Constitution? So far the only thing I have seen from some that she is the right candidate is that she is a republican (so is McCain) and was a fighter pilot. I needn’t remind people that there are some in the military who lean more to the left than to the right.
Is she going to want to “reach across the aisle” or are her roots so deeply planted in conservative ideals that she will fight for them?
Sometimes I think people get so caught up in the hype they tend to overlook those devilish details.
Sasja commented:
Brae. You seem to know about her since you think she should be a next president. Tell me about her.

I live in this District and I am so glad the local GOP is FINALLY running a conservative candidate I feel good about supporting! Martha McSally is a breath of fresh air and she will make a fine Representative.
Martak commented:
I thought she lost the primary, too. She’s the class act who wanted to “kick” Rick Santorum “in the jimmy” because he said some against women being in combat.
Ugh.
TeaJay27 commented:
Jesse Kelly won the special CD8 primary (a four month temp seat) but she is the only one of the four original candidates in that special to run for the permanent CD2 seat. Jesse Kelly dropped out when he was defeated. The CD lines recently changed from 8 to 2 with redistricting. She has token primary competition by someone who has not raised enough $ to file any campaign finance reports (Read: he should drop out soon). She is expected to face Ron Barber (D) in Nov. and knock his Pelosi-knitted socks off!
TeaJay27 commented:
FTR: She has nothing in common with McCain – she’s for limited government!
