Dem Rep. Fattah Says Unemployed Will Vote For Obama to Keep Their Benefits (Video)

Far left Representative Chaka Fattah (D-PA) told Al Sharpton this week that the millions of unemployed Americans will vote for Obama – They want to keep their benefits.
It’s all about the handouts.

Real Clear Politics reported on the exchange:

“We’re headed in the right direction. Unemployment continues to drop and those people who are unemployed, they’re not going to be voting for the party who wants to cut their benefits, cut access to food stamps, cut job training,” Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-PA) said on MSNBC’s Al Sharpton program.

Spoken like a true Democrat.

Democraps have to buy votes as otherwise nobody would vote for them. Keep ’em poor and dependent. If people started doing well on their own there would be no more need for the Democrap Party.

  • Highlander

Well, at least they admit it …

  • obfuscatenot

So, rational thinking people need to ‘splain to the masses who want more from the Government, that they are strangling the golden goose(actual taxpayers).

So, when we are all poor-then what….you’ll still have makers and takers. Who will be better off?

  • Vince

If you are receiving government handouts at the expense of hard working tax paying citizens -YOU SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO VOTE! PERIOD. These parasites are destroying this country along with their Command in Thief.

    A second term for Barack Obama will be a tragedy. His farcical first term barely hinted at the disaster awaiting America in Barack II. Hobbled by a staggering lack of judgment and competence, and his ever-present reticence to make decisions that might impede his re-election, his first despicable term was a joke, despite a dearth of mirth. If given four more years without worry of electoral reprisal, he will wreak havoc upon the nation in ways that Barack, back in Barack I, only dreamed of. {..}

In 2008, Obama hoped the audacity of pretending to believe in America would propel him to the presidency, and he was right. If re-elected, Barack Obama will finally have the luxury of being himself, and that is something that should terrify every American.

The F-22 may be the most advanced fighter in the world, but how would Barack take credit for that? Better to cancel it and spend the money winning a future “built to last.”

{..}Our president wants total control over government, to exercise total control over all the little people. He knows what is best for them. No expense is too great for the nation to realize Barack Obama’s dream of saving people from too much freedom. He’ll spend any amount of money to remake the country in his own image, but he balks at spending money for the things government can actually do better, like space travel and defense.

    Calling four more years of Barack Obama a tragedy for America, and perhaps the world, may very well be an understatement. Since his inauguration, every pronouncement, legislative action, executive order, or regulatory fiat has been a veritable disaster for the nation. He has been so successful at being unsuccessful that it borders on hilarity…or is that Hillary? Never mind…I digress. (I DON’T FIND THIS FUNNY, HERE, nothing funny about Obama) article goes on{…}

The president says we should vote for him, because only a few have prospered while many have struggled. He has a point. After all, the man has spent three and a half years doing everything in his power to make this a reality.

This article covers just a few topics. The president has equally disastrous plans for international affairs, race relations, government ubiquity, union primacy, guns, taxes, health care, and the judiciary. Every single aspect of American life will be affected in Barack II.

The theme of Obama’s re-election campaign is “We can’t wait.” If Barack Obama is re-elected, Americans will soon long for the misery of “hope and change.”

Democrats thrive on destroyed lives and broken wills. Millions of people unemployed long term is their goal. It’s intentional.

  • Patty

This rep. maybe correct about the unemployed. Obama create the numbers of them and now, he could very well benefit from the numbers of them.

If there is a higher power and I am not talking about “the one” (Obama) I pray that they just stay home.

More Americans Than Projected Filed Jobless Claims Last Week

More Americans than forecast filed applications for unemployment benefits last week, a sign that the labor market is taking time to improve.

Jobless claims fell by 1,000 to 388,000 in the week ended April 21 from a revised 389,000 the prior period that was the highest since early January, Labor Department figures showed today in Washington. The median forecast of 48 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News called for a drop to 375,000.

Generally he’s right. The half of America that pays no taxes and steals money from the pockets of those who do work for a living are certainly going to vote for the Thief In Chief and all his fellow travellers.

Add to them all the illegal alien voters and the graveyard vote and ballot box stuffing and I think Obysmal has a very good chance of getting reelected. You can kiss “America” goodbye.

The Vetting – Exclusive: Obama Letter to Bell to Blurb ‘Dreams from My Father’

Barack Obama’s association with radical Critical Race Theory professor Derrick Bell did not end after Harvard Law School–and certainly not at the April 24, 1990 rally at which Obama embraced Bell, literally and figuratively. Breitbart News has discovered a letter sent by Obama to Bell in February 1995 in which Obama asks Bell to review–and to blurb–an early version of Obama’s autobiography, then entitled Dreams of My Father.

An assumption is being made that ALL welfare recipients WANT to remain on subsistence.

  • That pretty much sums up why this election is incredibly important. We are quickly reaching the tipping point where the entitlement state overwhelms the producers. If we reach that point, it will likely be irreversible, at least until the entire system collapses.

The benefits of the first Obama administration flowed to wealthy supporters of the administration by the billions. Had there been any intention at all to help the poor, the middle class, or black people generally, one would think that, in all those billions, there would have been room for the little guys.

So why should unemployed people vote for him, again? Are they going to allow him to fool them twice?

this was the plan from the start. put enough people on the dole to out vote the people that work. what the people on the dole should ask themselves is who is going to pay for their “benefits” when nobody is working. do they think chaka fattah is going to go work to do it.

The “little guys” got “their endz” as well.

Pigford I. Pigford II. Fannie and Freddie. Bailouts for home-loans.

Trust me. The current “rich folks” shopping and eating in my resort town are — in a non-surprising twist to our usual summer population-quadrupling crowd — blacker than usual.

Of course we still get the usual rich Chicagoans who are lightly-bearded, ponytailed professor-types — as usual. But there is a HUGE increase, starting about 2 years ago, of newly-wealthy black folks from ACORNland, from Pigfordland, from EntitlementLand, who have, all of a sudden, lots and lots of disposable income. And Cadillac SUVs.

Oh well. I live to serve.

  • Taqiyyotomist

At least they’re spending all that “Obama money” in my town.

Resort towns BOOM when Liberals get free money.

Tavis Smiley: ‘No One Who Happens to be Poor Wants What Romney Has’

Although the list is long and undistinguished, PBS’s Tavis Smiley said possibly one of the dumbest things he’s ever said on television Wednesday.

In a discussion about class warfare and the politics of envy on Fox News’s Hannity show, Smiley actually said with a straight face, “No one who happens to be poor wants what Mr. Romney has” (video follows with transcript and commentary):

This summer will be our best year yet.

And all the Flash-Robbery and Flash-beatings (usually on or around the 4th of July) will be, naturally, covered up by the local PD and so-called “newspaper”. Wouldn’t want the Tourists to know about that scary stuff. Our local newspaper runs, as many do, a Police Blotter each week — except the busiest weeks in mid-summer. Somehow, magically, the local paper doesn’t run a Police Blotter those weeks.

Also a new development — around three years new.

Tavis Smiley: ‘No One Who Happens to be Poor Wants What Romney Has’

Does this person mean “No one who is irresponsible with their money”?

It doesn’t just HAPPEN, for most of the “happen to be poor”.

    The stupid! It BURNS!

    #33 valerie — true.

We are, luckily, a Chicago-rich-people resort town in Michigan.

And Chicago is the new Washington D.C., with this administration.

  • Taqiyyotomist

In the summer, every person I see in my town (whose population does indeed quadruple in the summer months), I have to wonder: did they receive Pigford cash? Did they receive Solyndra, Lightsquared, and other “green” stolen money? Are they receiving grants for phony junk science and Communist Studies professorships?

    I can’t help it. That’s where we’re at, now.

  • Mo

Maybe they will vote for Romney because they would rather have a job than unemployment!!!!

  • shibumi

Yep. That’s why Michigan will probably go for Obama in the fall.

So what? They voted for Zippy at the rate of 96+% the first time. Do you really think there would be an intelligent thought process this time?

That’s the problem when a group moves in lockstep. The one side doesn’t need to do anything, and there’s nothing the other side can do.

  • Ella

#18 Valerie – it depends. If someone holds a minimum wage job, why would he want to get up early in the morning to go to work for 10% more in wages if he could get unemployment and stay in bed instead? Believe me, there are masses in Western Europe who would much rather not go to work and take their unemployment and sit on their behinds all day doing nothing. Screw that 10%, you would have to get up out of bed early in the morning for that! That’s the bottom line of it. Hate to say it, but human nature pretty much defaults to lazy.

It’s too bad that “City of Big Shoulders” or “The City that Works” attitude didn’t make it to DC.

I’ve lived in both places, and Chicago was so much better. That’s why I understand Michelle Obama’s thesis the way I do. She went to Princeton about the time I firs went to DC, her from Chicago and me from Houston. Neither of us liked the prejudice we found there. The difference between us is that she thought it was all about skin color, and I thought it was about provincialism.

The bottom line of the Obama Presidency is that Republicans did not get their butts out to the ballot box in 2008!

Hopefully in November, the huge financial burden Obama has imposed upon working taxpayers will motivate Republicans to at least TRY this time.

Instead of whining on the blogs about the Socialist poser sitting in the Oval Office, it might be helpful to actually get out and work to make sure we never have to see the First Grifters mugs in the news again!
