In December Marxist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said, “Obama is a shame to all black people.”
But, that was December.
Today Hugo Chavez told reporters, “Obama is a good guy.”
Reuters reported:
President Hugo Chavez denied on Friday that Venezuela was a threat to anyone, after U.S. presidential hopeful Mitt Romney criticized Barack Obama for playing down the risk posed by the socialist leader.
Obama told a Spanish-language television station in an interview screened this week that Chavez’s actions over recent years had not had a serious impact on the national security of the United States.
Romney said Obama’s comments were “stunning and shocking” and showed a pattern of weakness in the Democratic president’s foreign policy.
In an interview with a local Venezuelan television station on Friday, Chavez dismissed the allegations he posed any danger.
“The Venezuela of today is no threat to anyone,” he said.
“It has all been a hoax by the imperialists and global far right: that uranium is being enriched in Venezuela, that we’re setting up missiles here, that we’re supporting terrorism.”
Whenever there were efforts to improve relations between Washington and Caracas, Chavez said, they were criticized by powerful “snipers” who issued threats in the U.S. media.
Chavez, whose stridently anti-Washington politics are highly popular in his OPEC nation, has expanded ties with Iran while the United States and other nations have increased their pressure on Tehran over its nuclear program.
Obama told a Miami station this week that Hugo Chávez has not posed ‘serious’ national security threat.

Of course Chavez is going to say this… he needs a clear path to accomplish his goals…. having romney elected does not guarantee that… having doofus Barky does.

All darned good comments…at this “stage” Hugo is likely looking at things differently. He would not want to endanger all the great things he’s done in Venezuela, and put in place. Time to sound like a nice old comie…

Commie, racist Hugo Chavez was one foreign leader Obama seemed to really like on first meeting.
Remember the close handshake Obama and Chavez shared as they stared in each others’ eyes? Obama almost seemed to be purring with pleasure.
It’s a good thing Che Guevara isn’t still alive or he would be given lodging in the Lincoln Bedroom.
Vote in November as if the survival of your country depends on it. It does.

Iran and Venezuela, BFF
Now hidden in Latin America, awaiting ‘operations’ against U.S. (#76)
[Iran has expanded its terror network and now has tens of thousands
of agents in Latin America, according to a former Iranian official who
has witnessed the regime’s crimes against humanity inside Iran and
has knowledge of its terror network targeting the West.
In interviews with the opposition outside Iran, the official revealed that
more than 40,000 of the regime’s security, intelligence and propaganda
forces successfully have been placed over time in Bolivia, Brazil,

Precious little daylight between these two foul characters except Obama can’t get away with as much as he would like and Chavez has almost free reign

When did we become so dumb and so comfortable with evil that the average American doesn’t instinctively distrust and recoil from anyone called a “good guy” by Chavez?

Before he was elected a young man from Venezuela was on Fox news. He said that he had met Obama many times and that Obama and Chavez were close friends. He said that compared to Obama, Clinton looked like an American patriot and we will never have seen a politician as rabid and extreme as Obama. He warned that America would be totally in danger of complete transformation.
Most of what he said has come true.
No one at FOX news has come forward to help me find this interview.
Things that make you go hmmmm.
Jeannie commented:
Please don’t forget the fun little period of Chavez accusing Obama of giving him the cancer. At the time I wondered if he was trying to create a false impression of division so that Americans would not link Obama to CHavez.
MORE things that make you go hmmmm….
By the way, that man interviewed on FOX said that Castro was also one of O’s cronies.
