Sheriff Joe Arpaio: Obama’s Birth Certificate Is a Forgery (Video)

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio announced today that he believes Obama’s birth certificate was a forgery.
The Washington Times reported, via Free Repubic:
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Thursday he suspects the birth certificate President Obama released last year is a “computer-generated forgery” — and also raised questions about the authenticity of the president’s Selective Service card.
“Based on all of the evidence presented and investigated, I cannot in good faith report to you that these documents are authentic,” Sheriff Arpaio said. “My investigators believe that the long-form birth certificate was manufactured electronically and that it did not originate in paper format as claimed by the White House.”
Questions over Mr. Obama’s birth certificate have been a political sideshow for the last four years, and have persisted despite repeated denials by the White House, and despite the release of evidence he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on Aug. 4, 1961. That evidence included both a certificate of live birth released during the 2008 campaign and the long-form certificate last year.
Fact-check organizations have concluded the certificates are authentic, and Mr. Obama has joked about those who questioned his birth. At last year’s White House Correspondents Association Dinner, soon after releasing his long-form certificate, he mocked Donald Trump, who had said his own investigators were looking into the matter.
Now Sheriff Arpaio, who first built his national profile by creating tent cities for jail inmates and later by taking a tough stance on illegal immigration, could reignite questions among those who continue to believe Mr. Obama was born outside the U.S., and therefore is ineligible to be president under the Constitution’s provision that the officeholder be a natural-born citizen.

The governor of Hawaii said he saw the birth certificate. Then he said he didn’t and that it doesn’t exist. Then after being told for almost two years that it doesn’t exist, Trump raises a fuss and voila, it exists!
Sheriff Joe is right. Something stinks. Now, maybe it does exist and Obama is playing the public for fools. I don’t know. But this PDF file sure would not hold up in any court of law.

Wow. Arpaio said somewhere in there that Hawaii wasn’t a state? What parallel dimension version of the video did you watch? Of course it’s a state. That’s sort of the point: they forged a birth certificate from the STATE of Hawaii so that a foreign-born guy would appear to be a US citizen.

Now blow up the zoom to 600% on the number 61 10641 in the upper right. The last “1″ is completely different, pixillated at a much lower resolution. Similarly blow up the date in the lower right, which says Date Accepted, Aug – 8, 1961. It has the “Date A”, “Aug – 8″, and the “6″ in a lighter gray in comparison to the black ink. Why does the green hash background extend to the whole page if it a photocopy from a book?

Sadly, you seem to lack a fundamental understanding of law and standing. A Sheriff has complete authority and DUTY to forward for charges a case where a violation of law occurred. He can run that through a state prosecutor for a violation of state law (probably under a voter section law, but could be general forgery if that document was submitted to the state by either barry or the DNC and relied upon as original).
Even polls a year or two ago showed a significant # of Americans do not believe he was born in the U.S.
But I’m sure facts will not get in the way of the fiction you live in.

It depends on if the case was dismissed with prejudice. If it wasn’t, then the same case with new supporting information which tends to prove the case could be resubmitted.
If the DNC or barry actually submitted the documents to the states, then each would have individual violations of state statutes. If they submitted sworn statements that he was eligible, then those statements would be the issue; however, the forged certificate would be material evidence to prove that they INTENDED to commit a crime or cover up a crime.
If this story ever had legs, it could go somewhere. Sadly, RINO Mitt, if elected, is quite likely to absolve him in order to forster “peace”. Does anybody doubt me on that?

However, his parents were both American citizens and, according to what I have read, since his parents never relinquished their American citizenship, and since Mexico never considered them citizens of Mexico, George Romney would be considered natural born.

And if he were traveling with an Indonesian passport, that would tend to prove that he relinquished whatever previous citizenship he held, British or American, prior to being adopted by his Indonesian step-father in 1967.
Whatever the truth of the matter, the American people need to know how he managed to become a “natural born” American citizen between 1981 and 2008.”

There are in fact ways to determine if a document is forged. It’s interesting that no one has ever used one of those ways to determine that Obama’s documents were forged. If someone ever proves they were forged, get back to me on that. They’ve been online for so long and so many people said they were forged, but I guess they weren’t because no one put out the evidenciary proof.

It would be nice if Owebama released the originals for testing as it’s hard to prove a forgery when you only have photocopies/computer generated copies. Even though proving forgery is difficult with a photocopy, there are simply too many questions about Owebama’s birth certificate as released that have never been satisfactoriy answered. On top of that is the postmark date issue on his Selective Service registration missing the ’19′ in ’1980′.
I still want an explanation from Sir Golfsalot as to why his entire life’s records were sealed as his first act as President.
Owebama’s about as transparent as Mississippi mud.

I like the way Arpaio zeroed in on the prison-beckoning parts of the documents: the seal that supposedly “authenticates” the document can be moved all over the place, the P.O.date stamp.
The Selective Service registration date stamp is very bad news. There is a rather large warning of nasty, lengthy legal penalities for anything on that card being false, and no way in hell did the Post Office have a half date stamp. They CAN’T. Otherwise there is no way to tell the difference between 1808, 1908 and 2008, and the P.O stamp is a LEGAL receipt acknowlegement. The LAW designs those things so there are no questions.
So, lovely to see all these trolls defending someone who they cannot even verify is who he says he is.

According to the story, Sheriff Arpaio investingated, found evidence of a possible fraudulent document (or documents), and released the results of the investigation. That’s all he did.
He did not say that Obama created the documents in question, or even commissioned the creation, nor did Sheriff Arpaio say that Obama is ineligible, nor did he say that Obama was not born in Hawaii. Some folks here really need to read the story before commenting.

Our earliest opportunity to get rid of Obama is November 6, and then to see it done, January 20, 2013.
Of course after that, we have eternity to get to the heart of how a corrupt Democrat-controlled congress and a complicit mainstream media colluded in perpetrating a fraud on the U.S. And what would be interesting, provided it could ever be proven that Obama was not eligible to be president, is whether or not anything he signed into law is therefore automatically repealed. And even more interesting, could he end up in prison for fraud.

I suggest the degree to which Arpaio’s news conference has been swept under the rug by most news sources – including the conservative bloggersphere – is a dangerous omen.
The peril at play is the seriousness of the issue. Do you really believe that if the Republicans keep the house, take the senate and the white house that there will be so much as a peep raised over this? I believe not. The Republicans will be more than happy to let bygones be bygones and “move on”.

THat’ what was interesting about the law enforcement perspective – they cut through the noise and go for the criminal codes violated.
That prompts the other oddity. Why is the Selective Service registered in 2008 in Hawaii and not earlier in .. say CHicago? Or Cambridge (Harvard years) or New York?
If he was OK with presenting 08 implying 2008 as the date, then why a card that looks like it tried to be Hawaii instead of where he was at the time, like somewhere Illinois or actually Washington DC. or Maryland or wherever he was living as senator? It’s pretty disgusting to have dodged that for years, but the honest situation would have produced a straight-up 2008 card, not an attempt that implies a decades old feel with a current date.
hmmm hmm Did a foreigner make that fake? A foreigner is more likely have assumed all these things had to have been made at the home of record … as is the case in many other countries.

Sheriff Joe presented his findings into the birth certificate of Obama and said he has credible evidence proving it to be a fraud. He would not say that Obama was the one responsible for that fraud as he does not know who made the documents, but they do have a person of interest and know whose computer the document was on 20 minutes before it was uploaded.
Sheriff Joe just said he is responsible to investigate and was after the truth. That truth is that they have probable evidence that the uploaded documents purporting to be Obama’s birth certificate(s) are fraudulent.
Conclusion: There does not appear to be a valid registered birth certificate which is on file to prove Obama is eligible to run as President of the United States on the ballot. If Obama does not introduce credible evidence and documentation, Sheriff Joe and those responsible for certification should not allow Obama’s name to be placed on the ballot. It is their responsiblity under the Constitution which they have sworn to uphold to make sure the law is followed. If Obama does come up with the registered, certified evidence then that is another matter entirely. Sheriff Joe is open to that possibility, and there are those who say Obama has the real certificate but did not produce it for political reasons. Whatever the case may be, until Obama produces credible certifiable evidence to prove he is a US citizen, he is not qualified to be put on the ballot or voted for in Arizona for the office of POTUS – and the law should be pursued to the point where his name is not included on those legal ballots.

Arpaio’s “investigator” either doesn’t understand scanner options, or pretends not to. By way of introduction, I’ve been an Adobe engineer for 25 years, and am a co-inventor on seven Adobe software patents, and one of the authors of Adobe Illustrator.
I viewed Arpaio’s videos, and then downloaded the pdf file and examined the contents, including the metadata. Together they indicate that it was scanned in by the application Preview on a Mac running OS 10.6.7, using the “Import from Scanner” command with the OCR option turned on, and then saved without the OCR data. It was not created in Illustrator, Photoshop or Acrobat; Illustrator is just capable of examining the internal structure of all public (non-secured) PDF files, regardless of how they were created.
Preview allows scanning directly into PDF with the OCR happening at the time of import. The reason that the image scanned in Arpaio’s demo video doesn’t contain what the narrator calls “layers” is that he didn’t scan directly into PDF with the OCR import option turned on. The reason the White House pdf file doesn’t have searchable OCR data in it is that you always have the option at Save time to strip that data. (Arpaio claims the OCR explanation is “disproved” because the pdf file is not searchable.) Apparently the person scanning the certificate had the OCR option on by default, and then omitted the searchable text at Save time.
There is a file on the WND website called “www.wnd.com/files/2011/07/meta110801.pdf” that also examines the pdf metadata, and claims that the file was generated by using a “Print to PDF” command from within Preview. While that process would create the same metadata, it would not create the white halos and the bitmapped areas and the separation into multiple image pieces that are evident in the birth certificate file, all of which are created by OCR scanning.
The large background image is not a clean “paper” image as Arpaio’s video implies – it contains the white halos, the ruling lines, part of the signature, and some of the characters – all of the areas that were not sent to the OCR analyzer.
What the OCR algorithm does in a scanner is first decide if there is a colored or non-white background. If so, it puts white halos around all the black regions to mask out the background. Then it picks up the black areas and their surrounding white halos, removes those pixels from the image below, and makes a bunch of separate images floating on top for those “maybe text” areas. Then it converts the pixels in those pieces to sharp black and white, at twice the resolution, so that a gray pixel in the original becomes a 2×2 grid of black and white pixels, making the shape easier to resolve. (This difference of the text areas being sharper and higher res is apparently what the narrator means in Arpaio’s video lesson by “uneven noise”.) Then it attaches searchable metadata to those images saying what text it interpreted each image as containing.
That’s why the R in BARAK is part of the background image, and not part of the sharp image that has most of the text in it – the R was apparently struck lightly by the typist, making it light enough that the OCR prep phase did not interpret it as a “black” region.
That’s also why the D in Dunham is part of the green background, while the rest of her name was picked up and sharpened into a separate image – because the D is lighter.
Would anyone attempting to forge a document merge all the grayish parts of the text onto the background paper image, while pulling the black parts into separate layers?
The two images at the top that seem blank when the narrator flips past them are tiny blobs of white that fit into the waffle grain, where the OCR prep phase has interpreted dust as being potential text. Would somebody faking a document put noise sprinkles on top that exactly mimic the way an OCR scanner prepares an image with a color background?
Anybody with Illustrator can open the White House pdf files and verify these details about the image pieces.

Wow, your comment looks great, and I’m inclined to believe it. One small problem: We all know that the Obama birth record is half typed and half handwritten. Fukino of Hawaii told us so. Therefore, the document presented is not the Obama birth record, but a creation on somebody’s part. So even if you are correct, the pdf is a scan of a created document, not a scan of the birth record. Most people would prefer to see the real thing, which the White House document cannot be. I find it likely that some portion of the record as portrayed on the document is made up, especially the doctor and hospital part. Until we see the real thing, the questions will never end. We don’t really know what is being hidden, but it seems obvious that something is. The facts are self-evident. Obama struggles for years to keep his birth record hidden, but when he releases it there is no apparent reason for it to be hid. The meat of the problem must be in the half that is handwritten.
