Navy SEALS Slam Obama: Claim Obama “Was not the Man Who Made the Call” on Bin Laden Raid

Toby Harnden – SEALs slam Obama for using them as ‘ammunition’ in bid to take credit for bin Laden killing during election campaign

Navy SEALs blasted Barack Obama for taking credit for the killing of Osama Bin Ladent. One SEAL went as far as to say Obama did not even make the call.

‘In years to come there is going to be information that will come out that Obama was not the man who made the call. “

This was devastating. Leave it to the British press to get to the facts of the matter.
The Daily Mail reported:

Serving and former US Navy SEALs have slammed President Barack Obama for taking the credit for killing Osama bin Laden and accused him of using Special Forces operators as ‘ammunition’ for his re-election campaign.

The SEALs spoke out to MailOnline after the Obama campaign released an ad entitled ‘One Chance’.

In it President Bill Clinton is featured saying that Mr Obama took ‘the harder and the more honourable path’ in ordering that bin Laden be killed. The words ‘Which path would Mitt Romney have taken?’ are then displayed.

Besides the ad, the White House is marking the first anniversary of the SEAL Team Six raid that killed bin Laden inside his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan with a series of briefings and an NBC interview in the Situation Room designed to highlight the ‘gutsy call’ made by the President…

…Ryan Zinke, a former Commander in the US Navy who spent 23 years as a SEAL and led a SEAL Team 6 assault unit, said: ‘The decision was a no brainer. I applaud him for making it but I would not overly pat myself on the back for making the right call.

‘I think every president would have done the same. He is justified in saying it was his decision but the preparation, the sacrifice – it was a broader team effort.’

Mr Zinke, who is now a Republican state senator in Montana, added that MR Obama was exploiting bin Laden’s death for his re-election bid. ‘The President and his administration are positioning him as a war president using the SEALs as ammunition. It was predictable.’

…A serving SEAL Team member said: ‘Obama wasn’t in the field, at risk, carrying a gun. As president, at every turn he should be thanking the guys who put their lives on the line to do this. He does so in his official speeches because he speechwriters are smart.

‘But the more he tries to take the credit for it, the more the ground operators are saying, “Come on, man!” It really didn’t matter who was president. At the end of the day, they were going to go.’

Chris Kyle, a former SEAL sniper with 160 confirmed and another 95 unconfirmed kills to his credit, said: ‘The operation itself was great and the nation felt immense pride. It was great that we did it.

‘But bin Laden was just a figurehead. The war on terror continues. Taking him out didn’t really change anything as far as the war on terror is concerned and using it as a political attack is a cheap shot.

‘In years to come there is going to be information that will come out that Obama was not the man who made the call. He can say he did and the people who really know what happened are inside the Pentagon, are in the military and the military isn’t allowed to speak out against the commander- in-chief so his secret is safe.’

All of this attention to Osama is putting Americans all over the world in danger. It is over and done and should be left for the history books not the 2012 political campaigns.

This will not make the mainstream media. I am watching The lletterman show and every second joke mocks bush and Romney

In years to come there is going to be information that will come out that Obama was not the man who made the call.

More than enough information has already come out to show how much Barry so much wanted to punt the decision so he wouldn’t take any heat from his far Left base. Any more revelations will only give depth and breadth to the mendacity of the illegal occupier of the Oval Office.

It Has Always Been The Soldier

    It is the soldier,

    It is the soldier,

Im shocked….Shockingly shocked…. Who didnt think the classless Barry would take much more credit than he deserved.

If the guy had and brains at all… He would say…. I didnt do much at all. I just gave the final go ahead after the Bush administration did a fine job of allowing the military and the other many organizations do their fine work. The Seals and other miltary members executed a finely planned mission and did so at great risk to themselves for this country. I commend everyone of them for a fantastic job.

He would look humble, gracious, honest and worthy of the office.

As it is the narcist in chief simply cant pass up the chance to make photo ops and camp[aign ads out of everything even though he hates the military.

Thankfully he is dumber than mud and he looks petty in everything he does and will lose in NOV

It takes a UK paper to bring out the good stuff.

But it takes a Drudge headline to push it out there.

Chris Kyle, Toby Harnden and State Senator Mr Zinke didn’t let the cat out of the bag.

I do believe many in America have heard all about the cat. Obama can say what it wants but that doesn’t mean we believe him. The only thing he did was Okay the operation. But I do believe as others do, the seals were going to take this guy out or capture him, with or without Obama.

I believe what Jose Rodriguez said tonight on Hannity, interrogations of the Gitmo Prisoners was the most effective way to get for the much needed information after 9/11.

And the courageous and experienced, best of the best, Seal Team 6 and the commanders accomplished the mission that Bush/Cheney were hoping and praying for.

My hat goes off to the wonderful men and Rodriquez who did their jobs and gave Americans hope. Hope is lacking these days in this administration, sadly.

All I thought of was President George W. Bush the day we first heard was happened. And I do believe Seal Team 6 was too.

  • Patty

The day we first heard “what” happened.

Obama can say “what he” wants. DOESN’T MEAN IT IS TRUE.

Obama strategy of taking credit for Osama
bin Laden killing risky, observers say …….

[President Obama has placed the killing of Osama bin Laden at the center
of his reelection effort in a way that is drawing criticism for turning what
he once described as an American victory into a partisan political asset.

But political analysts and Republican critics say Obama is taking a risk in
claiming credit for something that as recently as his January State of the
Union address he described as “a testament to the courage, selflessness
and teamwork of America’s armed forces.”]

“there was a perception that there was a loss of urgency in terms of
this hunt, i don’t think that was not the case” … “the cracking of the
courier code through interrogations of several detainees”

Obama anti-obesity “slush fund” paid for pet spaying

Explaining the federally-funded program, the paper said, “it wasn’t fair to ask residents to get outside and walk for fitness when they had to worry about stray dogs nipping at their heels.”

The fund has been threatened by the GOP. Last week, the House Energy and Commerce Committee’s health subcommittee voted to repeal the program. The Republican House budget would also kill the program. And Speaker John Boehner wants to use some of the money from the program to pay for lowering student loan interest rates, a plan President Obama has threatened with a veto.

Democrats have praised the fund for covering expenses such as cancer screenings for women. But Republicans say the money is being used as a slush fund to prop up support for Obamacare.

Congressional investigators and outside groups are scouring the grant program for embarrassing uses, and the Nashville spay and neuter program is just the latest. The federal website touting the Nashville program adds that it is also spending cash on bike sharing programs and to provide corner markets with fresh veggies. It doesn’t directly mention the spaying and neutering program but does state: “Increase the safety of Nashville’s outdoor environment for community members to engage in physical activity.” Poster here

Obama asked for this. {political Ad, was too Tempting and they bit. I believe Obama the enforcer,, will try something to those in Seals and former Seal who reported this.

Example: Breitbart’s Coroner, poisoned to death.

  • Skandia Recluse

You don’t brag about things like this. Obama, as Head of State, as President of the United States is bragging about ordering a political assassination of a foreign national, crossing foreign borders, violating territorial sovereignty. This is the kind of thing that starts wars.

By doing so, this gives justification to every other nation on the planet to do the same. Imagine a Canadian SWAT team crossing the US border to assassinate a militant Quebec separatist. Or the UK making a clandestine hit on an militant IRA bomber in Boston, or Hugo Chavez sending a hit team into Miami to take out an enemy of Venezuela. Or Putin sending in the KGB to murder some diplomat in Washington, D.C. Or Iran, or the Turks, or Syria, anyone anywhere who has an enemy. The only difference between a US drone firing a missile at some terrorists and some terrorist car bomb is the car bomb doesn’t fly.

You just don’t do things like this and brag about it in the international news media.

    “It was predictable.”

Of course it was. The bin Laden takedown was the only good thing that happened on Obie’s watch. Problem is, that kind of event is not the kind of thing one wants to be touting, unless you’re a classless, wanna-be Commie lacking any positive accomplishments in over three years in office…

I just love these comments. And it was predictable that he would take credit for this when in fact all the preparation and all were done before he took over the Oval Office. Thank God we have the brave men and women in our Armed Forces who look out for us! Thank all of you for your service. And hopefully this is just one more nail in his presidency coffin. One can pray–can’t they?

i will not believe anything about this raid until i see evidence of it!

there were many men who looked like and stood in for bin laden, whose to say that this man that was claimed to be killed was bin laden.

i think it is very odd that we, as Americans, could not have been shown any proof of this man being bin laden.

at least bush let us see sadam hussein being hanged! why couldn’t we see this event or at least see bin laden’s dead body and some kind of proof that it was indeed bin laden.

i don’t believe anything from this administration and their evil ilk!

  • he almost missed it, too

He was pulled off the golf course at the last minute!!!! He slipped in as it was happening in his golf shoes and atire. Let history remember that detail. That incredibly telling detail of a non-commander-in-chief.

  • mg4us

The reason Obama wanted Osama bin Laden killed (if he really was killed or is in hiding), was to eliminate competition. . .

Obama, not Osama, has done more to help radicals ascend then Bin Laden did

I hope all the jewish voters who helped in 2008 remember this in 2012 lest they make the same mistake twice.

So let’s give Obama credit where credit is due. .for being more effective than Osama bin Laden to advance radical Islam in the Middle East and around the world.

  • MissyT

I don’t think Obama COULD make a decision like that as he is too concerned about his place in history and would be worried about how it would be if it went sour. Everything is about him and not about the hardworking citizens of the United States!

  • Tim M

Obama if anything is a political creature first and foremost. The “Greenlighting” of the mission to kill Osama I believe was more a political than a tactical decision. If successful Obama takes credit for something he had nothing to do with except say go. If it went horribly wrong, he already had his scapegoat lined up…he probably would have blamed Bush, after all Communists like Obama never, never take responsibilty for their failures…it’s always someone elses fault.

  • Joanne

Obama’s secret doesn’t sound that safe to me.

Obama isn’t their Command-in-Chief, and the military know this as well, so they don’t have to keep the secret of a usurper in this regard or any other regard. The military need to remove this POS.

  • PH

I think all of this will be noted in the polling booths come this Nov. Barry has really stepped in it this time with his endless bragging and now this ridiculous movie to remind us of his endless bragging. We all know who risked their lives to kill this monster while Barry was out on the green. Well, I’m assuming he’s dead and am puzzled at the decision not to show his body. I would think that would be the ultimate “brag”. Hey, they could have photoshopped Barry wearing a deerstalker with his foot on bin Laden’s chest. Moron.

One comment: No disrespect to other services but SEALS are sailors not Soldiers.

  • linda

truth is…the seals just follow orders and have no idea who ordered the action taken that night.

  • Eric

Any active duty member of the armed services who criticizes the Commander in Chief is in violation of the military code of conduct. Citizens jobs are to point out the President’s broken promises or hidden agendas, the soldiers job is to keep the citizens safe.
I am sorry but the SEALS who spoke out against their BOSS bring shame to themselves and to their uniform the same as any serviceman/woman would if they disobeyed any other direct order. What many on here don’t realize when they comment on how great this public criticisim is (Especially you Joanne with your twisted & traiterous suggestion that the military should be involved in some sort of assassination effort) is that members of the armed services are held to a higher standard. They do not have the luxury of debating politics. Let the rest of the country wallow in the mud of an overly sensationalized election year, you are SEALS for God’s sake, start acting like it.

“No brainer?” Really? As in no risk, or no choice?

Carter might dispute that staging an operation like this has no risks. The sight of burned out helicopters in the desert played a huge role in him losing the election, as did the continued status of the hostages in Iran.

No choice? So, if that’s a no brainer, why didn’t this happen in Tora Bora? Why did Rumsfeld call off an operation when presented with similar intelligence about the now Al-Qaeda leader, back in 2005?

No brainer? Wouldn’t a much safer option be a drone strike, then send a team in at no risk (of just let the Pakistanis do it) to look for any pieces of bin Laden to test for DNA?

No brainer to not consult Pakistan on this? If that’s a no brainer to go in without consulting them, why did McCain, Romney and all the talking heads MOCK Obama in 2008 when he said he’d do exactly what he did to get bin Laden?
