Senator John McCain (R-AZ), a former Vietnam POW, slammed President Obama tonight on his Osama Bin Laden victory lap.

“I’ve had the great honor of serving in the company of heroes and you know one thing about heroes? They don’t brag.”

Ouch.
Senator McCain was on The O’Reilly Factor tonight.

And, heroes would probably thank the Navy SEALS, too.

John McCain arrived at Clark Air Base in the Philippines on March 14, 1973. The time he spent as a prisoner in North Vietnam helped mold his views on war policy and conduct that he discussed later in a thesis. (NY Times)

  1. Quite right. Heroes don’t brag. Obama does nothing but brag.

  2. Obama not only fathered my libtard neighbor’s children, but he personally gave birth to them as well.

  3. This is going to be a fun election.

  4. seals shot bin laden…job well done! obama’s mouth shooting nothing but blanks

  5. Greetings:

Back during my all-expense-paid tour of sunny Southeast Asia, I had a Platoon Sergeant who was, as they say nowadays, a bit crusty, as only an infantryman with two stars on his Combat Infantry Badge can afford to be. One day, after we had to attend an awards ceremony, he felt that I was getting too full of myself, so he imparted, as was his wont, some serious Sergeant First Class wisdom for my draftee brain to attempt to inculcate.

“And don’t go thinking you’re some kind of hero, ” he began, “whatever the hell you did, you got paid for it.”

  6. So far for 2012, Obama’s classless incompetence has been on full display for all to see. He has no respect for the military, yet touts himself as a killer of terrorists.

  7. I don’t take away from John McCain what he suffered as a POW, but it irritated me when people talked about how long he was a captive when one of the best men I know never uses his years at the Hanoi Hilton for political gain.

Congressman Sam Johnson was held captive two more years than John McCain and was part of the “Alcatraz” bunch that resisted their captors in every way they could think of. These men included Admiral James Stockdale and Admiral Jeremiah Denton, Jr. The lengths that James Stockdale went to to prevent the NVC from using him as propaganda is the stuff of legends. How one man could endure so much to thwart the enemy is truely heroic.

I found it odd that Congressman Johnson, former NVC captive, did not come out for John McCain in the last election campaign.

  8. McCain is so right. .Obama is a fraud. .

Reality is that Admiral had wanted to move weeks earlier as window was closing. .and each day delayed raised the risks. . .

But Obama could not make up his mind. .and only when forced to agree, he was summoned back from his golf game to be the little man in the corner in the Photo Op picture. . .

Please. .OBAMA is a joke and a fraud. . .thus there is no laud!

He is a street punk with playground machismo and illusions of grandeur.

    Come November 2012, Let’s HOPE there’s CHANGE!

  9. Change we can believe in… Ron Paul…2012…Or anyone but the Owelfare plez…

  10. If only McCain had shown this much fire against Obama in 2008…

  11. Looks like the SEALs are keeping mum about this either:

SEALs slam Obama for using them as ‘ammunition’ in bid to take credit for bin Laden killing during election campaign

It takes foreign media to tell us the truth about the fraud in the Oval Office, our State Run Media is too busy putting out fluff propaganda.

Obama strategy of taking credit for Osama
bin Laden killing risky, observers say …….

[President Obama has placed the killing of Osama bin Laden at the center
of his reelection effort in a way that is drawing criticism for turning what
he once described as an American victory into a partisan political asset.

    [..]

But political analysts and Republican critics say Obama is taking a risk in
claiming credit for something that as recently as his January State of the
Union address he described as “a testament to the courage, selflessness
and teamwork of America’s armed forces.”]

“there was a perception that there was a loss of urgency in terms of
this hunt, i don’t think that was not the case at all” … “the cracking
of the courier code through interrogations with several detainees”

  13. My son interviewed a local WW2 vet for a school project. The story will be published in a book. After the story was written, the WW2 vet had to sign-off on the story for accuracy. At the end of the story, my son refers to this man as a hero. The vet read the story all the way through, and with tears in his eyes, the only words he spoke, ever so softly were, “I’m not a hero.”

This guy was part of the D-Day invasion!

It Has Always Been The Soldier

    It is the soldier,
not the President who gives US Democracy.

    It is the soldier,
not the Congress who takes Care of US.

    It is the soldier,
not the Reporter who has given us Freedom of Press.

    It is the soldier,
not the Poet who has given us Freedom of Speech.

    It is the soldier,
not the campus [community] Organizer who
has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate.

    It is the soldier,
    who salutes the flag;
    who serves beneath the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
that allows the protester to burn the flag.

~ Father Dennis O’Brien, US Marine Corp. Chaplain

    God Bless America!

God Bless Soldiers everywhere for putting THEIR
lives on the line to protect us ALL from terrorism!

  16. This whole bin Laden crap is getting out of hand.
That old CIA asset died in 2001.

  17. Thank you, Senator McCain.

I regret you had not found that voice four years ago.

    Best regards, Peter Warner.
