It’s Romney! …Santorum Quits – Vows to Help Defeat Obama (Video)

Rick Santorum called Mitt Romney today. It’s over.
The Caucus reported:

Rick Santorum suspended his presidential campaign on Tuesday, bowing to the inevitability of Mitt Romney’s nomination and ending his improbable, come-from-behind quest to become the party’s conservative standard-bearer in the fall.

“We made a decision over the weekend, that while this presidential race for us is over, for me, and we will suspend our campaign today, we are not done fighting,” Mr. Santorum said.

Mr. Santorum made the announcement at a stop in his home state of Pennsylvania after a weekend in which he tended to his 3-year-old daughter, Bella, who had been hospitalized with pneumonia.

Mr. Santorum, who was holding back tears, did not exactly specify why he was ending his presidential bid. He referred to his daughter’s illness, but said she was making great progress and was back home after being hospitalized over the weekend.

Even if you don’t like mitt…t’s time to come together as one to defeat the Marxist Kenyan turd

  • Simon Said

It was a good heartfelt speech. I like and respect Rick Santorum a lot, enough that I voted for him in the primary. Although Mitt will make a good president, he’s not my ideal candidate. I just hope he chooses a great running mate.

Hats off to Rick Santorum for running a clean, but underfunded race. He put in the time, effort and stood on his principles. Respect to Mr. Santorum… God bless him and his family!

I am never voting for Rommey. He is a liar and a liberal statist who smears conservatives.

    How can I support him!?

Does the GOP have any core values or not? Apparently they do not.

How many do you think will stay home in November?

  • Sasja

Dan C. I am going to ask you to just THINK what another Obammy term would mean. Mittens was way, way down on my list, but now we have to band together and defeat this evil we have let into our midst. I know I don’t deserve another 4 years (or more) of Zero, and neither do alot of Americans, including those who have yet to be born. Neither do you.

  • Gini

I fear enough will stay hold and stick proudly to conservative thoughts that Obama will be re-elected.

  • SacTownMan

Dan C you are a pouting child and if you don’t vote for Romney you are no better than one of George Soros’ little minions!!

Like it or not the choice is obvious!!

I am not a big fan of Romney either but the next president will likely choose the path of the SCOTUS for the next twenty years.

How much more debt are you willing to saddle your children and grand children with??

So feel free to sit on your ass come November 6th but I and every other defender of our Republic will be doing everything in my power to defeat the POS POTUS!!!

  • gary gulrud

It’s over all right. Romney/Portmann has no chance for my vote. Ever.

  • Susan

It’s amazing just how many people want us to come together now that their candidate’s come out on top. I don’t think they would have done that if Santorum was the candidate.

I hope that as Obama puts Romney through the mill that Romney’s put others through he realizes that being the “establishment” candidate isn’t as easy as he thinks it will be.

If Romney loses, it’s the “establishment” that deserves credit for his loss, not conservatives. I’m so tired I think I might become an Independent. I’m done with the Republican primary…they stand for nothing.

  • Sasja

Tea Partiers need to get together in their states who are plagued with RINOs to find strong conservative republicans to replace them.

It’s too late this election cycle, but there will be another chance in 2014, as some members of Congress will be facing re-election.

  • Bronson

While I’m no fan of Romney if you stay home and don’t vote for him consider that a vote for Obama

This election is true crucial for Conservatives to allow their emotions to cloud their judgement like liberals do.

Support the nominee 200% and lets win the WH in November. The future of our great country depends on it

Be aware that one of the Obot strategies will be comments coming from people posing as conservative/republican trying to tell you that they could never vote for Romney because he’s so “liberal”.

#7 “feel free to sit on your ass come November 6th”

That’s what it’s for. Not kissing your mother and children.

The GOP ignores 2010 and runs on a platform of “Manage the Decline” and turns around and bullies Ameikkka.

    FU DC.

  • Miss Marple

I have often said I would voote for the GOP nominee. I voted for McCain (and donated and had a sign in my yard) even though many people who knew me on FR know how much I despised him.

It is about the COUNTRY and the future of our children and grandchildren. Regardless of what you think of Romney’s campaign style (and I was originally a Perry supporter), PLEASE think of our children and grandchildren, and the type of country Obama would leave them!

We are in the 11th hour and our nation is in peril. Please swallow your pride (humility being a very Christian virtue) and support Romney. I know he isn’t a lot of people’s cup of tea, but he is not a Marxist, loves America, and has a wonderful wife who knows how to present herself in a dignified manner. PLEASE! I am not above begging!

    Sad day.

We can still get behind Newt. If not, we need to push Romney to strongly promote a conservative platform. He must be pushed to confront Comrade Hussein, and not take defensive, reactionary positions. The same dirty tactics that he used against Santorum need to be used against the traitor Hussein.

  • Monkey Wrench

The GOP’s core value is regaining power even if it means nominating a man who has changed his position on just about every major issue to get elected. Immigration path to citizenship, bush tax cuts, insurance mandates, gun control, support for planned parenthood, stem cell research, right to life, global warming, cap and trade, don’t ask don’t tell, same sex marriage… Is it really believable that one person can change their position on al these issues? His transformation is on par with Saul’s while on the road to Damascus.

  • It’s not Romney yet! There are actually still states that haven’t voted. If he does turn out to be the nominee he will get my vote, but NOBODY is going to decide my vote FOR ME in MY state’s primary as long as someone is running against Mittens. I am sad that Rick dropped out, but newt hasn’t yet, so the snobs do not get to make my decision for me on April 29, I can think for myself, thank you very much.
Go Newt, for a brokered convention that gives us Allen West! 🙂

Note the very same tactics that Stalin’s bootblack employs.

McVain got crushed but gave us Palin. So the GOP runs for cover, and the squishes that can’t even elect a conservative to Congress are telling Red Amerikkka to stuff.

You deserve O’Mamba. I’m writing in or going third party.

  • Dan C

Hilarious. Good little Republicans supporting LIBERAL STATIST ROMNEY.

And you wonder why no conservative reform ever comes to the country?

And you wonder why the country MOVES LEFT and GOVERNMENT GROWS even when Republicans are in charge?

People say they are conservatives, but then they support a liberal statist? It makes no sense.

We say we are against healthcare mandates and that they are an assault on our liberty, but then we support the man who came up with the idea!? IT MAKES NO SENSE.

  • SturJen

Like this wasn’t a freaking forgone conclusion 8 months ago. Yeah sure, Mittens has to get my vote, right? Because those GOP Elites pushed for this to happen. Give Mitt the $$ give Mitt the press, pamper your golden child like he’s the best thing since sliced bread. We’re too stupid to make our own choices for even our own GOP nominee. Romney = obama

No matter how you cut it …

Romney, the Father of Obamacare..the Finger in the Wind Candidate..the Etch a Sketch, Severe Conservative…who has promised a supposed Tea Party favorite, Pam Bondi…she will get a position as Secretary of his Romneycare when he is elected…..will somehow save the country?

    Oh please….

I have watched obama’s minions for months, telling us they are Romuluns, and now we get the “if you don’t bow down and worship Romney, you are an Alinskyite”…..LOL

Okay…next time, right? Just like all the other “next times”…someday…the GOP won’t shove a Liberal down our throats ..but for now…we must vote against someone, not for them…

GOP…you are so over …….you may get Romney shoved down our throats…but you will reap what you have sown…over and over again…..say goodbye to the Republican Party

  • el polacko

romney is the candidate because people voted for him…simple as that. whether or not he was your favorite, he’s going to be the republican candidate running against obama. it’s time to stop all the childish whining about ‘rinos’ and who really is or isn’t conservative enough for you, harping on how much you don’t like romney, or threatening to sit the election out. unless you’ve been lying and spreading hot air these last several years when you railed against how obama is destroying this country then you have only one choice and that is to get to the polls in november and cast your vote for romney. if you choose to pick up your marbles and go away in a snit, then we will have YOU to blame for whatever horrors another four years of obama unleashes on this nation.

My goodness, it looks as if I stumbled onto one of those threads that send my blood pressure through the ceiling. Is it the Bush Derangement thread? No, saw that one about a week ago. Just about the same thing. It is the If I Do Not Get My Choice And My Way I Will Call The Rest Of You A Rino Or Worse Thread Because You Darn Well Are Not The Reagan Conservative I Imagined In My Mind.

Get real and grow up. Throw your fit and then decide if you really LOVE OBAMA that much. If you do not get out there and WORK AND VOTE, you deserve every bad thing that Obama has done to you but the rest of us (that still have brains) do not.

No, Romney was not my first choice. Not my second choice. Not my third choice. See a pattern here? Santorum was my bottom choice but I would have worked for him because Obama is killing our country and we will not get another shot at saving it if we can not stop him from STEALING this election. We might have to wade through Black Panthers and he still might have enough workers on the inside to steal it. Get real.

  • Newt is still in. Mitt Romney is not inevitable, nor is he invincible. We must vote for a true conservative. NEWT 2012!!!!

  • conservatives need to learn how to fight better, Next cycle embrace less choices and quickly land on one to get past Karl and the clipboard. I am getting behind Romney because he WILL do a good job. As an un-Washington business man he will create jobs because thats what he knows how to do. If he wins he faces a nation divided against itself. It will be the most difficult time to be President as he tries to restore the American Dream to those of us in the middle class — while keeping a race war from erupting for those in poverty. He will not spend our money on the perks of being President but will actually sit down and do the job.

It will be a more difficult task dealing with the Middle East. But Israel will once again know she has a friend on Pennsylvania Avenue.

until Palin came along, Romney was my choice in 08..

that said, he is not my choice for 12,
but will vote for him should he win..

that also said: can someone please
tell me what they think of this??

[IBD reported that a Dec. 7, 2005, memo from Romney’s office said that
among the “environmental and policy experts” advising on the issue was
one “John Holdren, professor of environmental policy at Harvard.”

“Holdren’s bizarre views are best suited for an adviser to someone like,
say, Pol Pot,” IBD commented. “He views humanity as a plague on the
planet and the Industrial Revolution as a tragic mistake. The fewer people,
he believes, the better, and he’s not shy about the ways he would use to
    reduce their number.

“Why Gov. Romney, a reasonable person, would pick
such a man to advise him on anything is beyond us.”

IBD noted that it is Holdren who has advocated
for the “de-development” of the United States.

He also has considered as potentially positive developments forced
abortion, mass involuntary sterilization, government limits on family
size, a planetary government to crack down on population and the
    confiscation of infants.]

  • When it came out that Santorum had a very sick daughter I knew that he would probably drop out at some time during his campaign. That was the ONLY thing that was inevitable about Santorum’s run for the Presidency. If Santorum’s name was on the ballot I was going to vote for him and hopefully he would sqeak past Romney in the general. But now he’s gone and all the nay-sayers can just shut the hell up. If you moderates out there who wanted everyone to pick Romney months ago and just end all the fussing, you may still have to deal with Newt. He’s not finished. When he says he’s done, that will be the only time he’ll be done. If he says he’s going to the convention then he’s going to the convention.

We may have to shoot our way into the convention hall if the Black Panthers start race riots, and for sure if that g** damn Florida prosecutor, and I hate all prosecutors because they are the easiest to corrupt since every prosecutor has their eyes on being state Attorney General or some Federal judge for the Florida circut court or something that are the top of the jobs that prosecutor’s aim for, I don’t know, these are my guesses. But that prosecutor was not dropping the Grand Jury hearing to save the tax payers money. He dropped the Grand Jury hearing so that he could have his day in court to try Zimmerman in front of all the Blacks so that we are looking at another Penn State situation of a prosecutor trying to get Black votes so he could get the big election he was running for. And this is just another situation just exactly like Penn State.

This court trial that this prosecutor is causing to come about will be the kangaroo of kangaroo trials. This prosecutor will rig this trial so that no information that he doesn’t want to be heard will not be allowed, you watch!! And all the damn Blacks want this to go to trial big time!! They are going to get their wish because this prosecutor caved to Black pressure. The Blacks want Zimmerman arrested for murder. That’s all there is to this.

If Zimmerman is found guilty, you watch, this prosecutor will be rewarded heavily. If Zimmerman is found not guilty there will be Black riots in Florida and it will spark riots all over the country just like the g** damn Occupier’s. Blacks are much, much bigger racist than White people ever have been. There is no damn reason for all this crap about this shooting, and that’s what it is and that is a self defence shooting, and that’s all.

  • gary gulrud

Trolls are defined as a miniscule minority, 1%, maybe 5%. Of the 57% or so who will vote and will not vote for Lord of the Flies, we are talking 20% to 30% of their number. 15 to 20% of turnout.

This is what it always comes down to, isn’t it? Conservatives are driven out of the process by the establishment and are told to take their licks and like it because, after all, the only alternative is a commie b*****d. Meanwhile, the country slides into tyranny. I do NOT for one second believe Romney will be anything but a place holder (if elected) for the next — and final — nail in America’s coffin when the Marxist media pins All Of America’s Woes (now in hyperdrive with Mr. Muslim at the helm) on a REPUBLICAN, and 2016 becomes a shoo-in for all-out totalitarian government. The people will be begging for their D.C. nanny to do ANYTHING to stop the pain.

I would rather not be living in such interesting times. But, why worry? Obamacare has an answer for that, too, in the power given to its IPAB to decide who lives and who dies.

  • Paco

I will be the very first in line to vote for Romney in November. You can count on that. And all the Ron Paul losers are just that….sore LOSERS. Why not?

Kinda self-defeating logic you’re displaying, there.

If we all said “I’ll walk through a screaming, spitting mob of angry OWS white folks and NBP/ACORN black folks to vote against Barack”, it would be a tidal wave of Ronaldus Magnus proportions.

Reagan lost before he won, as well.

Not that Romney wants to win, of course. We can make him win, screw what he wants.

  • Taqiyyotomist

bg, I saw that one as well. Sad.

  • Sasja

Newt’s still in it. There are more primaries coming up.

  • Sorry, I got carried away because of all this crap coming from the Black Panthers and this prosecutor causing a trial. I know it was off topic to make all the comments about the shooting instead of Santorum’s dropping out of the Presidential race. But I’ll tell you this right now and that is Romney is not going to do much meeting with Blacks because he can’t even meet with ordinary White people let alone Blacks, he’s not that personable. He may be talking to people at some little cafe’, but he’s not going to be eating ham hocks, and chittlen’s with Jessie Jackson any time soon.

See, that’s where Santorum had it all over on Romney and that is because he was one of us. And not because he wasn’t super rich like Romney, and not because he hasn’t spent most of his life in the board room with the top CEO’s of some major corporation, but because he hasn’t done all of that, and that is what makes him more one of us than Romney is. And that is going to be Romney’s downfall and that is his history of not hanging around some friends bar-b-cue throwing back brew’s talking about hunting and football. But Romney is best suited being in high government positions where billions of dollars is being tossed around like confetti from one program to another. But can he identify with the life of millions of American’s who make up what is called the “middle class”, who are loosing their jobs, their homes, their lifestyles, and are having to stand by and watch their family being threatened by Obama and his Communist administration everyday with their destruction of this nation and the people who have built this nation to be the super power it once was. Obama and his friends the Black Panthers, the Muslim Brotherhood, and all Blacks in this country who hate Whites, are unlawful, lawless, and have no intention of being “law abiding”, and responsible for their behavior because they believe that is being obedient to the White man’s laws. If that’s their attitude of America being a nation of laws, what laws do they want to see? Where White people are put into the cotton fields, living in log huts with dirt floors, no running water, no electricity, and out houses to crap in instead of having a decent home to raise your kids?

The problem with Blacks is they are just as hard workers as any White person except for one thing. And that one thing is they reach a point where they don’t want to work any more for what they want. White people reach that same point and understand that it is going to take much more work in order to have the nice things in life that they want. And then they decide to keep on working towards that goal in order to achieve a high level of accomplishment in their lives. Blacks won’t do that. They have something in them that will not let them go any further when they reach that point in their lives where they don’t want to work any further. Well, that can’t be blamed on anyone other than Blacks. They can accuse White people of “holding them back” all they want because they don’t have what White people have, but when it comes to the truth it is Blacks who are at fault, not anyone else.

What Blacks need to do is to just be satified with what they get out of their life and not go around blaming everybody else for not having what everyone else has, and that is White people!

expected something like that, i mean, after-all lives are literally being
threatened, while Obama and Holder protect those making them..

[West also leveled the accusation of “hate crime,” but against one
group’s offer to pay for the capture of Zimmerman. He wrote that he
“vehemently” condemned the New Black Panther Party for the offered
reward, and called for the DOJ to investigate what is “clearly a hate
    crime.”

    [..]

“To openly solicit for the death of an American citizen, with reward, is not
in keeping with the laws of due process which governs this Constitutional
Republic,” West wrote. “However, this is to be expected when irrational
voices dominate our public dialogue and are fueled by an ideological driven
    media.”

I sure hope some of these are trolls.
Gary Gulrud is not a troll.
But Gary, from one Gary to another, please do some hard thinking about that position.
What’s at stake besides the WH? Well at least SCOTUS appointments in the coming 4 years.

Besides that, we’re going to keep the house and probably gain the Senate. We’ll be able to clean up a lot of messes if there is a Republican in the White House. Yes, rightward pressure will have to be constantly applied to Romney, but when has Obama ever, ever caved to the wishes of Republicans in Congress (or the American people for that matter)? We can’t afford 4 more years of Obama. Please don’t waste that vote.

(Same for the other Conservatives here who are finding this a tough pill to swallow).

And for what it’s worth, virtually all of us would have gotten behind Santorum or Gingrich if they’d won. No question about it.

  • But, good gosh almighty, when Obama sticks his head directly in this situation and it’s all for political reason’s and then has his Attorney General do the same while he’s out in states talking down on voter I.D., what else are we to think about whether or not when Obama says he’s not going to worry about the White vote? Is Romney going to deal with that directly as any of us would?

What I want to know is, based on Romney’s comments about “I’m not going to attack Obama personally” then how is he going to deal with Obama’s statements concerning that? He is going to have to get personal with Obama, he’s going to have to get right in Obama’s face with it because that is the only way Romney is going to pick up the White vote that will defeat Obama. He is going to have to represent the White vote against Obama’s representing the Black vote.

Is this next election going to be a politisized election? Yes, it is. Is this election going to be a racial election? That’s the way it looks like it’s turning out to be. Obama and Holder are making it a racial election, not a election about what is going to save this nation. Would Blacks want an America that is destroyed? That’s the way they live, like they are living in a combat zone, not a decent neighborhood like everyone else wants to live, but rather like the country is destroyed looking, not an orderly civil nation of responsible people.

We will not give up. I hope if it’s Romney that we all can get behind him as much as is possible with clothes pins on our noses and whatever eles we’ll need in order to defeat Obama.

  • Laura

It looks like Newt’s feeling empowered by Santorum’s exit. According to a report in the Daily Rash, just moments after Santorum suspended his campaign, Gingrich announced he’s having a yard sale this weekend to raise additional campaign money. http://www.thedailyrash.com/newt-gingrich-has-yard-sale-to-raise-campaign-money

    1. I’ve never been a Romney booster, because he is far too liberal for my taste. I’m a conservative, one who considers ALL the Republican contenders too liberal (except Paul, who’s just nuts). I thought Ronald Reagan was too liberal on certain issues.

    2. I’m planning to vote for Romney enthusiastically.

#1 plus #2 are not contradictory; they add up to common sense. Obama must be destroyed politically. We cannot take 4 more years of that Quisling. Obama must be beaten, and he must be beaten badly, so that his Marxist agenda is crippled along with his career. He should be humiliated, and have to drag himself back to Chicago with his tail between his legs.

  • Gary

    SturJen 22

I don’t quite follow this line of reasoning. Romney ran the exact same campaign he ran in 2008. In 2008, it didn’t work. This time it did. Romney hasn’t been spending his own money, he has been spending the money of donors, and the PAC on his behalf.
If Santorum or Gingrich or anybody else were the one everybody wanted, then where the millions of dollars pouring in? Gingrich had his own personal billionaire donor, but it didn’t do the trick. The problem for Conservatives in this race was not Romney, it was everybody else (and each other). Conservatives lined up behind 5 or 6 other candidates to protest the perceived GOP and media anointment of Romney. Each of these Conservatives ascended to the top of the polls in turn, only to fall back down. Santorum was the last man standing (realistically) so there is no reason, if he were the ultimate Conservative choice, that the dollars wouldn’t flow in for him and he could overtake Romney.

So this idea that Romney somehow bought the election, take a look back over the decades. That is exactly how elections are won. But nobody stopped the other candidates from outspending him. If any one of the more Conservative candidates had united all the Conservatives behind them, there is no way Romney could have outspent that individual. But with 20% of us behind each of the others, he was sure able to pick them off one by one until it was too late.

As I’ve said before, don’t hate the player. Hate the game.
Now we have an indisputable frontrunner. The game’s over and it’s on to the White House from here.

Now we show the Dems what Conservative unity can accomplish.

#75 I’ve thought some. Ginsburg is the next to go, one way or another. A RINO will get full court pressure to maintain the political balance.

Sununu, H.W.’s CoS gave us Souter of Kelo fame. Romany is H.W. without the resume or integrity. His sole general election victory was over Shannon Obrien the current CEO of the Boston Area Girl Scouts of America.

Romneycare was nothing but the corraling of $700 Million in Medicare/Medicaid Fedeal funding in relief of MA operating budget. Romany is currently beating up on the Chinese when Staples was part of the outsourcing tidal wave, he bragged about securing $410 Billion Federal dollars for the Salt Lake Olympics, and dumped the KC steel mill pensions on the PBGC, i.e. you and me.

Seriously, he is evil, just not as evil. The 52% gave the Democrats the Executive and Legislative Branches, in four years they will get them back with global financial reset. It’s a sham, noting more.

  • 1RedBeard

If Santorum can work with Romney to defeat the real evil, Barack Obama, then I guess we conservatives can do the same thing.

  • Gary

    TheresaAK

If you have a candidate in mind that you feel certain never made non-Conservative or even liberal mis-steps over their career, I beg you to name that candidate. I probably won’t even be able to name the mis-steps before somebody else beats me to it.

Romney = Obama lite and Romney = McCain II are just lazy bumper sticker thinking.
Romney is no McCain. Romneycare wasn’t Obamacare no matter who advised the Dems on Obamacare or what the libs are purposely putting out to weaken our candidate.
Flip-flopped? I wouldn’t even say that. Changed positions yes. Flip flop requires the position to change and change back at least once. Yes Romney started out a lot more liberal (or at least not as Conservative) compared to today, and of course he has a long way to go.
    But same as Obama? Hardly.

But he can’t possibly win the nomination, and he doesn’t even have enough delegates to “bargain” with Romney for his support. He’s almost in RP territory on delegates (and therefore influence).

Was Mitt Romney conceived on purpose by communists intent on producing a future president of the United States?

Was Mitt Romney trained by these same communists from his very birth?

Did Mitt Romney tell his grade-schoolmates “I’m gonna be president!” because he had been trained by folks who told him that since he was kicking in the womb?

Has Mitt Romney spent millions of dollars to hide his past records?

Has Mitt Romney dissed any of our allies by giving them cheap “white elephant” gifts?

Has Mitt Romney been golfing on the taxpayer dollar almost 100 times in three years?

Does Mitt Romney have a habit of “flipping the bird” to political opponents?

Does Mitt Romney have a habit of very-deeply-bowing to foreign leaders?

Are there reports of Mitt Romney receiving fellatio from another man in a limousine after scoring and then snorting a few lines of cocaine?

Are there reports of Mitt Romney exiting a room in a convention center to find a person who had fallen down in her attempt to run, fast, because she smelled a rotting-garbage smell from “poppers” and the unmistakable sounds of male-male-slathergrinding in said room?

Have many people been shot in the back of the head who knew Romney a few years ago?

Has Romney ever been called by the Soviet Union (euphamistically known as “Russia” today), our greatest partner in U.S.-Soviet relations EVER?

That’s just off the top of my head.

    Our choice seems clear.

Romney is a liberal. A moonbat, if you will. Big money moonbat, like all those who achieve power in this nation. He wants to lose. He is the anti-Butch from Pulp Fiction who really means it when he says to Marcellus, “It appears so,” as Marcellus hands him an envelope full of cash.

We can make him win. Despite what this J. McCain II wants. Despite what the MSM want.

And then? Instant hell-on-Earth, with a sitzpinkler RINO ANDCINO president who never actually wanted to be there, and riots in every city in America larger than Benton Harbor, MI, inclusive. His first YEAR will be spent trying to quell the riots.

And he’s a RINO. And a CINO. In other words, he will be doing exactly as Soros and the Globalists ask.

Yeah I’ll vote for Romney. Just to see what happens.

    Both points are right.

For the GOP to survive much longer, it will have to acknowledge a larger role for Conservatives. Otherwise, as somebody said above, the GOP will go the way of the Whigs and a Conservative party will emerge. the problem: in the transition years, confused people will be splitting our vote and giving the Dems victory after victory.

But my point is right too. Bush got more votes in 2004 than McCain got in 2008, and that doesn’t even factor in pop. growth. We could have stopped Obama’s election if our side had turned out more votes. Yeah it would have meant 4 years of “my friends”, but we wouldn’t have Obamacare.

It’s all politic-speek pablum mumbojumbo yada-yada CRAP out of his piehole.

Nothing whatso-FREAKIN’-ever that would indicate that he knows JACK McSQUAT about Obama’s entire Communist, nation-destroying upbringing.

But I’ll vote for Homer Simpson over Obama.

Maybe once Romney gets in by the force of a tidal wave of votes, he will awaken from his slumber, and see.

But I doubt it. He believes in a demonic, twisted, made up, multi-billion-dollar cult…

But I’ll still vote for him.

    Just to see what happens.

Because I still known the ending… Polycarp Lives.

Google SOMETHING, folks, to give me hope here.

I can’t find a single thing that Romney has said regarding Obama that makes me think Romney wants to win this election.

  • Taqiyyotomist

F**k it. Let’s push him in anyway, like we tried to do with McCain, after…

…after Romney mysteriously dropped out in the 2008 race, despite having been gaining in momentum…

…kinda like Santorum just dropped out, despite having been JUST LAST WEEK been gaining momentum….

    Heck:

GOP Elites: the bitches of the MSM.

    But I repeat myself, no?

  • Ella

George Stephanopoulos and Diane Sawyer at ABC News were absolutely giddy about the prospect of Romney being the Republican nominee. Who can blame them. I’d be giddy too if I were a leftard.

That said, we have got to vote Romney in as bad as that sounds. Four more years of that freak in the White House is something this country is not going to survive.

  • Taqiyyotomist #38

That’s the idea. If Willard will run for president every four years since ’96 then we will by Gd make him president this year no matter the GOP establishment wants him only as a token candidate a la McCain vs. Hussein bin Obama aka Barry Soretoe the Great Leader.

  • StrangernFiction

Nothing whatso-FREAKIN’-ever that would indicate that he knows JACK McSQUAT about Obama’s entire Communist, nation-destroying upbringing.

It doesn’t matter whether he knows or not. If he does know, it means nothing to him. He doesn’t believe it’s a big deal and he doesn’t believe the average voter cares either. And they may not.

  • gary gulrud

#131 Purity has nothing to do with anything. The GOP is token opposition to Progressivism by progressives. Boehner and McConnell simply capitulated after the biggest swing since 1894.

There is no fight in the dog, only fleas and tapeworms. The goal is to turn or destroy the GOP, Obama would get a budget, a library, an SS detail, a pension, speakers fees and a media pulpit if he were defeated.

    ABOer’s are just useful idiots.

  • StrangernFiction

I hate you with the heat of a million white hot suns for you are about to do, you traitors.

Do you hate the GOP Establishment with the same intensity?

  • Svan

Let’s all support Newt. Romney is way too liberal, too much like Obama. Newt is a real conservative, he’s smart, and he’s experienced.

  • gary gulrud

    143. Newt could use more focus, but he knows perfectly who slit his throat and he’ll fight to the end, even if it’s the first vote at convention.

Sununu, Talent, Molinari, Paxon, Coburn, Coulter, Rove, Rubin, these people don’t care about anything except power and in second place, money.

Obama is the antiChrist, but Screwtape is no friend.

  • Taqiyyotomist #134

    Sigh. I binged.

‘Mitt Romney hit back at President Obama for his scathing attack on him and his fellow Republicans, saying the Democrat is “inaccurate” in his rhetoric.

“This is a president who so misrepresents the policies and proposals of our party and of myself as well and then fails to acknowledge the mistakes and the errors in his own record,” Romney said this afternoon on Sean Hannity’s radio show. “It’s just astonishing to listen to him.”‘

Romney shoots back at Obama’s criticism

‘Fresh off a three-primary sweep that bolstered the perception he is the inevitable Republican presidential nominee, Mitt Romney on Wednesday blasted President Barack Obama for running what he called a “hide-and-seek” campaign that lacked candor.

In remarks to a media convention that Obama addressed the day before, Romney responded to the president’s harsh attacks on Republicans by accusing Obama of trying to divert attention from his own failed record through “straw men” arguments.

Citing Obama’s recent comment to Russia’s president, caught by a still-live microphone, that he could be more flexible after his re-election in November, Romney told the gathering of newspaper publishers and editors that the incident “calls his candor into serious question.”

“He does not want to share his real plans before the election, either with the public or with the press,” Romney said. “By flexibility, he means that ‘what the American public doesn’t know won’t hurt him.’ He is intent on hiding. You and I will have to do the seeking.”‘

Romney blasts Obama after latest primary victories

‘Mitt Romney punched back Wednesday for the merciless beating he and the Republicans took at the hand of President Obama the day before, calling Mr. Obama’s predictions of draconian cuts to social safety net and other programs “straw men.”

“These things are just straw men that have no relevance in reality,” Romney said during the question and answer portion of his appearance. “I think it’s important for us to talk about the real issues that exist in the country and how we would address them.”’

In the words of the patriot, Peter Fonda, “He’s an effin traitor”. Allowing this bastard of Franklin Marshall Davis to retire to honored President emeritus is intolerable.

Make the GOP fight for their lives.

  • Taqiyyotomist

    Hint:

Mitt Romney on Wednesday blasted President Barack Obama for running what he called a “hide-and-seek” campaign that lacked candor.

and, for some reason, this utter, complete, cowardly vagueness (as opposed to the aforementioned good thing, CANDOR), IN THE SAME SPEECH:

“He does not want to share his real plans before the election, either with the public or with the press,” Romney said. “By flexibility, he means that ‘what the American public doesn’t know won’t hurt him.’ He is intent on hiding. You and I will have to do the seeking.”‘

IF YOU KNOW IT, ROMNEY, WHY THE LACK OF FREAKIN’ CANDOR?

re I hate you with the heat of a million white hot suns

When rOBAMAney loses to Toonces in Nov., it won’t be because Republicans didn’t get out and vote. It’s because the indies will see no difference between the two. Let’s all give our thanks to that Georgette hemaphrodite and the other Rino’s at the RNC. I will vote for the Republican, but it’s going to be a wasted vote.

  • Joanne

Well Romney still needs to be vetted. His father would have had to have been an American citizen at the time of Mitt Romney’s birth. Mitt Romney shouldn’t have a problem providing the evidence if he is constitutionally eligible.

  • Sasja

    Joanne.

It is true that George Romney was born in Chiquaqua, MX. However, his parents were US citizens doing missionary work there. Since they had not renounced their US citizenship, and since the Mexican government did not consider them citizens of Mexico, George was considered “natural born.”

Allen West was on Hannity tonight. Rumor has it that West is on Romney’s prospective VP list.

I’ll vote for West anytime, anywhere, for any office for which he chooses to run.

To those many above who won’t vote for Romney…would you if West is also on the ticket?

UNDERSTAND? OBAMA CANNOT BE PRESIDENT. HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE HAS 9 LAYERS TO IT!!! 2) If Romney is OWNED by the EXACT banks, EXACT Wall Street SCUM, ELITE SCUM, Military Industrial Complex SCUM, Big Pharma SCUM as OBAMA, then how is Romney going to be any different??? NEW FLASH..HE WON’T BE!!!. DUH. So then you dummies start talking about Newt. RU INSANE?????? What about RON PAUL??????? YEA THAT’s RIGHt. RON PAUL…the ONLY candidate who isn’t bought and owned y the scumbag elite. The ONLY candidate who will follow the Constitution and has a 100% voting record PROTECTING your LIBERTIES. The ONLY candidate who won’t invade Iran an cause NUCLEAR WAR AND WW3. RON PAUL 2008, RON PAUL 2012, RON PAUL 2016. WAKE THE F*** UP.

    Ron Paul’s Soros Defense Plan

[Ron Paul proposed to put a bunch of Soros funded think tank experts in charge of dismantling the US military. Think about that for a moment. And then think about it again. Ron Paul supporters can see conspiracies in a glass of water, can they see anything wrong with this picture? Can they see anything wrong with having a man from a group that was investigated for its Communist ties in the driver’s seat on national defense?]

bit more of much more here & here & here..

For the GOP to survive much longer, it will have to acknowledge a larger role for Conservatives.

What does this mean, “acknowledge a larger role for Conservatives”? This sounds like a suggestion to go the throw-them-a-bone route. Conservative is what the Republican Party is supposed to be. It was a conservative party at one time; the sorry state that it’s in today is the result of the slow encroachment of the RINO squishes.

  • Lady Mondegreen

There are still 7 months till the election, so there’s plenty of time to decide whether to vote for Mitt or write in, or to cast a protest vote or whatever. But we’re already seeing Mitt tacking to the left. He’s a politician no matter what he says, and he’ll throw us under a bus if he thinks it will get him elected. It has happened before.

  • 1RedBeard

I’ll ask again, because it’s important.

This is for the people who supported Santorum, and now petulantly say they won’t vote for Romney. How do you square that with Santorum’s own promise to work with Romney to defeat Obama?

Santorum is a good man, and clearly a practical and logical one, a man who understands our crucial need to rid ourselves of Barack Obama, above all other petty internecine bickering.

I’ll be following Santorum’s lead here.

  • Gary

glad I stopped by this thread.
I love it when some blowhard arbiter of who is and isn’t Conservative decides to call me a RINO for pointing out the obvious.
Obvious point 1: Romney has this nomination sealed up.
Obvious point 2: You’ll have 4 choices in November.
Obvious point 3: Yes, despite what you think, sitting it out does help Obama. It makes it one vote easier for him to win your state.

You’re so intent on declaring yourself the conservative and somebody else a RINO, but you’re the RINO who’s going to help Obama get re-elected, and I’m the Conervative who’s going to do my best to stop it.

So soldier on there, top Conservative. Fat lot of good you’re doing.
