UN Human Rights Council Will Investigate US Voter ID Laws

Good grief. The United Nations Human Rights Council will investigate US voter ID laws. The issue was brought to the council by the NAACP. The UNHRC includes member states Cuba, China, Indonesia, Congo and Saudi Arabia.
Poor Richard’s News reported on this from FOX News:

The United Nations Human Rights Council is investigating the issue of American election laws at its gathering on minority rights in Geneva, Switzerland.. This, despite the fact that some members of the council have only in the past several years allowed women to vote, and one member, Saudi Arabia, still bars women from the voting booth completely.

Officials from the NAACP are presenting their case against U.S. voter ID laws, arguing to the international diplomats that the requirements disenfranchise voters and suppress the minority vote.

Eight states have passed voter ID laws in the past year, voter ID proposals are pending in 32 states and the Obama administration has recently moved to block South Carolina and Texas from enacting their voter ID measures.

“This really is a tactic that undercuts the growth of your democracy,” said Hillary Shelton, the NAACP’s senior vice president for advocacy, about voter photo ID requirements.

In a Fox News interview prior to his trip, Shelton said the message from the NAACP delegation to the Human Rights Council is that the photo ID law “undercuts the integrity of our government, if you allow it to happen. It’s trickery, it’s a sleight-of-hand. We’re seeing it happen here and we don’t want it to happen to you, and we are utilizing the U.N. as a tool to make sure that we are able to share that with those countries all over the world.

    This gets me so angry!

Who the HELL cares what the UN thinks about our voting laws or about anything??

They should stay where they belong. Wherever that is!

Let’s see if I have this straight. A group that has devolved from a legitimate civil rights organization into a race-baiting grievance-mongering cluster **** is taking a totally fabricated case full of lies to another group, one that exists solely for the promotion of Marxism and wealth redistribution, and for the protection of dictators, thugs, and despots.

    Ok, that should work.

    And so it begins………..
Here come the dictates from the world body of pedophiles, rapists, dictators, eugenicists, tyrants, do-nothing bureaucrats, and ___________ (please help me fill in the blanks-I’m really pissed at this point) to subvert OUR supposedly fair elections. They are trying to piss off Americans anyway they possibly can to get a reaction out of us-it’s what they want.

Folks- these A**HOLES communists in charge of our government aren’t going to leave but by anything but force.

One of the main efforts of the Soros-backed UN NWO movement toward internationalized oppression is to subjugate and dismantle the US. They will accomplish this by destroying our freedoms by shredding our Constitution though their conduit, Comrade Barry Hussein. Destroying the First Amendment is their first major battle, at all costs. Remember that recent statement by commie operative Panetta that US military engagement will come through international approval and not through Congress – which is treasonous.

We choose to ignore UN diktats at our peril. We have been infiltrated by traitors – Barry, Hillary, Panetta, Holder, Sunstein, Sebelius, and so many others.

WE asked about voter ID here in this African country.
They require photo NATIONAL ID PLUS photo ID VOTER CARD. Out came the wallets and got to inspect them. Yup. Now the GNP per capita income around these parts – all the surrounding coutnries too is no higher than $600. So, poorer than anything imaginable in the USA… and they ALL have photo IDs.

The reaction to the statement that in the USA the Democratic Party says that ID shouldn’t be required was met with an incredulous STARE, “How are they supposed to know if the voter is LEGAL?”

SO, don’t blame NORMAL people. If any vote supporting the DEMS is made, it’ll be rank, raw absolute cynical political deal-making (probably bribes here and there – normal cheating) .

Not a SINGLE UN person from another country can vote in his or her country without photo ID, PLUS usually a specific VOTER ID, so for them to listen to this drivel will be polite facade of listening, laugh behind their backs mockery.

Thanks NAACP for telegraphing to the world that Black Americans must be complete and utter idiots. The whinging and wailing about how those well-dressed chubbies have it so tough doesn’t go over well in countries that have GNP per cap of under $1000.

No one can vote in a UN – supervised election without a valid voter ID.

They have no standing to investigate anything here and officials need to grow a pair and deny them access to anything on that basis.

I cannot believe the NAACP would do this. It is so racist.

The UN is NOT our friend. I look forward to the day that we have a government that will kick the UN out of the United States and will stop the current flow of money from the United States to the UN.

The NAACP deserves to be MOCKED and RIDICULED for giving the entire world the impression that American Blacks are unbelievably stupid. They REALLY want BLACKER people than they STARING at them like they had four heads each?

    Message to UN, Bite me.

  • this is another racist lie of the civil rights movement. i registered to vote in 1965. i’m sitting here looking at the voter registration card i was given when i registered. i can remember being asked to show this card the first several times i voted. so having voter identification is nothing new in the united states.

everything the civil rights leaders and liberal america has done since they fought to establish the principle of one man one vote has been to to undermine that principle and facilitate voter fraud, from motor voter to register by mail, by phone, to the work of acorn. the quest to have voter ID is an attempt to make our elections honest and once again the NCAAP is on the side of dishonesty

they have voter id for alcohol…
and if you want a room at a hotel
    but not for voting?

the only reason to block voter id laws is so that Dems can use illegal to vote.
that’s the only way they can win elections.

  • #24…we were required to get voter ID’s when we registered to vote until the civil rights leaders undermined the practice by supporting registration practices that facilitated voter fraud.

  • I want to know if they are getting any federal help or funding presenting this case.
it may be a legal violation iirc.

If we as a nation ignore this?

    More, sharper pointy sticks.

Until we let ourselves get pushed into the inevitable mass graves.

Someone over at LGF (the now astray bastion of insanity which must still be credited with much good for the blogosphere) once used to say “Faster, please!” when this sort of thing ratcheted up another notch….

First things first. This November we must destroy the Democratic party politically for at least a generation to give us time to unwind their progressive messes. If it has a (D) after its name on any ballot, for any office anywhere vote against it. Governor, State Legislature, Town council, school board, local Rotary President, you name it, vote against them if they even smell like a (D). Don’t support the farm teams. It only encourages them. No compromise, no ‘meeting halfway’, no moderation. These people want to destroy us. It’s time to return the favor.

  • talgus

why not 1) End early voting and 2) purple thumbs for all voters. Ink that does not come off, only wears off in time. If the ink is strong enough, early voting can be allowed in a few days prior. None of the current free for all (and even worse, voting by EMAIL!!!!)

It’s amazing the extent to which some blacks will degrade themselves. When I hearan adult black get on national radio and say he can’t get an ID, or suggest that his “community” has insurmountable problems getting IDs, I want to vomit.

But it’s really about America’s perpetual children stealing elections for Democrats, the guarantor of perpetual parasitism.

  • TeeDub

I’m just guessing, but you might expect countries, whose leaders stay in power through rigged elections, to have a dim view of required voter identification.

  • Flash Gordon

SCREW the UN…….they need to get the UN out of the US alltogether!!!!!!

  • TeeDub

I know people on welfare. You need a photo ID to get almost any public assistance. Somehow these millions of disenfrachised Blacks manage to do that. How is that possible if getting an ID is such a burden?

In our state a four year general ID (no motor vehicle) costs $4 for four years. There ain’t nobody in this country too broke for that.

The only reason anybody is against voter ID is that they want to perpetuate voter fraud. Any argument against it is simple lame bulls#1t. They hope to throw out the race card to intimidate spineless lawmakers.

  • bobdog

We should tread softly with these folks. They may withhold their financial support for the UN.

    Oh. They already do that.

Well, maybe they’ll threaten to move UN Headquarters out of New York.

Which would be a capital idea, from where I sit.

JoyO, I understand your shock at the NAACP behaving this way, when considering the NAACP as it once was. But this fiasco is entirely consistent with what the group has become, since being taken over by the hard left wing. It’s no longer about civil rights, but about promoting leftist ideals, redistributing wealth, and worst of all, the deliberate agenda of blatant lying to try to keep black Americans angry and resentful, so they will continue to vote Democrat.

The NAACP is no different now than it was when it was formed by the Fabian communist, they have just stopped putting on the false front that has duped so many.

  • paul52

We have a shiny, new voter ID law here in Wisconsin. Anyone as smart as a sponge can get a photo ID. Yet, 2 liberal judges have already knocked it down as we will have a recall election in June for the governor. NAACP bought one of the judges, BTW.

Obama To Be First President To Chair UN Security Council

[Some unprecedented news today, folks. Never in the history of the
United Nations has a U.S. President taken the chairmanship of the
powerful UN Security Council. Perhaps it is because of what could
arguably be a Constitutional prohibition against doing so. To wit:
Section 9 of the Constitution says:

No Title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person
holding any Office of Profit or Trust under them, shall, without the Consent
of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any
kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.

    to investigate American voter-ID laws

[Stop me if you’ve heard this joke before. A Saudi, a Cuban, and

voting practices. Haven’t heard this one? ]
