Chick-fil-A Replaces Muppet Toys With Berenstain Bears Book

The far left continued their assault against Chick-fil-A today.
Think Progress attacked the family-oriented corporation saying the chicken chain attracts “only losers.”
Meanwhile – The company replaced their Muppet toys with a bear book.

Chick-fil-A replaced the dangerous Muppet toys in their kids meal with Berenstain Bears Books this week.

A book from the iconic series has been rushed into the chain’s kids meals — which prompted a curt response from the series’ copyright holder.
Chick-fil-A has replaced its kids’ meal prize, but has yet to sweep away the controversy.
The chain last week pulled the Jim Henson Company-produced finger puppets that were being placed in childrens’ meals, officially citing safety concerns; the move, however, was largely viewed as retribution for the puppet and production studio’s very public rebuke of the fast food chain’s president, Dan Cathy, confirmation that his restaurant donated to religious organizations that fight against gay marriage.
Now, Chick-fil-A is rewarding young diners with a series of books from the Berenstain Bears series, a move that does not seem to please the group that owns the copyrights to the series.

Our publisher, HarperCollins, is marketing several of their Berenstain Bears titles through a kids’ meal promotion at Chick-Fil-A scheduled for August. This program was in development for over a year. We were unaware of any controversy involving Chick-Fil-A until July 25th.

Well, if that doesn’t work out, they might want to try the Values Series but then Chicago might find that the Value of Hard Work or the Value of Respecting Others isn’t in line with the Chicago credo.

Fantastic! I am looking forward to eating at Chick-fil-A for the very first time in my life this Wednesday, August 1st! I will be having one of their famous sandwiches, as well as ordering a kids meal JUST SO I can have this book to put into my curio cabinet!
ahhh, fun times and a souvenir of the memory! Guess it does not take much for me, being a ‘loser’, to be appreciative.

You know are nation faces huge problems but when others manufacture more trivial ones, we are seriously in grave danger of throwing an America into a tail spin with a minimal way out.
Disgraceful what has happen and this is literally disturbing to those of us who lived long enough to realize just how great we are and they way we were in years past before all the PETTINESS began.

Harper-Collins advertises quantity discounts for their books. I suspect that they are in NO position to being taking sides on this one – at least not if they don’t want a religious discrimination lawsuit and perhaps a boycott by conservatives.

How ironic that a movement that strives to create a “classless society” would construct so many artificial classes to achieve it’s ends. If each class has a different set of rights and restrictions, how exactly is this unlike feudalism??? (the system that our founders rejected)

OVER A YEAR AGO, ISN’T A RUSH!! THAT SAID THIS GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN AGAINST TOYS FOR SOMETIME. ONE OR TWO INCIDENTS WHERE A CHILD WAS CHOCKED ON A SMALL PIECE FROM PRIZE. MANY OF THESE TOYS ARE MADE OVER China or other nations. But a book would be less hazardous and where is the complaint, with the owners of copyright.
You know, Chick-fil-a chicken is so good, and I just had some 1 hour ago, that who cares about a toy, kids will just love their chicken.
The place is going gang busters today in our town. I wish there was more we could do but being a regular customer will be the best defense until we KICK OUT OF OFFICE OBAMA AND THE LEFTIST. THEY ARE DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY.

CNN and other left-friendly media outlets are running full speed with an erroneous story that brands the president of the Chick-fil-A restaurant chain a homophobe because he allegedly told a reporter he is “guilty as charged” when it comes to his company being opposed to gay marriage, The Weekly Standard reported.
But the Chick-fil-A president, Dan Cathy, did not condemn gay marriage. CNN and other liberal outlets made their own leap from Cathy expressing support of the traditional family and Christian growth and ministry to making Cathy appear to be condemning gay marriage.
A review of the original interview shows he wasn’t even asked a question about gay marriage nor did he say he condemns it.

Wow, I am a loser? HUMMMM entire family is military, pilots, flight attendants, fought in Vietnam, GULF WAR, IRAQ AND NOW AFGHANISTAN.
I suppose that because of our courage they have their freedom of speech. But…… I just can’t say here how much this statement offends me and my entire family.
I standing up for this nation makes me or any member of my family a loser? I and my family are losers because we believe in our faith, family and values that have been so courageous and magnificently instilled in each of us.
SO BE IT. But it hurts all Americans when those who are Patrons of a food chain and are being Patronized by others we have fought for, to have their freedoms.
