Bummer… Obama Down 2 Points to Romney (46-44) – Blows $100 Million For Jack Squat

Bummer. Obama just blew $100 million on Romney attack ads.
Guess what it got him?… Jack squat.
After blowing millions on attack ads Obama is down two points to Mitt Romney.
Rasmussen reported, via Free Republic:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Mitt Romney attracting 46% of the vote, while President Obama earns 44%. Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and five percent (5%) more are undecided.
Matchup results are updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern.
Over the past 20 days, the candidates have been within three points of each other every single day. During that stretch, Romney has held the advantage 11 times, Obama has been on top four times, and they were tied on five days. Over that 20-day period, the president’s support has stayed between 44% and 46% every single day.

Romney should be up 8 if he were in full campaign attack…I think they are under stating Romney’s lead now …so down the stretch they report Romney opening a wider lead …mentally… the image of polling momentum has a way of being self fullfilling. Keeping it close until the last month also keeps a lid on Obama’s culties from going all out hysterical . As long as the cult thinks Obama has a chance in the ballot box..they won’t go to the suicide vests.

The race is so close partially because most of the electorate hasn’t even tuned in yet. many won’t ever do so. I’d be surprised to see any shift this far out. I would note that the tempo of fundraising, combined with the paucity of the attacks thus far, means that obama’s internal polling sucks.
But now Drudge reports that a US warship fired upon and hit a small boat near Dubai. Hopefully this is either an accident or a one-off attack. If it is part of something bigger, this will get ugly fast.
