OBAMA DECLARES WAR ON CHRISTIANS… Says Not Supporting FREE Birth Control Is Like “Being in a Time Machine”

Race war, war on the rich, war on women, now this…
Barack Obama Declared War on the Catholic Church and US Christians today.

In Obama’s world, free birth control is a natural human right and should be supplied by the state.
But he’s not a socialist?

Barack Obama slammed US Christians and Republicans today during his campaign speech in Washington. The radical former community organizer told a female audience that not supporting FREE contraception was “like being in a time machine.” Several religious groups including the Catholic Church of America believe the president’s recent HHS ruling is against church teachings.
The Hill reported:

President Barack Obama said Friday that Republican positions on women’s health issues were “appalling” and “offensive” and equated an effort to block his regulation to mandate free contraception to like “being in a time machine” during a blistering speech at the Women’s Leadership Forum in Washington on Friday.

The president’s re-election team has made a push for female voters a key priority in his campaign strategy, and Obama sought to portray his legislative successes on health care as a boon for American women.

“This contraception fight in particular was illuminating. It was like being in a time machine,” Obama told the crowd, many of whom had purchased tickets that cost $1,000 to attend. “Republicans in Congress were going so far as to say an employer should be able to have a say in the health care decisions of its female employees. You know, for a party that prides itself on being rabidly anti-regulations of almost any kind, for folks who claim to believe in freedom from government interference and meddling, it doesn’t seem to bother them when it comes to a woman’s health.”

‘You know, for a party that prides itself on being rabidly anti-regulations of almost any kind, for folks who claim to believe in freedom from government interference and meddling, it doesn’t seem to bother them when it comes to a woman’s health.”’

Obama’s line doesn’t even make sense. Yah, Republicans are against extensive regulations and want freedom from government interference and meddling, so it makes perfect sense Republicans wouldn’t want to have to pay for contraceptions for women when some people are against contraceptions and should have the right not to be forced to pay for others’ contraceptives.

  • Dylan

wish he was in a time machine on Mars somewhere.

  • Befuddled

Since when has handing out condoms, become a women’s health issue? It’s a responsibility issue. If you’re responsible enough to be having sex, why should you be demanding that your next-door neighbor provide you money for contraceptives. If you can’t pay for your own damn contraceptives, you shouldn’t be trying to bring a baby into this world.

Anyone who falls for Obama’s tripe is an idiot.

  • Patrick M

“Republicans in Congress were going so far as to say an employer should be able to have a say in the health care decisions of its female employees.”

Oh, the GALL of people who PAY for something to actually have a SAY in what they are paying for.
So apparently, the horrid Republicans want to let employers decide whether to pay for contraception or not.

Less regulation means less of the Govt dictating to companies and people that they HAVE to pay for something.
Ummmm, this kind of begs a question: What the heck are we doing tying the employer down with they kinds of decisions anyway?

If you dont want employers involved in making decisions, dont have any regulations at all forcing that relationship.

What next? Letting companies who have cafeterias serve FRIES? What is this? The 20th century?

Let me be clear, I support free sterilization. And, I support euthanasia of children and old people. They walk and talk so slow and are a pain in the butt. We need to be rid of them.

I remember when I was in Pakistan. It was like a time machine. People had their heads in the ground and their buts in the air. I tried it a lot of times and a lot of times I a got a wedgie. Barney Frank would like it.

…It’s not like the stupid Taxpayer can’t afford it. Heck, I have been spending those idiots into the ground for almost four years. But, I need for more years.

My limousine belching fumes and it needs another 200 gallon fill-up. Yes I hope gas prices go higher. I need to bankrupt the Taxpayers faster. I cannot answer any more questions. Good day.

    Obama’s ‘Missing Link’

[That take was quickly reinforced on Tuesday, when Obama, almost chastising his angry left-wing base for not understanding political realities, analogized Republicans to “hostage-takers,” holding Obama and America and its poor and proletariat ransom to tax cuts for the bloody rich. The president bemoaned his moral dilemma, forced as he was to “negotiate” with Republicans, who kneel before what Obama described as “their Holy Grail”: “tax cuts for the wealthy.” It was a stunning metaphor, and rather offensive: That cup overfloweth, apparently, with the real presence of the blood of the workers, which Republicans and their loyal factory bosses and greedy landlords slurp up from the fruits of the assembly line.

“These tax cuts for the wealthy — “said a visibly bitter Obama”
    — this is, seems to be, their central economic doctrine.”

    Meeting Young Obama

[Boss and Obama, however, had a starkly different view. They believed that the economic stresses of the Carter years meant revolution was still imminent. The election of Reagan was simply a minor set-back in terms of the coming revolution. As I recall, Obama repeatedly used the phrase “When the revolution comes….” In my mind, I remember thinking that Obama was blindly sticking to the simple Marxist theory that had characterized my own views while I was an undergraduate at Occidental College. “There’s going to be a revolution,” Obama said, “we need to be organized and grow the movement.” In Obama’s view, our role must be to educate others so that we might usher in more quickly this inevitable revolution.

I know this may be implausible to some readers, but I distinctly remember Obama surprising me by bringing up Frantz Fanon and colonialism. He impressed me with his knowledge of these two topics, topics which were not among my strong points — or of overwhelming concern to me. Boss and Obama seemed to think their ideological purity was a persuasive argument in predicting that a coming revolution would end capitalism. While I felt I was doing them a favor by providing them with the latest research, I saw I was in danger of being cast as a reactionary who did not grasp the nuances of international Marxist theory.]

Even Republicans Rejected Info About Obama’s Past

[What would you do if you knew that the top Democrat
running for president was lying about his past?

That is the question I was faced with in 2008. I had met the young Barack Obama while he was a sophomore at Occidental College, and I knew that his commitment to socialism was deep, genuine, and longstanding. See my earlier article on American Thinker.

I had been a leader of the Marxist students at Occidental College myself, starting in 1976 when I founded the precursor of the Democrat Socialist Alliance on campus. The young Obama I knew was a Marxist socialist who would have been quite comfortable with Communist party members like his Hawaii mentor Frank Marshall Davis, retired domestic terrorists like Bill Ayers, or active socialist politicians like Illinois State Senator Alice Palmer.]

Postman: Ayers family put ‘foreigner’ Obama through school

[Hulton says that in conversations with Mary Ayers while on his route he learned of the couple’s enthusiasm and support for a black foreign student. One bright, warm Chicagoland day, he recounts, he met the student who fit Mary Ayers’ description in front of the Ayers home in Glen Ellyn, Ill. That young man, Hulton is convinced, was Barack Obama.]

    Weatherman & Black Panthers

[..] According to a 1982 New York Times report, Broadway Baby was implicated in an investigation of a series of violent armed robberies in New York—netting more than $2 million over a two-year span — committed by former Black Panthers and Weather Underground members in the early ’80s.

Their aim? Global revolution, naturally. They needed cash, but the rich white parents weren’t in a giving mood. So their privileged offspring grabbed guns, pointed them at the faces of the working man and, sometimes, they pulled the trigger.

At Broadway Baby, customers often paid by check and used driver’s licenses for identification. On Dec. 28, 1979, information from two customer files was used to apply for two driver’s licenses at the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. The fraudulent licenses were used to rent getaway cars for the gang.]

    thank you..

Romney: Women ‘have gone back 20 years’ under Obama

“These are just some statistics to show just how severe the war on women has been by virtue of the president’s failed policies,” Romney said. “The number of jobs — this is an amazing statistic — the percentage of jobs lost by women in the president’s three years — three and a half years — 92.3 percent of all the jobs lost during the Obama years have been lost by women! … Now the president says, ‘Oh, I didn’t cause this recession.’ That’s true. He just made it worse and made it last longer. And because it lasted longer, more and more women lost jobs.”

He continued: “What president has the worst record on female labor force participation? Barack Obama! In History! We’ve gone back 20 years! The progress that has been made of more women getting into the work force has been stepped back 20 years by virtue of this president’s policies.”

“This president will do in his campaign anything he can to deflect from his record … [of] 92 percent of the people who have lost their jobs being women in this country. When he says, ‘Oh, there’s a war on women,’ let’s bring him back to the fact it is the real war on women that has been waged by his economic policies.”

The Church has been under attack. That is what this administration decided it would do and the Komen/Planned Parenthood and Fluke. Now, Obama campaign decided to make the issue about women’s rights for birth control.

We don’t need Obama to tell us about Birth control and truthfully, birth control is no expensive. But Obama, Axelrod and Plouffe have decided to take it upon themselves to have government give women free birth control at what cost to the taxpayers. And do the taxpayers get some milk for a week free, that is our nutrition for us and our children, free gas maybe for a month, who but Obama could take the pill and turn it into a war.

This is one of the most insane approaches to divert and deny the failures and the spending. I do believe he is Crucifying the Catholic Church for his Presidency in 2012 elections. Hanging the church on a Cross and slapping them with whips and chains.

Obama is a deceiver and if he is truly Christian he needs to repent.

{..} One of the strongest denunciations came from Peoria’s Bishop Daniel Jenky. In a January 24 letter, he instructed parishes, schools, hospitals and religious houses in his diocese to reintroduce the Saint Michael the Archangel prayer after all Masses. “It is God’s invincible Archangel who commands the heavenly host, and it is the enemies of God who will be ultimately defeated,” he said.

“If these regulations are put into effect” he continued in the same letter, “they could close down every Catholic school, hospital and the other public ministries of the Church, which is perhaps their underlying intention.”

Jenky encouraged, “Have faith! Have courage! I strongly urge you not to be intimidated by extremists politicians and the malice of the cultural secularists arrayed against us.”[7]

    • On Sunday January 29, America’s Catholic bishops sent an open letter to their parishioners and their government saying they would not comply.

    • The US Bishops posted an “Urgent Action Alert” in early February calling on Catholics to write to their US lawmakers protesting the rule.[8]

    • The Bishops also posted a superb point-by-point refutation of what they call “false and misleading” White House statements on the contraception mandate.

To date, at least 169 bishops, a good 90 percent of US dioceses, have spoken up against the Obamacare directive.

It seems the bishops finally feel the beast breathing down their backs. Yet this latest affront by Obama should surprise no one.

Obama was a student of the ruthless tactics of Saul Alinsky, the left-wing agitator whose landmark Rules for Radicals was dedicated to the devil.[9] Mike Kruglik, Obama’s Chicago instructor in Alinsky methods, said Obama was the best student of Alinsky tactics he ever had.[10]

    David Alinsky, Saul Alinsky’s son, applauded Obama’s successful implementation of Alinsky methods. Immediately after Obama’s acceptance speech at the 2008 Democratic National Convention, David Alinsky wrote a letter to the Boston Globe in full praise of Obama as one who learned well his father’s methods.[11] {..}

I know Romney wasn’t our choice but if there is a God in heaven, I do believe there is, we have to get this sick and dangerous man out of the White House. So, Obama thinks he has the women vote. Singing and dancing his way right into the Catholic church.

I suppose he doesn’t need to work on the blacks and unemployed because they are in the bag for Obama.

    Gays love him.

Hispanics love him, so who is left? Middle class, Moderates, maybe, independents, possible, military a few, I heard a man who is married now who was in the Navy, close quarters in those submarines. He said everyone was having sex, women were in the subs he was in. He also mentioned that if something happen and they needed a women to help them be carried off to safety the women could never do it. Interesting I thought.

But I digress, we are in a world of trouble but I hope Rush is right and we win in a landslide and Romney will continue to hit harder and harder on Obama failures. Foreign and Domestic.

Y’know, I don’t care if a woman wants to use contraception. That is her choice – something activists like to drone on about. Funny thing about choices, though – the person making it has to pay for it. So a woman is free to use contraception, but she is not entitled to get it for free. Apparently, that is logic far beyond this president.

Probably about time to have a discussion about who should pay for condoms. Is it a guy expense, girl expense or govt expense. This is not about religion but rather about the prevention of the spread of disease. A health issue…..The implementation start would be the requirement that condoms be used whenever there is threat of sexual contact under pain of financial and criminal penalties. Kinda like OSHA requiring workers to wear hardhats, steeltoed bots and safety glasses. Of course there will be a new gov’t department of condom use to assure that inspection standards are set up and enforced. Staffed with surplus airport securitry screeners they would have all the same mandate to touch anyone as they did in their old job.
By making condom use mandatory, those parts of society that tend to comply would evolve out of existance and the banditos would rapidly propagate. Kinda like guns,if illegal to own, only the bad criminals would be armed

Funny how Obama and leftist Democrats are declaring war against Catholics and Christians everywhere. .

and then out of other side of mouth try to claim what they do is what Jesus would want. .

If they EVER READ the Bible. . . they would know that while JESUS promoted giving to the poor and sharing. . it was to be of voluntary will. . No where did I see reference to government providing. . I can find no passages where Jesus said he expected Herod or the Roman government as being required to take away or steal from one to give to another. . .

Instead, Jesus said “whose image is on that coin?” when asked about paying taxes. . .and “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s but give to God what is God’s” (meaning our love, our lives and our souls)

And the reference to Caesar was not that Caesar would share it with the poor. . rather Jesus new power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. . . The taxes Caesar collected was to enrich himself and his cronies. .like Obama is doing and what the former Soviet Commies did. . .

As a matter of fact, in the Bible tax collectors were considered sinners and outcasts. . .yet Jesus called them to join him and not “steal” from folks. . .

Wonder if Obama understands Christian faith.

The one thing that I haven’t seen in this blog is the fact that no one has looked at the effect of birth control on the general population. Just my opinion.

In “olden times” – 1960 – 2.6% of the children were aborted, here in Sweden.
Then came ‘The pill’ in 1964.
    And the abortions disappeared?
    In 1965 4,8%. 1970 12,7%. 1974 21,7%. 1979 26,4%.
Now the figure has stabilized at 25%.
Every fourth little child is ‘taken away’.
In the town of Kramfors, 40.1% in 2010. In 21 other progressive towns, 30% or more.
And as a ‘Swede’ (Scandinavian) I am always in the minority, on the streets here today…
And the US: In county Bronx, NY, around 50% of the kids are taken away, ¿no? Also, eh, progressive…

[Honor killings are at the heart of the real war on women, as Lee Habeeb
critically reminds us. But they are not a problem only in Turkey, Pakistan,

Over the last couple of years, American cases of violence against women

Get your heads out of your own anatomy. Obama is not the devil that Fox news and the other republican rags make him out to be. Ask yourselves, why do I only hear white people demonizing Obama? Why are we blaming him for all the evils in the world? Because John Boehner said so? Because Mitt the flip flopper says so (this week)? The world was here before Obama and it will be here after Obama. We survived the dumbest president for eight years, and you will survive a brilliant one for four more years. Now, get off your computer and go get a life. Thank you.

#69 – all your talking points are untrue.

    = = = =

Now, back to the matter at hand: “Republicans in Congress were going so far as to say an employer should be able to have a say in the health care decisions of its female employees…” per Pres. Obama.

Our Dear Leader is again “stating that which is not so” (same with Proud {Idiot} Liberal above — do you sense a pattern here?).

If a woman doesn’t want to get pregnant, she is ABSOLUTELY FREE to (1) say “no”; (2) require her partner to use a condom; (3) purchase condoms herself; (4) purchase spermicide foams/ creams/ etc; (5) get fitted for a diaphragm; (6) get a prescription for birth control pills; (7) use a long-term mechanical device (IUD); (8) use chemical long-term birth control (Norplant); (9) if she’s sure she NEVER wants a pregnancy, she can have a tubal ligation.

These options range from free-and-temporary to long-term-and-costly. NONE of them require her employer to be involved in her “health”/ “health care”/ “health care decisions”. All it requires is a little personal responsibility. (Oh, wait, NOW I understand why Dear Leader seems to have no clue what he’s talking about…)

the real agendas is “steriization” (more here)..

the Brave New Godless World Order will eventually require just
enough of a population to serve the immoral immortal elites..

GREAT NEWS! Now, maybe some of those( my humble opinion) stupid, white, catholic Women won’t vote for him this time!

  • I will hound Romney to “repeal” all regulation and legislation from 1899 forward! Leave us alone and we will do fine.

As a Catholic, I didn’t vote for the Marxist the first time, and certainly not now!

    I wasn’t speaking about all Women #73

There seems to be a lot of paranoia and fear here. Where are you guys getting your news?

The arguments on the health care law have gone from wrong to ridiculous.

First, the Constitution. Confronted by questions about the government requiring or prohibiting something that conflicts with someone’s faith, the courts have generally ruled that under the Constitution the government cannot enact laws specifically aimed at a particular religion (which would be regarded a constraint on religious liberty contrary to the First Amendment), but can enact laws generally applicable to everyone or at least broad classes of people (e.g., laws concerning pollution, contracts, torts, crimes, discrimination, employment, etc.) and can require everyone, including those who may object on religious grounds, to abide by them. (E.g., http://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/494/872/case.html)

When the legislature anticipates that application of such laws may put some individuals in moral binds, the legislature may, as a matter of grace (not constitutional compulsion), provide exemptions for conscientious objectors.

The real question here then is not so much whether the First Amendment precludes the government from enacting and enforcing the generally applicable laws regarding availability of health insurance (it does not), but rather whether there is any need to exempt some employers in order to avoid forcing them to act contrary to their consciences.

Second, no need for an exemption. While some may well oppose the law’s policy of promoting the availability of medical services they find objectionable, the law does not put employers in the moral bind some suppose. Many initially worked themselves into a lather with the false idea that the law forced employers to provide their employees with health care plans offering services the employers considered immoral. The fact is that employers have the option of not providing any such plans and instead simply paying assessments to the government. Unless one supposes that the employers’ religion forbids payments of money to the government (all of us should enjoy such a religion), then the law’s requirement to pay assessments does not compel those employers to act contrary to their beliefs. Problem solved.

Some nonetheless continued complaining that by paying assessments to the government they would indirectly be paying for the very things they opposed, seemingly missing that that is not a moral dilemma justifying an exemption to avoid being forced to act contrary to one’s beliefs, but rather is a gripe common to many taxpayers–who don’t much like paying taxes and who object to this or that action the government may take with the benefit of “their” tax dollars. Should each of us be exempted from paying our taxes so we aren’t thereby “forced” to pay for making war, providing health care, teaching evolution, or whatever else each of us may consider wrong or even immoral? If each of us could opt out of this or that law or tax with the excuse that our religion requires or allows it, the government and the rule of law could hardly operate.

In any event, those complaining made enough of a stink that the government relented and announced that religious employers would be free to provide health plans with provisions to their liking (yay!) and not be required to pay the assessments otherwise required (yay!). Problem solved–again, even more.

Nonetheless, some continue to complain, fretting that somehow the services they dislike will get paid for and somehow they will be complicit in that. They argue that if insurers (or, by the same logic, anyone, e.g., employees) pay for such services, those costs will somehow, someday be passed on to the employers in the form of demands for higher insurance premiums or higher wages. They evidently believe that when they spend a dollar and it thus becomes the property of others, they nonetheless should have some say in how others later spend that dollar. One can only wonder how it would work if all of us could tag “our” dollars this way and control their subsequent use.

Post says: “In Obama’s world, free birth control is a natural human right and should be supplied by the state.” Umm. Not what the law says. This is the problem with much of what passes for political discussion today. Step 1) Invent something about the other guy’s position. 2) Have a cow over it. So not productive.

The law says that insurers have to provide coverage for contraceptive drugs and treatments for women. That’s what it says. Not that taxpayers pay for it.

“(a) In General.–A group health plan and a health insurance issuer
offering group or individual health insurance coverage shall, at a

Huh? A time machine? That makes zero sense. For all of U.S. history no employer has EVER been required by the Federal Government to pay for employees’ contraception. And since the contraception mandate has not yet taken effect, even in the PRESENT, it is not required.

    Dear Christian extremists,
Aren’t you guys getting tired of pretending you’re not every bit as dangerously unstable as the Muslim fundamentalists who’ve vowed to destroy you? It must be very taxing. And it can’t be an effective strategy. Imagine a game of chicken in which the first driver knows the second one is too sensible to want to die, but the second driver knows the first one is too crazy to fear death. Who wins? Plus, can you imagine how much more political influence you’d have? I know you’re all seething with jealously when you look over the globe and see that all the really good theocracies are Islamic. Those guys didn’t get there through reasoned debate and democracy. You guys have been trying for over 30 years to get your theocracy by way of the ballot box, and it’s just not happening. So, I think it’s time to let out that craziness that I know is just barely half an inch beneath your surface. Please, won’t you at least consider it?
