Ouch!… Romney Says “Even Jimmy Carter” Would Have Given Order to Kill Bin Laden

Mitt Romney came back hard on Democrats and Barack Obama today. The Republican frontrunner told an audience, “Even Jimmy Carter would have given that order” to kill Osama Bin Laden.
Ouch.
The Politico reported:
Mitt Romney, asked if he would have given the order to go after Osama Bin Laden, as President Obama’s new video and his campaign aides have suggested he wouldn’t have done, per POLITICO’s Ginger Gibson: “Of course, even Jimmy Carter would have given that order.”
The question, which came on a ropeline in Portsmouth, N.H., is one Romney will likely get asked repeatedly. The remark went somewhere that most Republicans haven’t – the criticism has been that Obama deserves credit for the mission, but crossed the line when his team slammed Romney. This is a new level of OBL fallout, a day before the anniversary of his killing.
Great comeback.
Obama still hasn’t thanks George W. Bush for the intel that led the CIA to Bin Laden’s hideout.

Notice that the only two top level political figures who would NOT have given the go, Biden and Clinton, are the only two talking about how tough and presidential Obama appears. He only is in comparison to those two wimps, hell, as Romney said, even Jimmy would have said GO!

Actually the guy who didn’t give the order when he had several opportunities to do so was slick Willy Clinton, the hypocrite who narrated this ad. Bush inherited 9/11 from intelligence and leadership failures during the Clinton years but, unlike Obama, had too much class to blame Clinton.

I’d be OK with the comment if he left off the “Even”. Carter lost re-election because the rescue raid he ordered failed. 2 helicopters disabled by sandstorm, one lost hydraulics, 2 crashed into each other. Try it again, without the ‘even’ and with an appropriate tone of respect. “Jimmy Carter would have given that order.”
