Green Disaster… Obama Is Spending $5.5 Million Per Green Energy Job

Barack Obama spent $90 billion on Green Energy Jobs creating only 16,100 jobs.
That comes out to $5.5 million per job.
“Twoosh Master” Barack Obama posted this tweet during a Twitter question and answer session Thursday after a campaign event in Des Moines, Iowa.
Never mind the fact that the president did not post a perfect 140-character tweet as he claimed… The real scandal is Barack Obama’s continued dishonesty on the true costs of green energy.
Brian Hughes at the Examiner wrote this today.
Obama spent $90 billion of his stimulus package on green energy projects, including weatherization of buildings and development of electric vehicles. Yet, by the end of last year, just 16,100 people landed new jobs in the so-called green industry, Labor Department statistics show, far short of the 200,000 jobs the White House projected it would help create each year.
That comes out to $5.5 million per green job. What a deal!
But at least President Obama says the cost is coming down. We can hope… But, probably not until after the November election.

I think the # is closer to 50,000 new jobs. It’s just that 35,900 were in China. I would say they think we are really stupid, but, I would imagine the people who read the WH postings are. And, I would also guess gas prices would come down dramatically if we would start drilling at home.

What is so amazing is, Economy and Jobs, failure. Obama has some elitist idea that this nation needs green. We have cleaned up this Nation way before Obama. We are living in a time where a so called leader has no idea how important it is to access every resource that is available to us. We would be independent through drilling and discover more or how much this nation holds in the resources for recovery. True recovery we have been praying for and jobs, amazingly the jobs that would be created. But Obama is wasting time, money and words if he believes that Americans in this economy will switched to green.
It is like he has conveniently forgotten Bankrupt companies like Solyndra who he himself advocated. What is an Obama, does it have memory, does it have qualifications, does an Obama have morals.
Obama was created through the associates he came in contact with and now, the Obama is giving his contributors pay back, on the backs of the American People. This sorry to say in No RECOVERY.

As mad as I get with the libs and their absolute denial of oil reserves in this country, I have to remember the repubs were in charge of the WH/congress for 6 yrs. (2001-2007) and did nothing to open up drilling in this country.

The 2005 Obama worried about the devastating economic impact that high energy prices have on people from all walks of life. But Friday’s Obama has seemed determined to make the price of gas go up as much as possible since his first day on the job in January 2009. He dramatically slowed, then completely stopped the federal government’s issuance of drilling permits on federal lands and in offshore waters. He also slowed down the government auctions of leases for energy exploration on other federal lands. And since the Deepwater Horizon disaster last year, only two permits have been issued — both within the last month — to enable drilling to resume in the Gulf of Mexico, which supplies a third of U.S. oil and natural gas needs. He has withdrawn previously issued permits for drilling in Alaska and put millions of acres of federal land in the lower 48 states off-limits to future oil exploration.
His efforts have worked, too, as U.S. production has decreased dramatically. In 2007, the Energy Information Administration projected that 700 million barrels of oil would be produced offshore in 2010, but only 600 million actually were. And the same government agency predicted that onshore production last year would be 133 million barrels, but it was only 114 million. And EIA projects total U.S. oil production will go down 250,000 barrels per day next year. These facts explain why gas prices are expected to reach $4 per gallon this summer. In fact, things have gotten so bad that even former President Clinton now agrees with former President George W. Bush that under Obama there are “ridiculous delays in permitting when our economy doesn’t need it.” When the two previous chief executives, one a Democrat and the other a Republican, agree, the current president ought to listen up.

Lavine, according to the Los Angeles Times, is a top Obama bundler and a managing director at Bain Capital. Lavine, who has raised over $100,000 for the president, was at the firm when GST Steel declared bankruptcy. So according to the Obama team’s logic, Romney, who had left Bain, is responsible for GST Steel’s demise, but Lavine, who was there, is not? Expect to hear more about this connection.

The experience in Spain that is well documented is that every new green job destroys 2.5 existing jobs. Spain’s commitment and development of alternative energy is a major cause of its bankruptcy.
In addition to Obama green energy promotion costing $5.5 million /job created, the cost of existing jobs destroyed and its ramification must be measured.
