Krauthammer On Holder Contempt Vote: “There’s No Way the Mainstream Media Can Ignore This Anymore” (Video)

FOX News analyst Charles Krauthammer commented on the Contempt vote against Eric Holder last night on Special Report. Krauthammer says,
“There’s no way the mainstream media, which have studiously tried to ignore this, can do that anymore.”
That, in itself, is a win for the GOP and the country.

“It has several immediate effects,” syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer said about President Barack Obama using executive privilege to protect Attorney General Eric Holder from the Fast & Furious investigation today.
“The first is, as you mentioned in the grapevine, there’s no way that the mainstream media, which have studiously tried to ignore this, can do that anymore. In fact, as you pointed out, NBC, which has shown exactly ten seconds of coverage of this on its Evening News in the last year-and-a-half, is now going to have to explain the whole thing since the viewership has no idea what it’s about. So, number one, it becomes huge national issue,” Krauthammer said on a special edition of the panel on FOX News’ “Special Report” broadcast this evening.

While many folks believe that “Fast and Furious” was an attempt to create an atmosphere to severely restrict 2nd amendment rights, there is a alternate theory that there is an immunity deal between U.S. and the Sinaloa cartel, which does lots of business in Chicago.
The “deal” was something on the lines that the Sinaloa cartel would take out the other cartels with US help (sounds a lot like the plot line of “A Clear and Present Danger“). At least one Sinaloa cartel member has claimed to have such immunity in a case out of Chicago.
If this is the case, and that is a big if, then there would be plenty of reasons to not inform the Mexicans authorities and revelation would be a huge embarrassment to the Obama Administration.

I like Krauthammer but he is wrong on this one. The MSM has totally ignored Ali Bama’s background for over 3 years. Now we find out about chooming and other derogatory types of behaviors and still they basically ignore it. They have ignored the lies and distortions in his books. They have ignored his relationships with radicals. They have ignored Fast & Furious. I suppose they’ll mention it for a day, maybe two, and mock conservatives for wanting to find out what happened but then it will disappear as usual.

You should have seen the stunned and dazed looks on peoples faces yesterday sitting in Chicago O’Hare’s airport gates. “Why did President Obama just cover up a bunch of documents that Congress is asking for?” “Isn’t that something Nixon did?”
Obama just declared himself to be a crook. Many people know that if the documents don’t say you did something wrong, you give them over. They’re government documents and no rational person thinks the United States Senate shouldn’t be allowed to see them. Most people know that we’re forced to give our emails, our work documents, etc. to whomever asks – auditors, human resources, our bosses – when they ask. They are not our documents. Mr. Holder, they’re not your documents either.
But the real shock was seeing President Obama cover things up. Why is he involved? I thought he said he wasn’t involved, but now he’s saying these are HIS documents? And he has to cover them because they have secrets?
It’s WTF awakening time in America.

As Laura Ingraham pointed out today the media is indeed still ignoring this. She is pointing out that they are instead focusing on the heat wave. At least so far no mention of Global Warming.

The lead story on this morning’s Today Show was the heat wave in the NE. The only mention of the contempt of Congress charge was a brief mention in “other news” department well into the program – and then they were careful to mention that it was passed along “strict party lines” etc. –
The MSM will continue to try and ignore this or at least downplay it as long as they can – they are taking all their direction directly from the DNC on this.

Fast and Furious is simply a flash in the pan. Come January, Obama issues last minute pardons from HIMSELF the One and the rest of his corrupt regime. They all go off to cushy jobs as automatically tenured academicx, get multi-million dollar advances for ghost written books and generally live the lives of ‘Old Washington Hands’.
Meanwhile, the country faces years of poor economic productivity while payments on the massive Obama-debt sucks the life out of any growing businesses.
But then, that’s why HIMSELF the One is President – he can forgive anyone he wants.
