That didn’t take long.
After the Supreme Court confirmed yesterday that Obamacare is really just a ‘big f***ing tax’ the Obama Truth Team is already backing away from the ruling. Yesterday it was a tax. Today’s it’s not.

Friend –
I’d love to take a moment to savor yesterday’s Supreme Court decision, but we don’t have time.
Already, Mitt Romney and Republicans are out with outright falsehoods about Obamacare — their favorite distortion being that this is somehow a broad tax on the middle class. In reality, this is all about personal responsibility — and the “tax” they are trying to scare everyone about is actually a penalty for the 1 percent of people who can afford insurance but still choose not to buy it, leaving the rest of us to pay for their health care when they head to the emergency room.
Just like they did when the bill was before Congress, Republicans are playing fast and loose with the truth, making up scary consequences to keep you from knowing all the good things Obamacare does. They’re not telling the truth about what this reform means for millions of middle-class Americans, so I need you to help get the facts out there.
The Obama “Truth Team” goes on to claim costs will not go up, the deficit will go down, Americans will be able to keep their current insurance and the size of government won’t increase… Oh, and it’s not a tax. Who are they fooling?
Face it. It’s a big effing tax.

So the guy who makes 40k a year, pays near 10% of his income and 30% deductibles for insurance that he “does not want” is being penalized even though everyone knows it’s a tax.
End result, more money out of his paycheck and out of the economy which is where he would spend some of it.

So Obama is saying that the SCOTUS was wrong in upholding Obamacare?
Finally, something from him on which I can agree!

More “just words”. Ugh.

Since the WH still maintains its a penalty and not a tax, why doesn’t the House simply pass a resolution declaring that their intent with ACA was, and is, a penalty and not a tax.
Roberts can say the bill Congress intended is not constitutional, but I don’t think he can say that they intended something that they have declared they did not intend.
If it isn’t really a tax, it is a penalty under the commerce clause and the Roberts’ opinion was that that would be unconstitutional.
Roberts pretended that ACA was something that everyone who made it says it was not.
It isn’t constitutional.

Democrats simply CANNOT lie. SCOTUS tells the world the mandate is a tax and Obamacare is sustainable on that basis and only that basis.
Democrats say it’s not a TAX.
LIARS.

Unlike four years ago, we have some people in the Campaign, and other groups that aren’t afraid to take a solid swing at Obama.

Where We Go From Here
[Reactions to Roberts’ atypical stance have been, rightfully, ones of
frustration. Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist stated,
“I’m not a lawyer. However, there are some very smart lawyers — like,
four of them — who saw things differently… And at some point you have to
wonder: Four, you know, center-of-right Reagan-Republican judges all saw
it one way, and he saw it the other. He has to be asking himself, ‘Oh look,
everybody except Johnny is out of step marching out there.’ Well, maybe
Johnny’s out of step.”]

[“It was disturbing that we made the case to Justice Kennedy,
who embraced the concept of limited government, only to have
it overshadowed by Chief Justice John Roberts, who envisioned
the entire issue simply of one over the ability to tax,” Rep.
Michael Burgess, R-Texas, told WND.
He added, “The good news for liberty is the inability of Congress
to exceed its authority under the Commerce Clause was affirmed.
The bad news for liberty is the taxing power of Congress has now
been accelerated by this Court.”]
