What a lovely young woman.
She’s as elegant behind a camera today as she was on the ice rink.

Olympic stars Kristi Yamaguchi, Jimmy Shea and Derek Parra tout Mitt Romney’s Olympic achievements in a new ad.
This is wonderful!

  1. Great ad but they forgot to mention he did it for FREE, out of love for his country.

  2. And this is Awesome!!

A Catholic high school student from Aurora, Colorado stuns the world by winning the gold medal in the 100 backstroke, just 15 minutes after swimming in another race … and then she dedicated her medal to the recent victims of the theater massacre in her town

LONDON — Missy Franklin stared out on the horde of reporters, suddenly sounding very much like a high school senior-to-be. “I don’t like being up here alone,” she said nervously.

Then, just like that, she turned on a big smile and worked the room like a pro.

Thanks to this Colorado teenager, America’s swim hopes are back on track at the Olympics.

  3. The Olympics: Freedom Adrift

Freedom is, of course, tied inextricably to the success of capitalism. It is capitalism that made welfare mother Rowling richer than the Queen. It is capitalism that made the four lads from Liverpool rich beyond their dreams. And it is capitalism that, in the recent words of Charles Murray in the Wall Street Journal:

… is the best thing that has ever happened to the material condition of the human race. From the dawn of history until the 18th century, every society in the world was impoverished, with only the thinnest film of wealth on top. Then came capitalism and the Industrial Revolution. Everywhere that capitalism subsequently took hold, national wealth began to increase and poverty began to fail. Everywhere that capitalism didn’t take hold, people remained impoverished. Everywhere that capitalism has been rejected since then, poverty has increased.

Capitalism has lifted the world out of poverty because it gives people a chance to get rich by creating value and reaping the rewards.

In a nation that is free, why would the London Olympics portray in opening Ceremonies Socialism?

  4. I saw Kristi Yamaguchi and that was all I needed to see.

  5. Great timing too with the Olympics going on.

  8. What a great commercial! What did Obama ever do other than play golf and spend other peoples money?

  9. Kristi was already America’s Sweetheart long after she became a professional because she and Brian Boitano and Scott Hamilton all pursued excellence BEYOND Olympic standards. She epitomizes (because her efforts since continue to represent this mindset) excellence and self-improvement that capitalism and freedom reward.

I loathe reality programs but even I tuned into Dancing with the Stars when she was on and I was wholly expecting and unsurprised when her values and discipline once more accorded her the win.

You cannot do better than to get her to be your spokesperson. She has what is called the “Q” factor. On likeability and respect scale she is globally off the charts.

  10. #11 – He proudly rallied the masses to embrace the death culture and arrogantly authored the DECREES that outright ran over our freedoms of religion, speech and right to bear arms.

    All in a good comrade’s day’s work.

  11. no one is talking about how Kristi Yamaguchi was treated by the “racist” corporate sponsors.
she was dissed by the sponsors b/c she was a Japanese-American. There was another skater that Tonya Harding knee capped. dont remember her name but they chose her for corporate sponsorship b/c she was white and they thought it was a better iamage than putting out Kristi. what a sham the corporate sponsors are.

  12. Randy in Rocklin,
