Local NAACP Leader Rejects Sharpton’s Call for Escalation of Civil Disobedience

Local NAACP leaders in Seminole County Florida rejected Al Sharpton’s call for an escalation in civil disobedience.
Click Orlando reported:

The Rev. Al Sharpton said Friday his National Action Network will “move to the next level” if George Zimmerman is not arrested in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Sharpton called for an escalation in peaceful civil disobedience and economic sanctions, although he did not say what those sanctions might be.

Turner Clayton, the Seminole County chapter president of the NAACP, reacted immediately to Sharpton’s warning, saying, “We hope that the citizens of Sanford will govern themselves accordingly. We are not calling for any sanctions, against any business or anyone else. And, of course, what Rev. Sharpton does, that’s strictly the [National] Action Network. We can’t condone that part of the conversation, if that’s what he said.”

Clayton said he believes that the expected 3,000 people who will attend Saturday’s march and rally in Sanford will realize the difference between Sharpton’s message and the NAACP’s mission.

“I don’t think they can confuse that,” Clayton said. “It’s just that they will have to make a judgment as to whether they want to follow the mission of the NAACP or follow what the Rev. Sharpton said.”

Well good. It sounds like it will be a peaceful assembly that we can all attend and work out our differances. Everyone was so worried too. It’s funny how things work out for the best. Lock your doors.

Mmm. Wow. :shaking my head, and laughing:

    Good 1st comment.

Like, awww! Good! Everything will be fine, now! Release the ponies and unicorns!

    They s**t Skittles™, you know.

    I mean, everyone knows that.

Nope, they’re not learning. This is about self-preservation. If an out of state interloper stirs up a destructive race riot then local black leaders will be unable to play the victim and sympathy cards. If Floridians have to sift through the ashes of a riot then they will finally see the ignorant, violent hooligans for who they are, instead of the innocent and downtrodden “youth” the media portrays them to be.

The train has already been set into motion. This crowd is already so agitated and angry it will not accept any result other than a conviction for murder one.

    Must admit: SMART MOVE!!

The sanctions are: No more buying crack.

Are there any all-white prisons to which they could possibly send Zimmerman?

Good God. What happens the minute he sets foot in even a COUNTY jail?

Hope this dude, while in hiding, is getting a crash course in some serious martial arts.

And I hope that Zimmerman isn’t thinking of suicide.

If he does that — the Race Mob will still want someone’s blood — by their hands.

And THAT, my friends, is just the possibilities if he is brought in.

If they decide (on April 9) that he remains clear of wrongdoing?

God help America. We’re talking Joel Chapter 2.

    Joel 2

It’s not about locusts (the movie Day of the Locusts was supposedly about this false interpretation of the chapter).

It’s about people. An army of them. Coming over the land LIKE locusts, over your rooftops, into your windows. All at once.

Anyone who says it’s about locusts (including those “translators” of the NIV) is LYING TO YOU.

“Clayton said that the rallies are going to show support from the community and show the special prosecutor that “we are interested in what happened, and we’re not going to stand by and let them do something that the people of Sanford will not accept.” ”

I can go with that. The special prosecutor at some point will make a decision, and that decision will need to be in writing. I would not be surprised if a decision is made to try the case, even if it appears at the outset that the defendant has a good defense. Zimmerman’s right is to a trial by a jury of his peers according to the rule of law. He has that right so that others don’t lynch him for killing another human being. His right is to present his defense in a calm and orderly manner, not to avoid trial at all.

If, at the close of the evidence against him, the prosecution has not made its case, or if the defendant then proceeds to present a compelling defense, the court may issue a directed verdict.

The Floridians have already seen the New Black Panthers sounding like fools; they have heard that Trayvon’s parents want nothing to do with them. And, they know carpetbaggers when they see them.

Sometimes, even when the Law and its application after due process says a guy is innocent…

…the mob gets what it demands.

Taqiyyotomist, that’s what a directed verdict, or a judgment notwithstanding the verdict, is for.

And yet another National Distraction arises, unbidden.

    Who knew?

Yeah, they can give us seven months of media distractions and national crises.

Here comes the next. Every six days or so, another.

And the media will comply — and ignore Iran, Israel, our borders, and hey! I was at the gas station today, and gasoline was $4.12 for Regular! (Hey, look at the pantsless senator, people!)

It is an evil art, but an art nonetheless — and these folks are creating an exquisite masterpice of public deception and control.

Mao, in the long run, will be ashamed.
