A reporter from The New York Times claims that Rick Santorum cursed at him in a rope line after a speech in Wisconsin. Santorum was reportedly responding to a statement Rick made about Romney being the “worst Republican” to run against Obama.
This was ugly.
Yahoo reported:
Rick Santorum reportedly grew heated and accused a New York Times reporter of distorting a statement he made in an earlier speech, even yelling “It’s bulls-t” to him.
Jeff Zeleny of the New York Times tweeted, “I ask Santorum if Romney is ‘worst Republican’ to run. He says: ‘Quit Distorting my words It’s bulls-t.’ He says he was talking health care”
During the speech, as he railed against Mitt Romney for his healthcare plan in Massachusetts, Santorum said the former Massachusetts governor was the “worst Republican in the country” to take on President Obama.
“Pick any other Republican in the country. He is the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama,” Santorum said at South Hills Country Club.Santorum was asked by reporters to elaborate on what he meant by the categorization, and he insisted he was talking about the issue of healthcare.
“I would say as for on the issue of health care, yes, that’s what I was talking about. ‘Obamacare,’ as you heard me say,” Santorum said. “On the issue of health care. That’s what I said. I didn’t say anything different than that. That’s exactly what I said.”
Santorum increasingly grew agitated with the first group of reporters asking him to clarify his statement.
“On the issue of health care. That’s what I was talking about, and I was very clear about talking about that. OK? C’mon guys, don’t do this. I mean you guys are incredible,” he said. “I was talking about ‘Obamacare,’ and he is the worst because he was the author of Romneycare.”
On Saturday Rick Santorum did say that Romney was “uniquely unqualified” to take on Obama.

That’s rich Miss Prissy outrage coming from the Profanity-addicted Left.
Why didn’t the reporter take a contraceptive pill and chill-lax? Doctor Fluke said it’s a terrific home remedy, even whitens bathroom grout.

Fifty year old manure spreader FOR SALE- $1.00 or best offer. (Washington, D.C.)

Fifty-year old manure spreader. Not sure of brand. Said to have been produced in Kenya. Used for a few years in Indonesia before being smuggled into the US via Hawaii. Of questionable pedigree. Does not appear to have ever been worked very hard. Apparently it was pampered by various owners over the years. It doesn’t work very often, but when it does it can really spread the manure and sling it for amazing distances. I am hoping to retire this manure spreader next November. But I really don’t want it hanging around getting in the way. I would prefer a foreign buyer that is willing to relocate this manure spreader out of the country. I would be willing to trade this manure spreader for a nicely framed copy of the United States Constitution.
Location: Washington, D.C.

Geesh. Rick just needs to bow out now and endorse Romney or forever be known as “Candidate Pissy” for his incessant whining.
My only question is, seriously, who is voting for this guy? Even the people voting for him say he has no chance to beat Obama but they vote for him anyway? Isn’t that a defacto vote for Obama?
Screw requiring ID’s for a person to vote, how about requiring IQ tests?

different standards……joe biden says bfd to obama’s healthcare approval and now the campaign is marketing t-shirts for $30 a pop. the problems with having standards is that if you slip up once the guys with no standards will call you on it.

“Screw requiring ID’s for a person to vote, how about requiring IQ tests?” the dems would probably have a system for giving some kind of credit to their voters to raise their scores. civil service was big like that….so many points for being a minority, etc. being added in to the score. the guy always on the end of the totem pole was the white guy who wasn’t a college grad or vetran and not disabled.

Anyway, how does “it’s bull$hit” = “cursing at”?
Not in my book.

On the other hand, Santorum does have a funny way of walking things back.
Remember, “I didn’t say black people, I said blah people, you know, blah people, blah people”

Listening to the speech anyone would agree that Santorum was talking about the fact that Romney would be the worst to go against Obama as far as the healthcare bill goes. Romney was the “godfather” of the plan. Obama team used Romney’s experts, Romney wrote op-eds pushing it for a national plan, pushed the individual mandate in op-eds and on Meet the Press. Yep nominated Romney will negate any healthcare issue against Obama. Obama’s team is already hanging it around Romney’s neck with a sign that says I’m the Godfather of healthcare and Romney will have no arguement. Same with climate chg, same with Tarp and higher taxes disguised as fees. Good for Santorum. Stay in Rick

SO? Sounds like Rick would pick up more votes with this story. Have you seen the language used at Obama fundraisers? BFD ring a bell?

Trust something a reporter from NYT says???? Ha, never!

How many hot-headed gaffes is Santorum allowed in one campaign? How many walk-backs? This guy has to be an Obama plant because he is doing everything imaginable to make Obama look like the calm sensible candidate. I wish Santorum would go away but he’s obsessed, and no one can stop him – which looks like will lead to four more years of the destructionistic Obama Administration – amplified in his lame duck term.

I have no doubt that Jeff Zeleny is a liar and scum.
We should stop treating the leftwing press with respect. We should consider ways to punish the media, from reporters to editors to producers, for their decades of slanted news.
They need to be held individually accountable.
We will never have a free press as long as the press is biased left. In fact, we will be lucky to the Constitution at all unless the press starts being unbiased. Example:
http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/25/judges-discarded-impartiality-by-signing-recall-petitions-say-journalists-who-signed-recall-petitions/
These people are destroying civility, liberty, and the Constitution. The 1st Amendment protects freedom of the press, not the license to lie and engage in partisan politics.
an observer commented:
After watching the newsbusters video, I’ve come to the conclusion that Jeff Zeleny should be “persona non grata” at any and all Republican candidate’s event and automatically thrown out.
It wasn’t a “gaffe” – it was RIGHTEOUS ANGER and indignation that Santorum was displaying and I think we on the right should be showing a lot more of it against the media – at all levels from camera crew to news producers.

I agree with #9 Gary.
Saying something is BS — is not “cursing at”.
Good grief — this is BREAKING NEWS NOW!
“OMG Santorum ASSAULTED ME with vile, hateful, despicable WORDS!!! Can I sue??”
